It is officially fall, not in the weather, but in my heart.

It is September, football is back, seasonal ice drinks are back at coffee shops, and I am so back as a matter of fact.

This is my Super Bowl, this is my season, it's cozy season, and we are kicking it off strong today.

My first order of business and what really gets me so excited for a new season is doing some decor shopping.

I really don't have that much in the way of fall decor as it stands, and I decided this year I had a vision and I was going to execute it.

I want my apartment to be cozy and warm

and have all the beautiful fall colors

so i hit my big three started at home goods then i went to world market

which is a sneaky good place they don't have them all over the place like they do home goods

but i'm very grateful to live near a world market

because they have some really good holiday decorations one of my

favorite places to go to get seasonal decor i really experienced

my dream solo date here i got a seasonal iced latte

from a local coffee shop i browsed around world market made

a bunch of cute cozy purchases fully immersed myself in the fall vibes got

so excited to go home

and decorate with everything i got then of course i had to go to trader joe's this is specifically

so that i could make some fall specialty coffees

because i want to try all of their fall butters

and whatever and turn them all into coffees

which is what i am doing right now

so let's make a trader joe's maple butter latte and get this fall vlog started

and i've done nothing cool what's up you guys it's hannah welcome back to my channel

and welcome to a very exciting vlog let me set the

scene for you okay it is september labor day has come

and gone i just saw practical magic 2 in theaters it may be 100 degrees outside

but it is 70 in my apartment so what does all of

that mean it's fall it's time for fall fall is here

it's upon me it is in my veins i am ready

the fall decor is out it has been purchased it is

ready to go up it is my time this is where

i really start to defrost fall is my season i love cozy season i don't love it

when like we fall back and do daylight savings and all

that like that's not not looking forward to that at all

but i'm just gonna ignore that right now because

that is not what i'm gonna ruin my vibes

and i have good vibes right now

if i sound a little nasally it is

because i am a little bit under the weather

so i am having a cozy weekend in

and i decided i wanted to start decorating my apartment for

fall i did get a few new things i got this giant very heavy bin down

because the label that i wrote on it says fall

and christmas it is looking like mainly christmas i just know

that i don't have that much in the way of decorations for specifically fall

and i'm going for more of like an autumnal vibe not necessarily a halloween spooky

vibe but i like the the autumn colors and like leaves

and pumpkins and cozy and stuff like that

so i'm gonna go through this bin and see what i've got in here

because that is a mystery to us all

but i did acquire some new things i already realized

that i meant to get bathroom hand towels instead of kitchen towels at home goods

and i did pick up these kitchen towels which are pretty

but i might actually go back to home goods and return these

and get actual bathroom towels because

that is what i needed you know we all make mistakes

but these are beautiful like i really love these colors

and these are the colors

that i feel like i'm really going for for my fall decor

but i will be keeping

that i found a couple other things i found this pretty

little like fake flower arrangement in this little vase pretty fall

colors i could just use more little things like this

so i'm gonna find a place in my apartment to put

that i love garland and i'm really excited about this one again these are the colors

that i'm going for beautiful gorgeous the yellows the oranges the purple it's everything i'm obsessed

and then i have another garland that has i believe like pumpkins

and ghosts on it or something and i think i'm gonna do

that one in the bathroom love the beaded texture this would eat for asmr oh that's good

that is good and then naturally i could not go to HomeGoods in the fall

and not get a candle because that would just have been an illegal activity.

So I found this one, midnight apple.

I don't really have anything apple scented like this.

So I thought it smelled really nice.

like it's appley and cinnamony but it's not overwhelming

and that's what i liked about it also this label is really pretty

and again it's not just my color scheme those are the things

that i got from home goods as i mentioned i went

to world market they have everything i love it i'm so excited

so let's start off with the obvious again more candles right

i know what you may be thinking hey are you okay

maybe burn the ones you already have we'll get there

and i will i will but these were three for 12

and they're cute little mini ones

so i can place them in different parts of my apartment

and not have to burn them for a million years to use them up so i got the three

fall scents that i saw naturally a pumpkin spice one

because this one is cider and clove and then we have whiskey

and white oak okay i saw this and i just thought

that this was really cute it is a mug

but it's in the shape of a pumpkin it's

so cute this is around the time that i start enjoying teas again before bed.

Tea is good before bed all the time, but I feel like I just gravitate towards it more in the cozy season.

I honestly, judging by the state of my voice right now, could use probably some immunity tea tonight.

So maybe I will wash this up and make some tea in this.

Next thing I got, this was a last minute addition, but I thought that I could put this maybe in the kitchen.

that i started last fall that's witchy it's called the x hex but i am

currently reading Nocticadia by Carrie Lake which is a dark academia book and it is so good.

I started it last year and then I got not quite halfway and I put it down for some reason.

I guess I just wasn't in the mood.

that I started being like feeling super restless and wasn't able to focus

so maybe I just wasn't in a reading mood at that time of last year.

For fall I think that I gravitate towards fantasy dark academia romance

so than usual one of my lights in my kitchen is

that i found on instagram it is a chicken tortilla soup i just went ahead

and i prepped the things i think i needed to prep

i cut up a whole yellow onion i diced it said

three to five cloves of garlic i think i probably was about four months it was all said

and done and i disassembled my rotisserie chicken the recipe called for just like raw chicken breasts

that would then be boiled in the pot

but i don't trust myself to thoroughly cook chicken be a boiling like it's probably fine

and it probably would work but just knowing me i would

that up somehow i already do not mess with raw meat especially raw chicken

so I decided to be on the safe side

and get a pre -cooked chicken let me grab my pot

I'm pretty sure my first step is to saute the onion and for

that I need some olive oil I'm catching up on some

YouTube vlogs I feel like I haven't really watched YouTube a ton lately just I haven't really had time

so I have a lot of vlogs to catch up on from my favorite creators

and I love this this is one of my favorite parts

about cooking is getting to enjoy some fun form of entertainment

while cooking because i am the world's slowest chef notoriously

so i have lots of time to kill i also have

some chicken bone broth anytime a recipe calls for broth of any kind i will always get bone broth

because it adds extra protein and it tastes the same to me i got

that and then i got crushed tomatoes they are the fire roasted ones two cans of black beans

and then i have a package of frozen corn it was supposed to be fire roasted as well

but they were oddly out of almost all corn they only had like regular yellow sweet corn

so i'm just gonna go with

that i might add a couple like red pepper flakes in there weren't measurements for any of the spices
