1
Hello everyone, my name is Dylan and welcome to a brand new video.
2
If you are new here, hi there.
3
I post fun and relaxing English lessons every single Friday.
4
So today I'm going to be showing you how to correctly ask
5
and answer 25 everyday questions in the modern RP British accent.
6
You are then going to be shadowing or repeating after me.
7
So this video is going to do two things for you.
8
Firstly, it's going to be a brilliant way to help you instantly sound more British in your everyday life.
9
And secondly, it's going to show you how to correctly ask and answer everyday questions like a native English speaker.
10
Nice.
11
So I have broken these sentences down into five different categories.
12
Firstly, we have greetings and introductions.
13
Secondly, we have everyday small talk.
14
Thirdly, we have some personal questions.
15
Fourthly, we have random questions.
16
And last but definitely not least, we have some that will be particularly hard to pronounce.
17
Now for this section, these aren't just sentences that contain big words that you don't even necessarily need to know.
18
Instead, they're all very commonly used sentences that might contain some awkward vowel sounds
19
or maybe some of the consonants linked together in a way that might be tricky for you to emulate.
20
So, therefore, if you are looking to develop a natural British accent, this section is going to be very important.
21
So, I will read each sentence three times and whilst you can just listen if you would like to.
22
To get the most from this video I would highly recommend repeating each sentence after me.
23
Now for this section it's important to try
24
and copy exactly how I say them if you wish to really train your modern RP British accent.
25
Finally everything that we cover in today's video will also be included in a free pdf
26
and the link is in the top comment.
27
