A smarter fridge.
15
Like this.

$14 ,000 for a smart fridge?
17
Unlike you, I now work for a living.
18
I'm not gonna drop that kind of dough on a fridge.
19
I ordered dough already.
20
I buy it for myself.

Then why are you talking to me about it?

To make you feel bad.
23
Because you're fat and poor.

This must be the new fridge.

Ah, there we go.
36
It's bad enough it has to talk.
37
Does it need fake vocal tics, like, uh...
38
Well, it just makes it sound more human.
39
Humans are shit.
40
This thing is addressing problems that don't exist.
41
It's solutionism at its worst.
42
We are dumbing down machines that are inherently superior.
43
Whatever you give your server a human name, you named it Anton.
44
Yeah, but Anton doesn't call me anything.
45
He grimly does his work and he sits motionless till it's time to work again.
46
We could all take a page from his book.
47
Uh -oh, that yogurt is expired.

59
Well, good luck.
60
It's a ten -digit alphanumeric.
61
Ten -digit?
62
Fuck.
63

64

66
Well, maybe you should pull out the bug gun.
67
Because it's the network bug.
68
As in the bug you're supposed to be fixing.
69
If you're programmed to have a good sense of humor, you'd laugh at that.
70
Oh, I'm sorry.
71
I didn't see any good humor ice cream bars.
72
Shall I add them to your shopping list?
73
You know what?
74

101
You attacked and destroyed my refrigerator?
102
And you misspelled my name.
103
I did.
104
I had to overclock Anton, but I was able to brute force the backdoor password to that chrome piece of shit in under 12 hours.

Was du lernst

B. "This thing is addressing problems that don't exist" (Dieses Teil löst Probleme, die gar nicht existieren). Perfekt fürs Englisch sprechen üben mit echten Szenen!

Höre auf diese Klänge

Achte auf verkürzte Formen und Verknüpfungen in der Sprache: "I'm not gonna drop that kind of dough" wird zu "I'm not gon na drop that kinda dough" (mit "gon na" statt "going to" und "kinda" statt "kind of").
