1
What's up, everyone?
2
All right, in today's episode, I'm going to walk you through some of the biggest gainers in the market today.
3
As of right now, we've got a stock up over 190%.
4
So we did have some momentum this morning and into the afternoon, which means things are starting to warm up.
5
That's a great way to finish the week.
6
It is not, to be honest, what I was expecting.
7
Typically, Fridays are kind of a miss, especially if it's already been a cold week, because if it's been a cold week,
8
companies probably aren't going to put out any good news on a Friday.
9
If anything, they're putting out bad news.
10
A lot of these companies through probably their underwriting banks and PR people,
11
they've got a good feel for what's going on in the market and whether it's a time to,
12
you know, kind of pepper some good headlines out to kind of fan the flames
13
or if it's just not happening and it's time to wait
14
and hold back on those headlines for when things are a little bit stronger.
15
So today we did end up having a couple of big moves right now.
16
AIOK, as you can see here, is our leading gapper up just under 200%.
17
I'm on the hourly chart right now.
18
Switch to the five -minute chart so you can see this a little bit better.
19
So this is one of those stocks that was not in play during the pre -market session at all.
20
All of a sudden, after the opening bell, it squeezes into a halt on very light volume, about 273 ,000 shares total volume.
21
It resumes, it dips down, then it curls back up right here.
22
And once again, we get a halt up.
23
So of course, during regular trading hours, we have the halts, which are much more frequent.
24
So that does slow down the momentum a little bit, but we then get a resumption, a squeeze higher, another halt,
25
and then a drop back down here this was a halt down, then a resumption higher from the halt down.
26
So typically, when a stock halts down, we typically expect that it resumes lower.
27
And when a stock halts up, we typically expect that it resumes higher.
28
So right here was a halt going up and the resumption was right here.
29
We then dipped and ripped, halted, resumed right here, a little higher.
30
Then we squeezed up to this halt, and then we resumed flat.
31
That's a little bearish.
32
We then dropped to a halt down.
33
We opened lower, halted a second time, opened lower, and then halted up.
34
Then squeezed up, then back down, then back up, then back down, a couple of halts, and then kind of softened here,
35
starting to unwind before rallying back up here for another halt up.
36
So right there, we halted up at about 12 .64 and we resumed at $14 a share.
37
So that's a nice gap on the halt up, but it reversed and then halted down.
38
So you can see how the momentum is interrupted by these halts.
39
When trading stops, all of a sudden you can't get in, you can't get out.
40
And so it kind of scares off some people and it just throws off the flow of the move.
41
In any event, this is a stock that squeezed up, as you can see here, ended up going up at its peak.
42
Let's see.
43
So the peak percentage return on this from yesterday down there up to the high was about 265%, which is not bad at all.
44
So a decent move there.
45
We like seeing that.
46
Second leading gapper, CLRO.
47
Now AIOK has 40 million shares of volume.
48
It's a 1 .1 million share float, 647 times above average volume today.
49
And on the daily chart, you can see blue sky all -time highs.
50
So we like seeing that.
51
This is the highest the price has ever been.
52
So in theory, there really isn't any resistance based on previous price action.
53
It's just at all -time highs, and this is where we can get fairly big squeezes from time to time.
54
Certainly in a hotter market, this could have easily been at $40, $50 a share.
55
Okay, so then second leading gapper is CLRO.
56
This one also squeezed up after the opening bell.
57
Isn't that funny?
58
And so again, because it squeezed after the opening bell, we had the halt levels.
59
So that did slow down the momentum a little bit.
60
And notice how it squeezed up slowly and then high volume rejection.
61
See that high volume red candle?
62
So big rejection and then a rally back up.
63
Halts up right here at about 270.
64
Resumes all the way up here at 320.
65
Dips and rips up to 380, halts again.
66
Then it resumes up here at 440, squeezes up to 460, and then starts to sell off and comes back down.
67
Ends up going sideways here for a little bit before, as you can see, we get another push higher into the afternoon.
68
So CLRO, nice, nice action there.
69
And right now, we are just at 4 p .m., so we're right at the closing bell here.
70
So this is going to give us
71
It's kind of a bit of an outlook of the market for the entire day, not including all of after hours.
72
So CLRO, AIOK, BOLT, B -O -L -T.
73
All right, so this is another low float stock here, float of 1 .6 million shares.
74
As you can see here, basically...
75
no one's paying any attention to it
76
and then all of a sudden um we got this pop here on acquisition news
77
so this headline uh if we pop this up here so let's see let me scroll this down so
78
um the stock in the morning
79
so bolt today announced the acquisition of prana therapies a clinical stage biotech company blah blah blah blah
80
so they have acquired another company, the stock's squeezed up.
81
Acquisitions can be a little hit or miss because when a company is acquired, then that's the same as a buyout, pretty much.
82
The shareholders get a certain value in dollars per share, and sometimes they get some money in the form of the new stock.
83
So it could be a combination of cash and shares in the new company equity.
84
But the company that is doing the buying, doing the acquisition, acquiring, they have to spend money do that acquisition.
85
So the number one is going to be a cost.
86
And then number two, there's a period of transition as two companies merge together of loss of efficiencies ultimately.
87
And so one of the issues is that to finance an acquisition, oftentimes companies will sell more shares.
88
So they might sell $10 million worth of shares to finance a $10 million acquisition.
89
So yes, big picture, they're acquiring another company, but then they're diluting shareholders to make that acquisition possible.
90
That's very common.
91
And then the second, as I already mentioned, the loss of efficiency during the period of sort of the
92
new company coming under their umbrella can cause the stock to actually decline on an acquisition headline.
93
So this is up, as you can see, but it's not been like grinding or, you know, really even accelerating higher.
94
It's just kind of, you know, hanging out up at this level.
95
let's see oh i gotta link this one up
96
so i'm gonna link this window to yellow
97
so i can click on this ai okay was just hitting my running down scanner after
98
that peak to 14 dropping back down here
99
so it wouldn't surprise me to see it potentially curl into after hours um
100
you know 40 million shares of volume is pretty decent
101
but no trades on this one for me i can open up um um the the level two on just
102
so you can see
103
so in fact um today is a no trade day for me as you can see right here um unfortunately
104
this week has been a real um a real unusual week uh for me just with one thing
105
or another um but in any case um so
106
when i look at the level two on this i can
107
see of course uh total volume of the day high 1559 um right
108
now i one of the things i look at is to see if there's any big buyers or big sellers.
109
So I see that, you know, there's a couple sellers at 12, 85 buyer.
110
Right now, one of the challenges with after hours trading is that the volume kind of declines.
111
So, you know, you'll see total volume and then usually after hours, it kind of peters out.
112
It is possible, you know, that you could see if there's any shorts that are in this that they can get squeezed.
113
But you'd think if they were going to, they probably would have gotten squeezed on that candle, but instead they pushed it back down.
114
They pulled it back down.
115
So it seems like it's in the hands of the short sellers right now.
116
So then we had ESLA.
117
This was more of a grinder, all day long, lower priced, up 34%.
118
So not really as exciting to me there.
119
So now if we go back to the scans from earlier this morning, LABT was on our scans,
120
bright and early 4 a .m squeeze and then rolls over ends up being red 35 % on the day.
121
That's crazy.
122
The stock went up 100 % and then from those peaks is down 70%, which is insane, but it's down 35 % versus yesterday's close.
123
That's wild.
124
TANH, Chinese stock yesterday, ended up halting up several times in a row.
125
And at one point on one of the halts up right in here, it showed a resumption of $250 a share.
126
That's crazy.
127
A $250 resumption.
128
But ultimately, the resumption came back down.
129
Topping tails, topping tails, topping tails, and then a sell -off here this morning.
130
Just a little bounce this afternoon.
131
Nothing too exciting.
132
STAK, BKYI, just a couple other tickers that were on the scanners earlier, nothing super exciting.
133
BKYI, we've traded a few times.
134
It's a bit of a grinder.
135
It's right underneath that 200 moving average on the daily chart with high volume on a few of the red candles.
136
So that makes it a little bit trickier.
137
AIXI popped up at 8am, 815, goes from 270 to 360 and then drops back down.
138
So ends up being very choppy.
139
There was some opportunity there, but you had to be quick.
140
CLIK, we've traded this one before, another Hong Kong stock, ends up popping and then down 31 % on the day.
141
So you can see that these pops are being heavily shorted.
142
FGL, down 35 % on the day.
143
HCAI, another Chinese stock, popping up and dropping.
144
So right now, I'm in the mindset of risk off.
145
I'm not taking a lot of risk in my trading.
146
This week, biggest position size, maybe 12 ,000 shares.
147
I'm trading with smaller size.
148
I've 100 % taken my foot off the gas.
149
I took more than $2 million out of my account because I just felt like I don't need it right now.
150
And I'm going to put the money into long -term investments, long -term strategy, whatever.
151
That's fine.
152
But I'm not going to use it for day trading because I don't need that extra buying power.
153
And if anything, that buying power, I know myself.
154
If I have it, I'll use it.
155
And I don't want to use it on a day I'm getting stubborn
156
and frustrated and end up getting completely smoked because in this market, it would take quite a while to recover from a really big loss.
157
So anyway, so I'm definitely, you know, risk off right now.
158
I'm green on the week, thanks to the profits on Tuesday, but it's not saying much.
159
This week was pretty much a wash.
160
But nonetheless, I'm in, you know, I guess, okay shape on the month.
161
I could pull up my metrics in a moment um
162
and i just gotta log in and then i can walk you through them
163
but let's see so anyway
164
so then clro comes up on the scans we knew we were we would have
165
that one because that ended up being up now it's up 100 as you can see right here
166
so a little rally into the um after hour session beginning of after hours
167
so you know retest of that um high would be a spot some people be watching
168
aiok similarly people are i'm sure looking at that retest of
169
that high but it couldn't quite do it
170
so now attention may be switching over to clro which makes sense
171
but clro is um you know it's just a little bit um it's funny
172
because it's a very it's a very low float stock um less than a million share float
173
but you know it's just one of these ones
174
that struggled it's had some high volume red days um the 200 moving average is right up here
175
it just doesn't seem like it's quite strong enough to make
176
that breakout so uh metrics here for the last 60 days last 90 days you can see kind of just, you know, slowing down here.
177
Had a nice stretch and now it's like, blah, not much going on.
178
But that's okay.
179
I'd rather hang out here and wait for that next,
180
you know, kind of hot streak to open up than get too stubborn at least and start, you know, making some big mistakes.
181
So I'm sitting up probably around $50 ,000 right now on the month of October.
182
Let's just confirm that.
183
I've had $45 ,500.
184
And no, it'll be, it'll be actually a little more than that after my profit from this week.
185
But nonetheless, yeah, we've only got one week left in the month.
186
Next week, we'll wrap up October, and then we're going into November.
187
And at this point, I'm thinking that the overall market
188
is going to continue to be a bit choppy until we get through the midterm elections.
189
That's not uncommon, but certainly just based on everything that's kind of gone on here.
190
I think we're going to have to wait another week and a half or so until we can get through the midterms,
191
and then we'll see how things are starting to position.
192
I think what would be really healthy would be a little bit of a pullback in the market.
193
And it wouldn't shock me if we get that on the midterm election, we get a little bit of a pullback,
194
a reset back down towards the 200 moving average, and then rally off that level.
195
I'm conflicted on And I could see an argument either way for the outcome of the midterm elections.
196
I think either way they go, it could be considered good for the market.
197
And either way they go, alternatively, it could be considered bad for the market.
198
You know, obviously what's going on in the Middle East and the tariffs and everything else, the thought that, you know, the power dynamic shifts,
199
that maybe those things would go away and then
200
that would ease inflation and oil prices would come back down and maybe interest rates would come back down.
201
And that could be great for the market.
202
On the other hand, what we know is
203
that many of the big tech companies have been very closely aligned with the current administration.
204
So a change up there could be a little scary.
205
And they've really been driving a lot of the momentum in the market.
206
So anyways, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
207
I don't try to take speculative positions leading into big events like that.
208
I just let things unfold and then see which direction momentum is going and look to jump on.
209
So next week, and even this weekend, for those of you guys that are long -time listeners here on YouTube,
210
you could check out our two -week trial, and you can spend the weekend going through classes that are part of the educational...
211
um the portal that we have here
212
which is where all of our courses are located and
213
so during the two -week trial we give you access to a selection of classes
214
that are part of day trading the basics
215
and then we give you some of the mentor sessions from strategies
216
and scaling so you can begin to get into those as well
217
and this gives you an opportunity to learn the ins
218
and outs of the strategy that i'm trading every single day
219
and kind of get yourself a little bit up to speed going into Monday.
220
So by the time, you know, Monday comes around, you're able to at least hit the ground running a little bit.
221
So I look forward to seeing you guys back here on Monday.
222
I'll be streaming at 7 a .m.
223
Eastern Standard Time for members at Warrior Trading.
224
And I'll remind you as always that, of course, you know what I'm going to say, trading is risky.
225
My results aren't typical and there's no guarantee you'll find success whether you trade with me or you learn on your own.
226
So please manage your risk and practice a simulator before putting real money on the line.
227
I'll see you back at it bright and early Monday morning.
