that a part of your life can matter way more than you thought it did while you were in it.

that's the uncomfortable part because I have spent so much time in my life trying to get to the next thing.

I get through one week and now I'm thinking about the next week.

I'm trying to build something, trying to become something, trying to make life look more like the version I have in my head.

And I don't think that's wrong.

But I do think there's a point where chasing the next

And that's a dangerous way to live because this part does count.

I think that's why things like nostalgia hit so hard, not because the past was better, but because sometimes the past feels familiar in a way that current life just doesn't feel anymore.

It had people who were younger.

And eventually, time does what time does.
