The Press Secretary of the Office of the Constitution The Press Secretary of the Constitution
3
The Press Secretary of the Constitution Madame President, Ladies and Gentlemen
4
The motion before us tonight is not actually about Reform UK
5
and Nigel Farage It is actually about Britain and it is about what the political class in this country
6
lined up before us over here have done to this country over the last 30 years.
7
Time and time again we are told and we've heard it tonight
8
that Reform UK is not possibly fit to govern because we don't have the experience,
9
we're not competent, we're rabble-rousers and pirates and swashbuckling drinkers, all of that is true.
10
But we we are not a serious political party.
11
That is what we have heard so far this evening.
12
But if all of those things are needed to govern this country effectively, then what on earth has been happening for the last 30 years?
13
Just look at the people who are in front of me tonight.
14
The Lib Dems, led by Ed Davey, a man that projects apparent seriousness.
15
The SNP that wants independence so that it can shackle Scotland to the European Union,
16
which is not a democratic organisation.
17
The Greens, the Greens who talk about people being divisive,
18
who have just mainstreamed in this country a virulent anti-Semitism
19
and an Islamism and a misogyny that would treat women and girls in this country like second-class citizens.
20
And the Tories, and the Tories, the traditional custodians of this country,
21
who were so committed to this country
22
that under Boris Johnson they even removed the requirement for companies
23
in this country to advertise jobs in Britain before advertising them overseas.
24
They are not conservatives, they are globalists and there is a difference between those two things.
25
Many of the people who talk about experience and competence went to the best universities in the world like this one.
26
Seven of the last ten prime ministers that we had in this country studied at Oxford.
27
Many of them probably sat in this room.
28
But all of them have presided over a political consensus that has given us zero economic growth,
29
declining productivity, ensuring youth unemployment which everyone in this room will soon encounter.
30
Collapsing public services.
31
Not enough prisons.
32
Two-tier policing.
33
Broken borders.
34
If I make an argument and then someone says, oh, here's a critique there, and I say, oh, your argument is rubbish as well, does that mean that my argument has suddenly given you to make this?
35
Let me come to your point.
36
Broken borders.
37
Broken borders.
38
The highest industrial electricity prices in the Western world.
39
The highest tax burden in this country in peacetime, the mainstreaming of anti-white racism,
40
sectarianism, the grooming gangs, which were left unchecked in this country for 50 years.
41
Their legacy is reflected in collapsing public confidence and trust in politics.
42
They have weakened our democracy.
43
Did you not allege that family voting and election forms happened at the Gorton and Denton by election?
44
It was then not proved by the election.
45
That is factually incorrect.
46
An independent report by democracy volunteers on the night of the election, supported by the Electoral Commission,
47
found that in 68% of all polling stations in Gorton and Denton, there was illegal family voting.
48
And I would point, sir, to the fact that Greater Manchester Police have just arrested activists in Gorton and Denton for electoral fraud.
49
There is only one political party in this country that is serious about sectarianism and tackling it, and that is Reform UK.
50
If experience is the thing that you're looking for, then I would suggest to you that the experience we have in Westminster is destroying our country.
51
I would argue is that Reform UK is the only political party
52
that understands the importance of two things that make a political party fit to govern, both of which are currently missing in Westminster.
53
The first is national preference,
54
the idea going back to ancient Rome that nation states will not survive if they do not prioritise their own law-abiding,
55
tax-paying, hard-working citizens.
56
Not international organisations, not supranational institutions, institutions, not unelected, unaccountable public bodies,
57
lawyers, courts, foreign activists, Davos, the World Economic Forum, their own people.
58
We hear tonight a lot about Reform UK being divisive.
59
Let me be absolutely clear, there is nothing more divisive than treating your own people like second-class citizens.
60
There is nothing more divisive than allowing the industrial scale sexual assault and rape of young women in this country for 30,
61
40 years and then turning a blind eye because it's too difficult to consider that issue.
62
It's politically unfashionable.
63
Isn't it strange when you attack other political parties, which are membership organisations which we can all influence.
64
And yet the reality is reform is the only one
65
which is not a normal political party it's a private company controlled by Nigel Farage.
66
This firstly has absolutely nothing to do with what I've just said.
67
We have more than 200,000 grassroots members who will be meeting at our conference in September
68
and I look forward to the SNP conference in the autumn,
69
but I'm sure they'll have lots of questions about the lack of democracy within the SNP and the embezzlement of party funds.
70
But let me move on.
71
What is divisive in this country is not Reform UK.
72
What is divisive is what we saw on the streets of Belfast.
73
What is divisive is the treatment of Henry Novak.
74
What is divisive is the mainstreaming of anti-white racism in our schools, our universities and our police force.
75
And what is divisive is waking up week after week,
76
day after day, reading stories about how our own people are being treated like second-class citizens.
77
Reform UK is a symptom of the fact that the British people have had enough of being treated like second-class citizens.
78
We have a serious policy programme.
79
We will end all non-essential migration.
80
We will end low-wage, low-skill migration that has been shown by the Office for Budget Responsibility to be a net fiscal cost.
81
We will leave the European Convention on Human Rights so we can control our laws and our borders.
82
We will end welfare benefits for people who are not British.
83
We will end social housing subsidies for people who are not British.
84
How is it right in this country that we have 1.3 million families on the social housing register,
85
3,300 military veterans waiting for our house
86
and the First Lady of Sierra Leone who lives in a
87
presidential mansion in Freetown is renting out a council flat in Southwark.
88
How is it right that these governments allowed senior lieutenants in Hamas to have council flats in our country?
89
It is an absolute disgrace.
90
The President of the House of Representatives The President of the House of Representatives That is,
91
I'm afraid that's incorrect.
92
We have a principle, read the Reform Party manifesto.
93
We have a principle of national preference in housing, sir, which means if you're from this country, if you contribute to this country,
94
if your ancestors built this country, you will be prioritised.
95
You laugh while mainstreaming Islamist sectarianism in this country.
96
You laugh while mainstreaming people who hate our country.
97
You laugh while allowing misogyny and terrorist sympathisers in our country.
98
It is an absolute disgrace.
99
We will prioritise British people in the housing market.
100
And we hear much about the family of Henry Novak.
101
We hear much about what they asked for.
102
We've heard nothing about what the family of Rhiannon White has asked for.
103
Siobhan White, who was asked to meet with the Prime Minister, has asked to meet with Kemi Badenoch.
104
What does Siobhan White want after her daughter was stabbed in the head 19 times by an illegal migrant from Sudan?
105
What has Siobhan asked for?
106
An end to broken borders.
107
She's asked for control at the borders.
108
She's asked for British people, British women, British girls to be protected.
109
I have not heard a single politician in Westminster mention Rhiannon White.
110
I've not heard them mention Thomas Roberts, Wayne Broadhurst, Terence Carney, Lucy Lowe, Victoria Ogoglia, Charlene Downs.
111
I could go on and on and on because if you are part of the hard-working,
112
law-abiding British majority, you simply are not treated with the same degree of respect and decency as other people.
113
It's a very sweet question.
114
This has come up with a hurry, Mr. Dane.
115
It's our people, British people, all of these examples.
116
Can you just define what you mean by that?
117
UK nationals.
118
UK nationals.
119
Somebody like Rhiannon White who was murdered by an illegal migrant from Sudan who should not have been in this country.
120
Somebody like the man we saw lying on the street in Belfast who has had life-changing injuries
121
because of an illegal migrant from Sudan.
122
Reform UK's policy on indefinite leave to remain is clear.
123
We will abolish indefinite leave to remain.
124
We will allow people to come to Britain, but they must speak our English language to a high standard.
125
They must make a strong economic contribution to this country.
126
They must have a clean criminal record.
127
These are the foundations of a functioning nation-state.
128
And I would say to you if you're on the left of politics, if you do not have those things,
129
how on earth do you expect people to support the welfare state over the longer term?
130
Nobody in this country will support the welfare state.
131
Nobody in this country will support the social contract if their money,
132
their tax paying money is going to people who they do not know and who are destroying their country.
133
What we need in Britain is a new consensus.
134
Reform UK is the only party that actually has the courage to stand up
135
and point out the glaring failures in the existing system.
136
So I would urge you, respecting the time in the debate, to support the motion.
137
Reform UK is fit to govern because if we don't govern then goodness knows where Britain will end up.
138
Thank you very much.

Grammatik & Ausdrücke im Kontext

Beachte diese praktischen Strukturen, die der Redner oft nutzt:

  • "Time and time again we are told...": Die Wiederholung "time and time again" betont Häufigkeit – perfekt, um sich wiederholende Situationen zu beschreiben. Übe es: "Time and time again I forget my keys."
  • "If all of those things are needed... then what on earth has been happening...": Ein konditionaler Satz mit "what on earth" für Überraschung. Nutze es, um Fragen zu betonen: "If he knows the truth... then what on earth is he waiting for?"
  • "Their legacy is reflected in...": "Reflected in" beschreibt, wie etwas sichtbar wird. Beispiel: "His hard work is reflected in his good grades."
