we can discuss all the options and what the best outcomes are going to be with the least amount of risk.

And we have a big team who work with the patient to determine what's going to be the best treatment for them.

Depending on the procedure, some of our endovascular treatments we do with a patient sedated,

but they don't have to undergo general anesthesia.

For some of the more complicated procedures we do under general anesthesia

and typically the procedures take significantly less time than an open vascular procedure.

We can go in through the artery in the hip with a small straw

and with a series of smaller

and smaller straws we go up into the arteries in the brain and we can seal off aneurysms,

treat arteriovenous malformations or tangles of blood vessels in the brain with minimally invasive techniques

and usually with the endovascular techniques that's going home the next day without an incision on the head

and returning to normal life as soon as they can.

In terms of safety what we know is

that outcomes are dependent on the volume that a center does
