1
Hermes Agent is the most powerful AI software out there right now.
2
The issue is 99% of people have no idea what to do with it.
3
In this video, I'm going to go over six use cases that have totally transformed my workflow.
4
By the end of this video,
5
if you stick with me,
6
you'll have a 24-7 AI employee doing work for you around the clock.
7
Now let's lock in and get into it.
8
So I've been using Hermes Agent a ton for a couple of months now.
9
I have it working for me at all times.
10
I've literally had like five different Hermes agents doing work for me
11
So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go through six use cases.
12
I think are incredible now If you haven't set up Hermes agent yet,
13
I have a full setup video link for
14
that is down below check it out I don't want to
15
go through Hermes setup on every single video I do so check that out if you're not set up yet,
16
but you're set up Let's go into some of these use
17
cases use case number one I think is one of those underrated features in AI this year
18
and that is slash goal
19
But how do you slash goal because
20
if you use slash goal the wrong way you will get absolutely nothing out of it
21
But if you use slash goal the right way you get incredible results
22
So for those who don't know slash goal allows your agent
23
to do really long-running tasks I've had slash goal run for
24
over 24 hours straight for me working on a task The
25
key to it is is meta prompting though This is what unlock slash goal.
26
If you do slash goal and just say,
27
build me an app, you might as well not written slash goal.
28
It'll just build an app like a normal thing.
29
But if you get it,
30
the right details and the right constraints,
31
slash goal becomes a banger.
32
Now the question becomes, how do you get those details and constraints?
33
Simple, meta-prompting.
34
So how do you meta-prompt?
35
Well, you go to your AI,
36
you tell what you wanna do.
37
You say, hey, build this prompt for me.
38
And it will make a detailed prompt way better than you could have written by yourself.
39
So here's the one I'm going to use.
40
I want to do a slash goal with you,
41
but first I want to come up with the perfect prompt for it.
42
I'm looking to build a 3D third-person shooter with Godot.
43
Then I go into all the details of the game.
44
Then I say at the end,
45
please build me a slash goal prompt for this.
46
And I hit enter.
47
This is going to build me the slash goal prompt.
48
And what this will do is give Hermes a really powerful goal prompt
49
that will allow it to run for literally hours on end,
50
building absolutely incredible apps.
51
This is what you want to do if you want Hermes to build you a really detailed, complex app.
52
If you want to make really detailed,
53
complex changes, if you want to write really long,
54
detailed documents, this is when you would use Slash Goal.
55
A lot of the times,
56
I'll have Hermes kick off a Slash Goal to build an app
57
that I will take the code it writes
58
and put it into like a Claude code or codex to finish the work off,
59
but Slash Goal is a really good way to do So here we go.
60
It built me an entire opinionated slash goal prompt.
61
Look how much more detailed that is That is way better than a prompt I have.
62
So what we're gonna do is this I'm gonna copy it I'm gonna paste it in there.
63
I am going to hit enter on
64
that prompt It's going to first before kicking off the slash goal ask me a few questions,
65
which I love It's just gonna clarify some things before works for hours on end
66
and then off it goes It's gonna start building the game
67
and this could run for a very long time We will check back on this game towards the end of this video.
68
So stick around for the result of this massive slash goal.
69
But use slash goal, but more critically,
70
do meta prompting with it.
71
Next up, I want to talk about starting your day with the Hermes Kanban board.
72
If you're not familiar, Hermes just released this feature.
73
It's incredible.
74
It's a built-in Kanban board.
75
And what's great is, is when you put tasks in this Kanban board,
76
it auto assigns the task to your Hermes agents and sub-agents and gets it done autonomous.
77
To access this, just go to your terminal,
78
type in Hermes dashboard, hit enter,
79
it'll give you a URL,
80
you click on it, you go to Kanban
81
and you're in here's how I like to use this though
82
this is my favorite way to use this every day I
83
start off my day I write down my to-do list of
84
things I need to do on this piece of paper
85
and then I take anything Hermes can do
86
and I put it in my Kanban port I put it in triage
87
if you put your ideas in the triage it auto assigns them to agents
88
so here's the routine that has changed my life you wake up,
89
go to your computer, open up your Kanban board,
90
get all your to-do items for that day,
91
and start putting them in triage.
92
So here's how I'll do it.
93
I'll say script a new Hermes YouTube video about use cases.
94
I'll click create, and I'll make a new one.
95
Come up with three tweets about Hermes use cases.
96
Create, that's two in there.
97
Find all the latest trending AI tools,
98
and make a report, create.
99
And so now I start my day.
100
I got my tasks I need to do that day.
101
I give it to triage inside the Hermes Kanban board.
102
Now I go, I look at my other things like pay my credit card bill.
103
Hermes, unfortunately at the moment, can't do that.
104
Maybe that's a feature coming soon.
105
I go, I pay the bill myself.
106
I come back and as you can see,
107
it's taking the tasks from triage and it's moving it into to-do and getting it done autonomously for me.
108
So you start your day,
109
you go, hey, Hermes, here's everything I need you to do.
110
Put in the Kanban board.
111
You go get your human work done.
112
And by the time you're done with that,
113
Hermes took care of all the work it can do.
114
This is like having the employee.
115
This is what you do.
116
The Kanban board is excellent.
117
Use it.
118
If you made it through these first two use cases so far,
119
then you know how powerful AI agents are.
120
And you know you have to be using them daily.
121
But once you start, the question always becomes,
122
what can I automate and what tools should I use for it?
123
The good news is my friends and former employer HubSpot have partnered with the channel
124
and have built this entirely free AI agents cheat sheet.
125
This guide is sick.
126
It covers a ton.
127
It covers seven different AI agent tools,
128
how to set them up,
129
costs, the best use cases for each.
130
This makes it so you know exactly what you're getting into before you start using these AI agents.
131
My personal favorite part of the guide is the starter prompts here.
132
You can just copy and paste these prompts into each agent it talks about,
133
and you're immediately getting value out of them.
134
And even if you're brand new to AI agents,
135
there is so much to learn in this guide.
136
It's completely free, no strings attached.
137
So if you want the guide,
138
check out the link down below.
139
And thanks to HubSpot for supporting the channel.
140
Now back to the Hermes use cases.
141
The next use case I love to do is full technical research and breakdowns of competing apps.
142
So if you're a builder and you're vibe coding an app,
143
you probably have other apps in your space with you
144
And you want to go see how they work so that you can include anything that's interesting in your own app.
145
One thing I do all the time is I will have Hermes go out
146
and do complete technical breakdowns by going onto their site,
147
clicking around, looking at the console and seeing how that app works.
148
So say I want to do a complete research and technical breakdown in my app, Creator Buddy.
149
Maybe I'm building a competing app to it.
150
What I would do is I'd go in and I'd say,
151
open a browser and go to creatorbuddy.io.
152
Do a full research and technical breakdown of the site.
153
What stack does it use?
154
How does it work?
155
Which features does it have?
156
What can we emulate?
157
I hit enter on that.
158
What GPT means is about to do is it's going to pop open a browser
159
and actually start doing the research for me.
160
Because Hermes can control your computer,
161
control browsers, it's going to go off while I'm doing work
162
and do full breakdowns and research in its own browser while I'm doing my own thing.
163
This is massive to do
164
if you are building any sort of app you want to
165
figure out who your competitors are who else is in this space
166
and then have your hermes agent go
167
and do research on those competitors pop them open in a browser click around see what their tech is
168
and build you a full research breakdown
169
which you then can feed to your other agents who are building your app
170
and include a lot of things they're doing well inside your own app
171
so let's see what it's doing here
172
so as you can see here it has its own browser
173
it's navigating to creator buddy it's looking at the console it's
174
getting the images on the site it's opening the terminal it's
175
creating tasks for itself then it's asking for permission to search through
176
and find all the different tools and libraries in it
177
so we're going to say go right ahead by the way as it's doing
178
that my other hermization still going still building out
179
that game we gave i hope it has something interesting by the end of this
180
and look at this it built the entire report out gave
181
it a high level overview exactly all the tech behind it
182
which is all accurate it has the payments how much everything
183
costs it has all the analytics the the events the analytics are collecting this is amazing
184
if we were to go say hey put this in a markdown file then we take
185
that markdown file with hands a claude code
186
or codex it can build out everything creator buddy is doing
187
well you can quickly emulate any other app out there
188
so this is really really powerful for research the next use
189
case i want to talk about is an awesome one
190
that everyone should be doing and
191
that is creating your own memory wiki this is a website you can go to
192
that has all your memories on it all your daily logs on it
193
so you can go back go through every conversation you've had
194
what you've talked about what you've done in the past
195
and basically just have a hub for everything you've done with your agent this is mine right here
196
and i'll show you how to set it up in a second but basically you can go in,
197
see a whole bunch of topics you've talked about in the past,
198
see each and every one of your daily logs and what you've worked on every single day.
199
And it's basically like an automated diary.
200
It tracks everything I've talked about, everything I've done.
201
So if I ever think,
202
oh, what did I do with my Hermes agent when it comes to this subject,
203
what I've done here before,
204
it all goes in here.
205
And what's amazing is this reinforces your memory system.
206
If you have your Hermes agent maintain this memory wiki it can go back
207
and look at these daily logs itself
208
so it's great for you to remember what you've worked on the past almost like a diary
209
and it's great as memory reinforcement for hermes how do you
210
set it up super super simple just use this prompt i'll put this down below
211
so feel free to copy
212
and paste it i want to build a memory wiki this should be a site i can visit
213
that has a list of all the subjects we've talked about
214
and the daily logs of what we've done together i should be able to click on any of the subjects
215
or daily logs and get more details on the conversations we've had
216
and the work we've done you put it in your hermes
217
agent will build the site it'll build the entire memory wiki
218
and now you'll have an entire place to view all the work you've ever done
219
chats you've had things you've talked about with your hermes agent
220
and it's going to reinforce the memory too
221
which is awesome this next use case is a great one
222
i use this whenever i'm out on the go whenever I'm on different devices,
223
and that is a general computer administrator.
224
What does that mean?
225
This is really, really helpful.
226
If you have multiple devices,
227
maybe you have a computer,
228
an iPad, a laptop, your iPhone,
229
as long as you have at least a computer and a cell phone,
230
you should be doing this.
231
What you wanna do is install TailScale on all your devices.
232
This isn't sponsored.
233
TailScale is completely free.
234
You install it on all your devices,
235
and what it does is it creates a private network for all your devices.
236
which will allow you to have your Hermes agent go in and do work across every device you have.
237
Why would you want to do that?
238
Many reasons.
239
Say you're on the go,
240
maybe you're on a business trip and you have a document that's on your computer
241
and you forgot to put it on your laptop or on your phone.
242
You can just go on your phone go to hermes
243
and say hey get the document off of the computer
244
and drop it in this chat so i can download it on my phone
245
or maybe you have a couple different computers you want to run a local llm on one
246
but use it on another you can do
247
that you can say hey hermes go install a local llm on on my Mac Studio
248
and then set up a web app on my MacBook Pro.
249
It basically allows your Hermes agent to use and leverage every single device you have.
250
This is also really cool if you're a builder.
251
So say you vibe code something on your laptop,
252
but you wanna test it on your iPhone or on your desktop computer,
253
you'll be able to do that.
254
You'll be able to access everything on local host, on other computers.
255
Typically local host is obviously just for the local devices,
256
But if you have a tail scale network connecting everything together,
257
you can have your Hermes agent go,
258
go on the other computer,
259
test it on their local host, do everything there.
260
It's really, really helpful.
261
It basically gives Hermes agent superpowers.
262
So this is an amazing use case
263
because it basically makes every device into one huge network you can access from anywhere in the world.
264
It's super, it's honestly probably the number one use case I use Hermes for.
265
So general computer administrator, basically the CEO of all your devices is what it turns Hermes into.
266
Make sure to do that and get that set up.
267
And the last use case I want to go through with you basically makes it so your Hermes can self-improve every day,
268
learn a little bit more about you and do better work.
269
And that is your morning priority prompts.
270
Basically, the way this works is your Hermes agent will come in
271
and every morning proactively message you and ask you what your number one priority is that day.
272
This happens for me every single morning at 9 a.m.
273
And what happens is when I answer that question,
274
it learns a little bit more about who I am,
275
what I'm trying to do that day,
276
and improves its memory on me.
277
So the first thing it'll do is come up with tasks that it can do to help that priority.
278
The second thing it'll do is just learn more about who I am and what I'm working on.
279
This allows it to be a lot more custom for you and constantly learn who you are.
280
So what you wanna do is this.
281
You're going to use this prompt to put down below as well.
282
Every morning at 9 a.m.,
283
ask me what my number one priority is for that day.
284
Then come up with tasks you can do to help me with that priority.
285
Then update your memories about me accordingly.
286
The better the context your agent has about you,
287
the better work it can recommend,
288
the better work you can do,
289
and the more custom it can be for you.
290
So you want to run this prompt and you want to make sure you answer this question every single morning.
291
The more you do this,
292
the more your agent will self-improve and be custom for you.
293
So this is really, really important to do.
294
With that being said, it looks like our game is done.
295
Let's go in here and see what this game's all about.
296
All right, so I'm in the game.
297
It's dark, so it is like Splinter Cell.
298
I'm shooting the enemy.
299
Okay, I kill an enemy.
300
I can loot their body.
301
All right, so I have ammo on them.
302
They have a bandage.
303
Let's take the bandage.
304
Let's take the ammo.
305
Oh, we'll take all.
306
All right, we got that.
307
Let's close out.
308
So there is loot.
309
Now we're going all right.
310
So it looks like oh,
311
oh, they see me through the wall There's a wall here.
312
So it is very stealth like and I'm dead So there is the bones to a game here, right?
313
There's pretty good bones.
314
You can loot people You can kill people you can pick stuff up.
315
That's pretty cool.
316
We got loot value.
317
That's pretty cool Is it the best game ever?
318
No, but now I can give it a goal
319
and have a go improve things I can say hey use the chat gbt image gen model
320
and make assets for the game didn't turn out half bad I hope this was helpful.
321
If you learned anything at all,
322
leave a like down below.
323
Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
324
It truly means the world you would watch these videos and learn from me and care about anything I'm saying at all.
325
Thank you, thank you, thank you for watching.
326
I will see you in the next video.
