Welcome to my channel, let's practice your listening skill.
2
With video level A1, and the topic is learning English.
3
Now listen carefully.
4
Tom, I'm so tired of learning English.
5
Why?
6
What happened?
7
It's just so hard.
8
Everyone says, listen more, and your English will get better.
9
Yeah, that's true.
10
No, it's not.
11
I listen every day, but my listening is still terrible.
12
Maybe you fall asleep while listening.
13
No, I really listen.
14
I watch videos, podcasts, songs, everything.
15
But I still don't understand.
16
Don't worry.
17
It takes time.
18
Time?
19
I've been listening for six months.
20
My ears are tired.
21
My brain is tired.
22
Okay, okay.
23
Calm down, Anna.
24
I can't.
25
Every time I think I'm better, I meet a foreigner and boom, I understand nothing.
26
That's normal.
27
English people speak too fast.
28
It's like they eat all the words.
29
True.
30
But you know what's harder for me?
31
Vocabulary.
32
Ugh, don't even start.
33
Vocabulary is a nightmare.
34
Every day I learn 10 new words.
35
The next day I forget 9 of them.
36
Exactly.
37
It's like my brain has a delete button.
38
And there are too many forms.
39
Present, past, future, irregular verbs.
40
I want to cry.
41
Don't forget word types.
42
Nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs.
43
They never end.
44
Yeah, I see a new word and I'm like, please, no more.
45
Same.
46
I open my book, see a new grammar rule, and just close it again.
47
That's me every night before bed.
48
I will study tomorrow.
49
Tomorrow never comes, Tom.
50
You sound like a sad love song.
51
Because English broke my heart.
52
So dramatic.
53
I'm serious.
54
My brain is full of English, but empty in life.
55
Come on, Anna.
56
English is hard, but we're getting better.
57
Are we, though?
58
I still can't spell environment without crying.
59
Same.
60
I just say nature stuff.
61
Haha.
62
Good idea.
63
Maybe we should stop studying and just move to England.
64
Yeah, and die from confusion on day one.
65
Okay, maybe not.
66
But seriously, Tom, how do you keep going?
67
Easy.
68
I think about my goal, watching movies with no subtitles.
69
That's a good goal.
70
What's yours?
71
To talk to foreigners without saying, sorry, can you repeat every two seconds?
72
Great dream.
73
Let's not give up then.
74
Fine.
75
But if I fail, you're studying with me forever.
76
Deal.
77
English partners for life.
78
Partners in pain, you mean.
79
True.
80
Tom, I'm so tired of learning English.
