The first thing you'll notice on this 6th gen RAV4 is,

of course, that the styling is certainly different.

The front end sees that hammerhead headlight look that we see across all of Toyota's lineup.

And even the rear sees new fascias and tail lights.

But the size of this RAV4 hasn't really changed.

The exterior dimensions of this 6th gen RAV4 are very similar to that of the 5th gen. Like the Camry,

the RAV4 is only available with hybrid powertrains.

This is the traditional hybrid 226 horsepower in front-wheel drive configuration,

236 horsepower with all-wheel drive with the additional third electric motor.

EPA figures are very impressive.

A front-wheel drive RAV4 can see see up to 47 miles per gallon in the city, 43 combined.

And all wheel drive configurations like here in this limited can see somewhere between 41 and 42 miles per gallon combined respectively.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain also returns and it's better than ever.

320 horsepower, standard all drive,

and up to 50 miles of all-electric driving on a single charge,

thanks to a slightly larger battery.

And the PHEV is available on not just one trim,
