My name is David Swinburne, CEO of Saint-Pare Cigars.
2
Saint-Pare began back in 2016-2017, where a group of individuals had a passion for bringing the best cigars and enjoying them around with friends and family.
3
When we focused on quality of the tobaccos that we're looking for in many of the blends and brands out there, we continued to take those cigars and place them into humidors for aging.
4
Aging them for vintage tobacco, giving that a different tasting notes than you do with a fresh cigar.
5
And that's where we all began of saying, well, what if every cigar was considered vintage?
6
What if every cigar was that first release quality?
7
What if every cigar that we made was that perfect experience and so that passion drove us to create Sampare, a cigar without equal.
8
The inspiration between Sampare is 100% all about quality.
9
Everything that we enjoy in our cigars, everything from the tasting notes to the burn, to the aroma,
10
to the way the cigar lights, to the packaging, everything is focused on Sampare cigars and And that's where we came up with our name, Salon Paré, which is French for without equal, unparalleled.
11
And we take every cigar that we make to that level, making sure that if it isn't something that inspires you to do something more, then it's not part of the portfolio.
12
And that's what drives us every day.
13
Bienvenidos a Tabacalera Palma.
14
My name is Felix Rodriguez.
15
I'm the Distribution Director.
16
Here we are now in the Department of Experimentation and classification of tobacco.
17
This is called pilon.
18
What we need is to stop the tobacco its fermentation from a little bit.
19
Here the tobacco is clearly classified.
20
Here we have the spaliness and the classification of tobacco.
21
As you can see, the operator is taking a third of the tobacco's vein and separates it from different varieties, which is viso seco and ligero.
22
After the sorting and the fermentation, so they pack in beds.
23
Minimum, we age for three years old.
24
But for Samparee, we make a section.
25
So we age for at least five years.
26
You can see all of the identified with the variety, with the some they grow, the kind of seed.
27
So everything is perfectly organized.
28
Here, it has put on the black strips, museum studs and au jus
29
And they are cut off, and ا Attie гдеある And the black strips come out ofication
30
So what we do here is to remove the leaves so that it is easier when they reach the hand of the tabaquer.
31
Here we have the spalier and classification of the cap.
32
As you can see, the spalier is made by hand, a more gruesome and separates from different sizes.
33
Here we are in the area of spalier, classification and rezagging of the cap.
34
As you can see, the handle is made on the machine because it is more efficient and it is more careful.
35
Yes, so even through all of the manual processes we do use some mechanics.
36
Yes.
37
Very limited.
38
Very limited.
39
You saw many, many girls, right?
40
Yes.
41
On the factory.
42
70% of the employees of the factory are women.
43
Why?
44
The women have more careful hands so they can take more care about the tobacco and something that they identify more colors than men.
45
Yes, and very, very important for our factory.
46
Yes.
47
Here we come to where the magic is made.
48
This is the gallery.
49
It's the heart of the factory.
50
It's where the artists make cigarettes.
51
As you can see, they work in a pair.
52
One that makes the knife and the other that puts the cap on the edge.
53
This is an egg room.
54
So we have, the egg room is divided by two steps.
55
The first ones of the production came every day here.
56
So we firmigate every week.
57
So after the firmigation, so we moved to the big one.
58
So the cigar here stayed for minimum three months.
59
But there are some specific brands that we carry here for more than one year.
60
Here we can see all the Saint-Pareil cigars that are all together organized.
61
Familiar, Dave?
62
The beautiful Super Lanceros.
63
Super Lanceros, right.
64
This is the package area.
65
The cigars are already well-allegated.
66
They go here, where they work by modules.
67
My name is Rolando Peña, I am going to show you how to make a cigar of high quality.
68
I am a supervisor, producer, producer and coordinator general.
69
This is the first step, which is the empuyer.
70
We make a mixture of tobacco.
71
We pass to the enrolado.
72
We cut.
73
We take the mold to the figure.
74
We take the prensa for a few minutes.
75
We give a little bit of a turn and it's ready for the last part, which is where we put the cap to finish.
76
Didn't track this one, it would double chance the time later.
77
ths cutting another backcountry effect and cutting is any mainly.
78
When we were thinking about cigars, there are many, many names for cigars in the industry.
79
We loved beauty and simplicity, right?
80
When we think of a cigar, it might not remember the name, but we'll always remember the simplicity of, I love the aroma of the purple.
81
I love the aroma of the red or the tasting notes of the blue with the Criollo 98.
82
Keeping that simplicity in place allows us all to enjoy the experience of the cigar and even have those mental notes that correlate with them.
83
Purple is one of those perfect evening cigars.
84
The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Sumatra with the binder and filler being Dominican Elite Selection Tobacco.
85
We are so blessed to have Hochi Blanco select some of the best tobacco from the yields of his farms in order for us to use them into our cigars.
86
Rem Blend is an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper with once again our aged Dominican binder and filler elite selection.
87
The blue is our Dominican Puro.
88
The number one we have that is all Dominican tobacco that Hochi specifically wanted to blend that allowed us to showcase what Dominican tobacco is all about.
89
The wrapper is a Criollo 98 with the binder and filler also being Dominican.
90
So the green is one of our newest lines, which we introduced at PCA in 2024.
91
for.
92
This is a Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with Dominican binder and filler and it is something on the lighter side but also has much tasting notes.
93
So the gold line and specifically the Super Lancero is the first cigar that we decided to make and the only individual that we could find that would make this cigar for us was Jochiblanco.
94
He was up to the challenge.
95
With this cigar there so many challenges in place with all Lanceros but this one specifically at 40 ring gauge and 13 and a half inches was definitely a difficult task but something that we were all up for making.
96
This is a Maduro wrapper aged over 10 years with every one of our cigars.
97
I look forward to having you try it as well.
98
It's a very exciting time for us at Salon Paré.
99
We're finally in a position after so much time of planning, making sure we have the right tobacco aged, where now we can take these cigars to new markets.
100
The latest is the Middle East, outside of the U.S.
101
And we'll continue to expand in the U.S.
102
to certain retailers that have the clientele and the discerning few that want to enjoy the aged vintage tobacco taste that Salon Paré provides.
