Shadowing Practice: God says ignore your reality. - Learn English Speaking with Video

1
God literally wants you to ignore your reality.
2
I have been devouring the Bible every single day.
3
This is the first time in my life that I've been reading this thing consistently.
4
It's been about a month now and the wisdom that I have been picking up is absolutely insane.
5
And I just read something recently that I wanted to share with you guys
6
because it is one of the core principles that allowed me to reach this level that I have in my life.
7
And I never realized that it came from the book in the first place.
8
God is explicitly telling us that to ignore our reality.
9
And I'm going to tell you what it says right here in the book.
10
It says, Therefore, we are always confident and know that as long as we are home in the body, we are away from the Lord.
11
For we live by faith, not by sight.
12
Specifically that last part.
13
For we live by faith and not by sight.
14
I know y 'all have heard your grandma say this or your auntie say this.
15
We walk by faith and not by sight.
16
And even though I hadn't read the Bible before, this is a message that I have been preached to, whether through music or movies.
17
It's just something that I had subconsciously heard before.
18
And I've been thinking a lot about what that is supposed to mean.
19
I've seen a lot of people on YouTube making these videos talking about ignoring your reality.
20
I am begging you to ignore your reality.
21
And it's actually a really good way to live your life.
22
I think what the text is trying to say there
23
and the lesson that I take from it is
24
that a lot of times our present circumstances have simply not caught up to the life that we want to live.
25
In that moment, you have two choices.
26
Option number one is you look at your life and you become ashamed.
27
You become sad.
28
You become anxious.
29
You worry.
30
You're unhappy with your present circumstances.
31
and you live your life stuck within the confines of that situation.
32
Option two is that, hey, at this moment, things might not be looking great,
33
but you know that better days are on the horizon for yourself.
34
So you walk by faith and not by sight.
35
You don't let Your present circumstances dictate the way you feel every single day.
36
And I think that that is a big...
37
there's a big distinction between the emotionally successful people and the ones that are not, and I think this is one of the biggest ones.
38
I'll be super transparent with you guys in saying that in the last month and a half, two months, I have been going through one of,
39
like I say, I have been growing through one of the most challenging periods I've ever had as a business owner.
40
I'm coming up on one year of launching my new company.
41
It's an online academy where we help people build their own online stores.
42
This is a passion of mine.
43
If you guys know me from my main channel, you guys know I've been a teacher of
44
commerce for about 10 years now but this is the first time
45
that I ever tried to build a real company around it.
46
And it's freaking hard, bro.
47
It's freaking hard.
48
Not only that, is it expensive.
49
I got a big staff.
50
I pay out almost $100 ,000 a month in payroll to my employees.
51
So when things get shaky and when things get challenging,
52
it can be very easy for me to begin to live a life of fear and anxiety.
53
it.
54
I'm in a position right now with this business in which if we have a slow month, I lose a significant amount of money.
55
And in those times is where you truly get to discover if you're a man.
56
You get to truly discover if you can weather the storm.
57
And before I started reading the word, before I started praying every single day, this is about two months ago, a month and a half ago,
58
this situation was eating me alive.
59
Because I felt like, I know that this thing is going to work.
60
Everything I set my mind to, I accomplish.
61
That's a deal that I have with myself.
62
And even if I don't accomplish it, I learn from the lessons of the failure.
63
I know that it's gonna work, but it's not working right now.
64
and two months ago that was eating me alive that was killing me.
65
I was losing sleep, I was losing weight, I even got sick and I went to the hospital.
66
I haven't gone to the hospital in like six years.
67
Like it was literally making me sick, all this fear, stress and anxiety.
68
Thank you.
69
Then I started to read the Word every day and I found
70
phrases like this I found you know the "do not worry" phrase
71
that I shared with you guys in the last video and I'm like Okay, wait, so as long as I got God on my side, I don't need to worry.
72
As long as I got God on my side, I know that.
73
And by the way, as long as I got God on my side and I'm doing the work, and that's one thing a lot of y 'all be leaving out.
74
But as long as I got God on my side
75
and I'm doing the work and I'm doing right by my team and my customers, I know things are going to work out.
76
So even though today it might not seem like it.
77
Thank you.
78
Thank you.
79
I know that better things are coming.
80
And I'm not going to let what I see with my eyes derail me from believing that.
81
I think that's a tool from the enemy.
82
I really do.
83
I think that...
84
envy, comparison, jealousy, doubt, these are all tools from the enemy to pull us away from God.
85
But as long as I got God, I know that things will be okay.
86
- Okay.
87
Now, I want to talk a little bit about what I just said because Thank you.
88
you can have the faith, but if you don't do the work, nothing will come out of it.
89
So, you know, when I say I walk by faith and not by sight, that doesn't mean I just got my eyes closed and I'm just like sitting here just like,
90
"Alright God, give me a blessing.
91
Come on, rain down on me." I stretch my hands like, know.
92
Like, that's not...
93
Thank you.
94
I don't know where it says it in the Bible.
95
This is just another one of those things that I've been hearing throughout my life.
96
It says faith without works is dead.
97
So if you're not putting in the work, it doesn't matter how faithful you are, you're never going to be able to fully understand.
98
achieve what you want to achieve.
99
Thank you.
100
And the truth is, I really think this is why that is.
101
Because I don't think God will want to reward us for doing absolutely nothing.
102
Like, I follow this man named Myron Golden.
103
He's really a mentor to me.
104
I don't speak to him all the time, but that's like big bro.
105
That's OG.
106
And Myron Golden talks about...
107
how the best act for a human to do is to create because Creation is the language of God.
108
Thank you.
109
And I think that's really beautiful.
110
And I think that's why God rewards those who create.
111
I think that's why God rewards those who go out and do the work and do great at their job,
112
or they build products for the world, or they create content online.
113
the language of creation The language of God is creation.
114
Somebody told me that before and it really stuck with me because I don't know about y 'all, But the way I feel when I'm making my videos, even right now, it's beautiful here in Buenos Aires.
115
I'm watching the sunset.
116
I feel good.
117
I'm going to tell you when I don't feel good, is when I'm looking around, at everybody else's success, comparing it to my current situation,
118
and really living out here.
119
Really just living out there.
120
we got to go within okay we have to know that As long as we build that relationship with him, Thank you things will work out for us.
121
I started this whole video by talking about this concept of ignoring your reality.
122
And to my understanding, this is what God is literally telling us to do.
123
The reality that you're living in today does not dictate the potential of your future.
124
In the beginning of my journey, if you guys saw the place that I started at, it would absolutely shock you how far I've been able to come.
125
I used to live in a house with my mom, my stepdad, my sister, my little brother, and a dog.
126
The house had two bedrooms.
127
Okay.
128
So it's like what are we going to do?
129
My mom didn't make more than $20 ,000 a year.
130
I come from a family of hustlers I like to say.
131
Like my mom always had a little side thing, my dad had his own business, but I don't come from a successful family.
132
Nobody in my family went to college.
133
Nobody in my family ever came close to touching a mill.
134
I mean, nobody even came close to being debt free.
135
Everybody in my family is overly in debt. If I...
136
lived my whole life walking by sight and looking at my situation, maybe I would say, "Oh, well, I'm just not born for this."
137
I just simply don't have the opportunities like some of these other people that were born with a silver spoon.
138
Thank you.
139
No. Instead, I had faith.
140
I showed up every day, I did the work, and I trusted God.
141
I used to always say, "Trust the process." I'm gonna start saying, "Trust God." Thank you.
142
The one thing that I learned Is that like I've already been following all of, no, not all.
143
Don't gas yourself.
144
I've already been following a lot of these biblical principles without even knowing that they came from the Bible.
145
And then when I read them, it makes me very excited because I'm like, wait, this is.
146
This is the source, bro.
147
All the self -help books that I've been reading, they just copy -paste, bro.
148
They just copy -paste from the real book, you get what I'm saying?
149
So, ignore your reality.
150
Walk by faith and not by sight.
151
and you'll be surprised what life has in store for you.
152
You'll be surprised what God has in store for you.
153
I love you guys.
154
I'm rooting for all of you.
155
Make sure to subscribe.
156
Maybe we can get this channel to 100k subs this year, and let me know what else you guys want me to talk about.
157
See you in the next one.
158
So you're in the next.
159
