शैडोइंग अभ्यास: Everyone Learns Languages Wrong (Here's What Works) - वीडियो के साथ अंग्रेजी बोलना सीखें

1
Traditional language learning is designed to keep you stuck.
2
See, most people approach learning a new language the wrong way.
3
They start by memorizing grammar rules, but when it's time to actually speak, they freeze.
4
Your brain doesn't learn languages through rules and memorization.
5
It learns through exposure and pattern recognition, the same way you learned your first language as a kid.
6
You didn't study grammar tables when you were three years old.
7
language.
8
And stick around because step number four is something your high school teacher never told you, but it'll cut your learning time in half.
9
Step one: Choose the right language.
10
Before you even start studying a language, there are three important characteristics you should keep in mind.
11
First of all, it's worth looking at which languages are the most spoken in the world.
12
English leads with over a billion speakers,
13
followed by Mandarin Chinese with almost a billion native speakers. and French.
14
These languages give you access to enormous populations and a practically unlimited amount of content to consume,
15
but speaker numbers are only part of the equation.
16
Another key characteristic is the language's difficulty.
17
For this, I've created a tier list that ranks languages from easiest to hardest, considering English as the starting point.
18
In the easiest tier, we find Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
19
These languages similar to English.
20
Moving up to the second tier, we have languages like German and Indonesian that require more effort compared to the first group but remain manageable.
21
In the third tier, we find Russian, Thai, and all languages with a completely different writing system.
22
These require more patience and a bigger time investment.
23
At the extreme level, there are Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and Georgian.
24
With these languages, you're not just learning vocabulary, but you're also different way of thinking and processing written symbols.
25
From a practical standpoint, some languages offer specific advantages.
26
Spanish, for example, opens doors to two entire continents.
27
Mandarin connects you to the second largest economy in the world.
28
Arabic allows you to communicate in 22 countries across the Middle East and North Africa.
29
But here's the thing that matters more than any tier list or statistic.
30
You need a clear reason for learning it.
31
Whatever it is, that emotional connection is critical, because when the initial excitement fades, that reason is the only thing that'll keep you going.
32
So choose a language that connects to your life, your interest, and your future plans.
33
Otherwise, you'll quit before you even start seeing results.
34
Step 2: Get massive input.
35
When I talk about input, I'm referring to everything you absorb in the language you're learning.
36
All this material understanding of the language, and you need to expose yourself to a wide range of these inputs.
37
About 80 % of your time should be dedicated to input, meaning listening and reading, and only 20 % should be output, which is speaking and writing.
38
This is because your brain learns by recognizing patterns through repeated exposure.
39
The more language you absorb, the more automatically you start to understand how it works.
40
The key point is to expose yourself to content that's slightly above your current level.
41
Imagine that your current comprehension is at level 5.
42
The sweet spot for learning is content at level 6.
43
It's challenging enough to push you forward, but not so difficult that you feel completely lost.
44
So, what input should you actually consume?
45
It depends on your level.
46
If you're a beginner, start with YouTube videos or simple books written specifically for learners.
47
As your comprehension increases, move on to young adult novels and documentaries.
48
When you reach an advanced level, actual literature, and academic content.
49
Step 3: Learn words in context.
50
One of the most common approaches to learning vocabulary is using language apps or tools like Anki that let you create flashcards.
51
The problem is that after a while, it becomes incredibly boring repeating isolated words one after another.
52
Flashcards shouldn't be your main tool, but rather a light support that accompanies natural learning.
53
It's crucial to avoid isolated words and prefer textualized sentences because the brain doesn't store information like a dictionary.
54
So the smartest thing to do is take the list of the 1 ,000 most common words.
55
Just do a search to see what they are and learn them by adding context.
56
These common words appear constantly in comprehensible input, so natural exposure already provides spaced repetition without needing flashcards.
57
A simple trick to speed this up is asking AI narratives that repeat those words in different contexts,
58
showing you how they're actually used in real sentences.
59
If you learn 20 words a day this way, you'll hit 1000 in just two months.
60
That's a massive advantage because you'll understand a solid chunk of everyday conversations right out of the gate.
61
After you've nailed the basics, you can start expand your repertoire with more advanced words.
62
And this is where flashcards actually become useful.
63
Use them but keep forgetting because they don't appear enough in your daily input.
64
This way, you're picking up vocabulary, grammar, and natural collocations all at once, significantly accelerating your learning time.
65
Step 4: Shadowing.
66
Shadowing is a powerful technique where you speak simultaneously while listening to a native speaker, replicating every sound they produce in real time.
67
Using this approach, your brain learns to process rhythm and intonation, pronunciation.
68
To put it into practice, choose audio or video at a comfortable level.
69
Listen to it once to understand the content, then play it back and start speaking along with the speaker.
70
Copy exactly their tone of voice, word emphasis, pauses, everything.
71
Start with 20 to 30 second segments and try to dedicate 10 minutes a day to this activity.
72
Step 5.
73
Structure your day.
74
Everyone has their own rhythm of life.
75
Whatever your situation, the key is to intelligently manage the time you have available.
76
The secret is to divide language learning into three distinct blocks that fit naturally into your routine.
77
The first block is what I call focused immersion time, and it's the most demanding phase where you need about 60 minutes of uninterrupted focus.
78
It's the moment when you sit down and actively interact with the language, watching a series with subtitles in your target language, reading articles or books that interest you,
79
and then saving key phrases from much shorter, and it's perfect for mornings before the day begins or early afternoon.
80
In this phase, you focus on shadowing, grammar, and reviewing the phrases you saved previously.
81
Then comes the third block.
82
This is your unfocused listening time, and you layer it over activities you're already doing.
83
You don't need to be laser focused.
84
In fact, you're intentionally letting your brain absorb the language passively while you focus on something else.
85
exposure because you can listen to them anywhere.
86
You can insert these chunks into different moments of your day, maybe when you take the bus or before bed.
87
Some studies show that if you listen to podcasts in your target language right before going to bed,
88
the learning effect multiplies because your brain consolidates everything you've absorbed during sleep,
89
making this potentially the most powerful learning window of the entire day.
90
That's how you turn your routine into a language If you enjoyed this video,
91
leave a like and let me know in the comments what language you're trying to learn.

Bye.

आप "Everyone Learns Languages Wrong (Here's What Works)" के साथ Shadowing तकनीक का उपयोग करके अपनी अंग्रेजी का अभ्यास कर रहे हैं।
