1
How's it going everyone?
2
This video is going to be a basic introduction into my fractal model.
3
However, the main focus of this video is going to be going over my indicator
4
and its settings and how it is used.
5
So let's hop into the first example here to explain the fractal model and then how the indicator would plot it.
6
So my fractal model relies on the foundational understanding that the market cannot reverse without a swing point.
7
So you can see here the market has formed a swing point to reverse
8
or go from bearish to bullish and
9
if we are going to reverse from bullish to bearish we are also going to form a swing point.
10
Now what do I use to determine if the market is likely to reverse?
11
I will use candle closures.
12
So you can see here price has swept out its previous candles high and then closed back inside the range.
13
So if you've seen my daily bias video, you know that I would be bearish or looking for previous day low.
14
So with that understanding that I'd be looking for a previous day low or a run lower this next day, I'd be looking for an open high low close.
15
Now to confirm this bias, I would go down to the hourly time frame from the daily
16
and look to see if we have a change in the state of delivery.
17
So down here on the hourly chart, do we have a change in the state of delivery confirming the swing point?
18
Well, you can see we have closed through the series of up-close candles that have made this high.
19
So I consider this high protected, and then I will look to trade the open, high, low close in the following candle.
20
So you can see here, as we let this play out, you can see we reach higher, we sweep out a high to the left,
21
and then we get an opposing candle formation here.
22
So I'd anticipate this wick to have formed, and then I can look to trade this lower the rest of the day.
23
So I could either get on side in this next candle here, or in this hourly candle, or wait for a New York session.
24
So you can see here as we approach the New York session, what happens?
25
We sweep out this high to the left.
26
We then close through the down close candle that made that high.
27
So if I wanted to put on a position, I could put on a position on the close of this candle, and I stop on the high, and looking for 2R.
28
Let's see how this works out.
29
So it makes us wait some time, but we do hit RTP on that trade.
30
So just to review the foundational concepts within the fractal model, a higher time frame closure, in this case price swept out its previous day high, and closed back inside the range.
31
We have a change in the state of delivery that confirms that reversal.
32
And then in the following candle, I'm looking to trade the open high, low close, is that is what is determined by my higher time frame bias.
33
So you can see here, this is how I would mark it out.
34
Now to make this more efficient for myself, with the help of two degrees, I have designed my own indicator to mark this out all for me.
35
So let's go ahead and re-walk through this price action, but with my indicator.
36
So you can see on this new candle close, it has identified that it's taken the previous day's high, closed back inside the range, and is also paired with a change in the state of delivery.
37
With this it will mark out projections to give myself targets as well as mark out a T spot
38
Which is an area that I look for higher time frame wicks to be formed
39
So for instance
40
if we are going to trade lower here I would like
41
to see price trade into this gray area Form a high
42
or a higher time frame wick
43
and then trade lower throughout the day As we let this continue out This is
44
when I would then mark up my opposing candle formation
45
And I would like to see this trade lower throughout the day
46
and you can see as we get into the next day here
47
because we have closed bearish I will then look for a continuation in this following candle
48
if we let this play out you can see we do get this continuation lower
49
and then we finally go and take out these lows to our left
50
so you can see that is what my indicator looks like now let's go back
51
and take a look at this New York session setup, where we have swept out this high here.
52
Since my model is fractal, hence the name of the fractal model, I can apply this on multiple time frames.
53
So here we are on the daily and hourly, but let's say I wanted to go in here on the hourly and five minute, I could go ahead and rewind this,
54
drop down to the five minute time frame, and the indicator would auto adjust for that.
55
So you can see we've taken out this high.
56
If I had a bearish bias, I could go ahead and switch this to bearish, and it'll only seek out the bearish setups.
57
And then as I let this continue, here we get this higher time frame candle closure,
58
the five minute setup, and then I'm anticipating the higher time frame wick to form in this area to trade lower.
59
So as we let this play out, you can see we respect that area, and then we get a continuation there to the lows to the left,
60
and to our standard deviation projections.
61
So let's go ahead and go through all my indicator settings.
62
So the first setting is a warning and error messages.
63
Do I want to have that turned on?
64
I personally do, because if I'm not on an automatic time frame, let's say I am on the 1 minute and 15 minute model, and I'm on the 5 minute time frame, I'm going to get an error
65
because the 5 minute is greater than the 1 minute or the lower time frame in that case.
66
So I want to see that time frame, and I can see that I need to go to a 1 minute time frame or below to view it.
67
Now in our general settings, if I want to get alerts when setups form, I'm going to go ahead and have this toggle turned on
68
and follow the instructions to get the alerts that I want to have.
69
Now in terms of history, this is going to show how many previous setups on the chart.
70
So if I only want to see the current setup, I can go ahead and make that a 0, and it would only show the current setup.
71
So for instance, if I let this continue to play out, it would then disappear.
72
If I have that setup to 1, then it would go ahead and show the most recent setup, and I can go all the way up to 40 for those setups.
73
So let's say I go to 15, hit OK.
74
you can see this will show the last 15 bearish setups because I also have my bias to bearish.
75
So let's go ahead and pull back up our settings here.
76
Now C2, C3, and C4 are the higher time frame candle closures.
77
Now I go over all the requirements for these within my course and mentorship, but essentially this means candle 2,
78
candle 3, candle 4, and then specific candle closures with that.
79
So you can see this will show a candle 2 closure.
80
If I don't want to see a candle 2 closure, I can go ahead and turn that off.
81
Then I will only see candle 3 closures with candle 4 continuation.
82
I personally like to have all of these on because I like to view all of them.
83
Now you may notice on the chart there are a few different colors of these C2, C3, and C4.
84
A gray C2 is when the setup has remained valid throughout candle 4.
85
A red C2 is when that setup fails within the first candle, and an orange C2 is when that setup fails but not the first candle after but the second candle after.
86
Now going into my bias, this is where I can select my bias So in the previous example I just showed you, I was bearish going into the New York session
87
So I went ahead and selected it to bearish And you can see how all of the bullish setups will disappear
88
As I have chosen a bearish setup, right?
89
And so that will only show me the bearish setups If I want to see bullish, I can go ahead and select bullish
90
And then it will show me all the bullish setups
91
and not the bearish If I don't have any bias or a neutral bias I can select neutral, and it will show me both bearish and bullish setups.
92
Now the cool thing about this indicator is I can go ahead and adjust my kill zones through the time frame filter.
93
So for instance, you can see all of these different setups here.
94
But let's say I'm only interested in price in the New York session between 8 to 11.30.
95
So I could go ahead and take a look at this, adjust it from 8 to 11.30.
96
And one thing about this, it's going to choose the whole hour's candle.
97
So this means I would have to wait for the 9 a.m closure.
98
So if I want to include the whole 8-hour closure, I'm going to have to choose 7 a.m for this.
99
With that selection, it has removed all of the setups that were not inside the kill zone.
100
Now, if I have multiple different kill zones, I can have up to three.
101
So let's say I want to view London and New York a.m session.
102
I can go ahead and select that, and then I'll get those setups as well.
103
Now, going into a few of the customizable settings, the higher time frame candles or the power three candles on the right side.
104
I have the option to hide those if I don't want to view them.
105
And then I can also change the size of them.
106
So you can see now they are hidden.
107
I will go ahead and bring them back.
108
And you can adjust the size of them between small, medium, and large.
109
Now an offset will offset it from your chart.
110
So currently it has this default offset of this location here where it's going to offset it about that much.
111
Let's say I want more space between my chart and my higher time frame candles.
112
I can go ahead and just adjust this offset to 10 or whatever you select, and that will move these candles to the right.
113
So you can see those candles now have moved to the right and basically doubled the offset there.
114
The body, border, and wick of the candles are pretty self-explanatory.
115
Those will just adjust the colors of the higher time frame candle.
116
Now the higher time frame open, this will mark out the current higher time frame open of the higher time frame candle.
117
So you can see at this 12 a.m hourly candle, it is marking out the open of that.
118
If I wanted to turn that off, I can go ahead and turn that off there, or I can adjust these settings between solid, dashed, and dotted.
119
Now open close time is going to be those vertical lines, which I find very important in my analysis for separating the individual open high low close.
120
So you can see each of these three hours over here are separated vertically here.
121
I can go ahead and turn that off if I do not want to view it.
122
And you can see that is what it looks like with it turned off.
123
Now the low and high lines are going to go ahead
124
and mark out the high and low of each hour on the lower time frame chart.
125
This is not something I personally wish to see, so I go ahead and leave it off for my default settings.
126
Now going into the model style, do you want to show my fractal model labels?
127
That is going to be the C2, C2 failed, C4, all of those labels.
128
So if I want to have those on, I'll have those on and I can choose the size of them
129
or I can go ahead and turn them off if I do not want to view them.
130
Now the candle one sweep is going to mark out
131
that first candle that was swept out from the higher time frame closure.
132
So you can see it will mark out the previous candle's high here as well as on the lower time frame.
133
I personally like to view that.
134
Now here I have the choice for my change in the
135
state of delivery between two options for a bullish change in the state of delivery
136
and bearish change in the state of delivery.
137
I personally keep them the same color
138
but some people do want to see the bearish change in the state of delivery as a different color.
139
So for instance
140
if I wanted a different color on the bearish change in the state of delivery I'm going to adjust
141
that setting and then you can see it will adjust between bearish and bullish.
142
Now for candle equilibrium, that is just going to mark out this higher time frame candles EQ.
143
So you can see it is marked out there as well as on the lower time frames.
144
If you don't want to see that, you can go ahead and turn that off with the toggle and it will disappear.
145
Now for the T spot, this is the area in the higher time frame candles that I look for the higher time frame wick to form.
146
So essentially on my short setup here, I'm expecting price to open, high, go lower, and then close.
147
So I'm anticipating a high to be formed in this box.
148
So those are the settings for that, and you can adjust those boxes how you see fit.
149
By default, they will be gray and green, as that is how I have them.
150
Now going into the projections, these are currently drawn from the bodies, so the series of bodies in the change in the state of delivery.
151
I can go ahead and adjust the manual input on these projections.
152
These are the default settings that will be there.
153
But let's say I wanted to add in something different.
154
Let's say I wanted to add in a negative five.
155
I can just type in a comma and negative five, click out of this, and then the script will go ahead and add in that custom projection.
156
So you can see how we have just added in a new projection there.
157
So if you use different projections than me, you can go ahead and add those in manually.
158
Now with the labels of the projections, you can go ahead and adjust those too, however you see fit.
159
Or you can go ahead and turn them off entirely by clicking this box right here.
160
And you can see the labels will disappear completely.
161
Now one thing I wanted to talk about here is I'm
162
going up to the higher time frame on the hourly
163
and you can see we should have a setup being printed but it is not.
164
Why is that the case?
165
So you can see I still have my time frame filter marked out here which won't show up on the hourly.
166
So I want to go ahead and adjust the choose below period
167
and adjust this to something below the current time frame I want it to show up on.
168
So you can see this time filter will only apply on the 30 minute time frame
169
or below for this given kill zone.
170
So you can see how that now has adjusted to print on the chart.
171
Now the last thing I want to talk about is the formation liquidity.
172
So you can see right here formation liquidity, a dotted line.
173
What is that?
174
Well, given this candle closure here and looking bearish, I want to see price run out previous candles lows or previous days lows.
175
As you can see, this previous days low here has already been taken.
176
However, this previous days low has not been taken, and that gets marked out there by the formation liquidity.
177
Now the last thing we can talk about here is the table.
178
So you can see down here on the right, it'll go ahead and give me the time frame asset, what fractal model I am set to.
179
So you can see, because I have it on automatic, it is currently on the daily and hourly.
180
The time until close, so there's four hours until this higher time frame candle closes.
181
My bias I have selected, so you can see it is currently neutral, but if I adjust that up here, it will show.
182
And then I can also show my time frame filters that I have set.
183
Now all of this is pretty customizable.
184
If you do have stuff that you want added into this indicator, I'm always going to be improving this, so just go ahead and shoot me a message and I will see if it makes sense.
185
But let's go over a couple more things such as overlapping the indicators.
186
So here we are going to go over a few examples
187
of overlapping the higher time frame t-spot with a lower time frame setup.
188
So you can see here we are in this higher time frame t-spot.
189
We have a sweep of these consolidation highs and then we close back inside the previous bar.
190
So looking for price to trade lower here, what I could do is go ahead and copy this indicator by right click,
191
copy, command v, and paste on a second one, move this to the lower time frame.
192
So instead of having it on the daily and hourly, go to automatic, and then I would go down to the five minute time frame.
193
Now down here on the five minute time frame, you can see it's a bit messy because it's overlaying the higher time frame candles with the lower time frame candles.
194
So I'll go ahead and hide these higher time frame candles, and I'll just view the lower time frame candles here.
195
So you can see, I'll go ahead and remove the drawings As we get into this next candle
196
You can see it prints the setup, right?
197
So we have the T spot right here on the 5 minute chart So
198
if I was looking for a setup to trade lower I
199
could either just take an entry here with my stop on an invalidation Or look for a confirmation setup in here
200
And you can see what happens here We start to trade that lower, right?
201
and you can see we did get a bullish setup
202
that printed right here right and that did fail right away as it was opposing the higher time frame one.
203
Now with the closure lower I'd be looking for a continuation out of this area.
204
Now as we let this play out you can see once it closes over this area
205
that I'm looking for a continuation
206
this will turn red because that is not ideal for me to be looking for a continuation lower
207
when it closes over that level.
208
And you can see that closure right there over my level was the early warning
209
that this setup was not likely to continue.
210
So let's go back out to the hourly time frame to see if there's any other setups.
211
So you can see as we get into the next day here, what occurs is we have a candle to closure on the daily chart setting up an hourly setup.
212
So you can see if we zoom in, I'd be wanting to see the higher time frame wick form in this area here, and we have a fair value gap here.
213
So narrowing down this point of interest, I can drop down to the hourly and five minute to see if a setup occurs in this area that is bullish.
214
So you can see, as we let this play out, there was a bearish setup.
215
And you can see, what do we notice?
216
The continuation from this bearish setup has failed.
217
And that is what actually creates the bullish candle to closure.
218
Now in this area, we have the hourly T spot, which I'd want to see hold, and a five minute T spot right here.
219
Now with the closure through these opposing candles here, that would be an order block.
220
I could look to take an entry in here, my stop on this low, and looking for 2R.
221
And as we let this play out, you can see we get a continuation higher.
222
And what else happens?
223
With this closure on this higher time frame, I'd be looking for a continuation in this area here in candle 4.
224
You can see now that we have closed over those down close candles there, I'd anticipate this low to hold if we are going to trade higher.
225
we finally hit that TP there.
226
So you can see
227
that is what I wanted to show was there's a lot of different things
228
that you can do with this indicator in terms of a confluence
229
or overlapping but you can see how this hourly t-spot was then overlapped with the five minute t-spot
230
and if I really wanted to I could go to the lower time frames in there.
231
For our last example here you can see we are on ES on the daily
232
and hourly chart as we let this daily candle close let's see what happens.
233
You can see our daily candle has closed inside the previous day high as shown here and here.
234
We have a candle to closure with a change in the state of delivery.
235
Here are the projections from the reversal.
236
Now if price is going to continue lower, I'd like to see price hold or not close over this t-spot area here.
237
So as we let this continue to play out, you can see as we enter the New York session, we have just consolidated.
238
So with a consolidation, I'd like to see a manipulation before we get expansion.
239
Here you can see we manipulate this side of the range.
240
So where would I like to see price reach for?
241
Well, ideally using the formation liquidity or the previous day's low over here, which is marked out and in line with the projections, I'd like to see price expand to these lows.
242
You can see price then expands to those lows and hits the targets.
243
And that will conclude the video with the introduction to my fractal model as well as showcasing my indicator.
244
If there is anything that I missed within this video in regards to settings or the indicator, feel free to leave a comment in the comment section below and I'll get those answered.
245
But with that, I hope you have a great rest of your day and I'll see you guys next time.

影片中用於描述市場趨勢逆轉的關鍵節點,如「the market has formed a swing point to reverse」(市場形成轉折點並逆轉)。
  • state of delivery:交付狀態。這裡指市場價格的變化趨勢,可結合上下文理解為「價格走勢狀態」。
  • sweep out:突破。常用於描述價格穿過前期高點或低點,如「price has swept out its previous candles high」(價格突破前一根燭線的高點)。
