Pratique du Shadowing: The Importance Of Changing Your Room - Apprendre l'anglais à l'oral avec la vidéo

Création de la leçon...
1
I want some change, so I'm gonna rearrange my room.
2
But there's one issue.
3
I'm pretty sure my room is in one of the only layouts that works with all the furniture I have in here.
4
I've got a bed, desk, dresser, and a few other little pieces.
5
But I want to find a way to change it.
6
But why do I want to change it at all?
7
I've been in this room layout for almost two years, and I felt like I've grown a lot in that time.
8
But when I come back to this space, I kind of fall back into my old self.
9
And I think seeing some visual change will help with that a little.
10
But what can I change with this layout?
11
The number one thing I want to move is my desk.
12
I want to move it to where my bed is.
13
I like the lighting from the window there.
14
That means the bed has to go somewhere else.
15
There's about three options.
16
Move it to where the desk is.
17
Nah.
18
Put it in the middle of the room.
19
That'd be awkward.
20
Which leaves one kind of weird spot.
21
The other side of the room where the dresser is.
22
We gotta move these big pieces first, and then we can see what to do with the other little pieces.
23
So let's get to work.
24
First, I had to move the dresser.
25
Obviously I know changing my room isn't going to magically make me do better habits, but I do believe that we associate certain habits and mindsets to certain environments.
26
After moving the dresser, I can move the bed into place.
27
Since I associate my old bedroom with my older self, it makes sense that I would fall back into it.
28
Now that the bed's moved, I can move the desk into its new spot.
29
Changing my environment should make it easier to form better habits.
30
I just have to actually choose to pair this environment with new bed.
31
habits.
32
And then finally, I can move the dresser into its new spot.
33
But that left me with two smaller pieces of furniture.
34
I couldn't put my nightstand next to my bed anymore.
35
And after seeing all the comments on the shoes inside my room, I decided I would move the shoe rack outside my room.
36
That left this blank spot next to my desk.
37
One of my goals is to not use my phone in my bed.
38
So I think having my nightstand away from my bed is good.
39
That means I have to get up out But before I reveal the new room layout, I had one last thing I wanted to change.
40
How my desk looked.
41
I spent a lot of time at my desk, and I think changing it up would be good.
42
And I think I have a pretty good idea for it.
43
Right now, it's a little lopsided.
44
The books are all on one side, and then you got the monitor on the other side.
45
What if I can make it more symmetrical?
46
then I'm gonna automatically go back to that place mentally. And it's done.
47
The rearrangement is complete.
48
Here's the reveal.
49
With this new arrangement, I want to start associating it with good things, good habits, a better mindset, a better mood.
50
I know this alone isn't going to be the game changer, but now it should be a little easier to change my thinking, change how I live, and grow.
51
But I have to make that decision.
52
Not the room.
