1
What if you could take a tool like ChatGPT and have it edit videos for you?
2
Now in the past, AI has been really amazing at doing things like creating websites,
3
coding unique tools, but it has fallen behind on being able to edit videos until now.
4
In this video, I'm going to show you how to take ChatGPT and feed it raw footage,
5
and it will be able to do things like take out silences, be able to do cuts for you, and even add motion graphics.
6
Let's dive right in.
7
All right guys, let's waste no more time and let's actually learn how we can go edit videos with chat gbt
8
So in order to do this
9
We are obviously going to go need a chat gbt account
10
and we are going to use a plug -in called chat cut
11
And basically what we're gonna do is we're gonna go take a brief or take the videos that you have
12
We are then gonna have chat gbt go cut it and then we are gonna be able to review it
13
Then make any revisions that we have and then go export it
14
And so in order to do this we are going to need to know the audience
15
that we are going to be creating the video for We need to give it the length of the video
16
and what it needs to be at we need to give it the format
17
We need to be able to keep the full example
18
and then remove any restarts or pauses now to just jump right in first off
19
You are going to need a chat gbt account
20
So you're just going to want to go to chat gbt .com
21
and you are going to want to download the chat gbt desktop
22
Now the reason for that is because we are going to be using a tool called codex
23
It is ChatGPT's coding model.
24
And if you just come to their website right here, you can download
25
Mac OS or on your Windows and be able to use the ChatGPT desktop app.
26
Now, once you're in here, you're gonna just switch over from ChatGPT into Codex, just like that.
27
And this is just the coding version of ChatGPT.
28
Don't worry, you don't need to be a coder.
29
You just need to be in this coding version.
30
Now, the very first thing that we're gonna need to do is we're gonna need to come into plugins
31
and then we're gonna wanna go up here to the top and look up ChatCut.
32
Now Chaka is a plugin for ChatGPT that will allow you to actually download and edit videos.
33
And so you can see right here, it can do asset import.
34
It can do things like plugin basics, create motion graphics, digital human, export, do music, multi -cam sync,
35
shader gen, verification, video gen, and much, much more.
36
So it's got all of these really, really awesome tools.
37
And all we're going to need to do is click on this try now button.
38
Now you can see right here, we don't have any specific project setup.
39
If you're unfamiliar with projects, it's just a folder on your computer
40
that will allow you to continue to work on the same files over and over and over again.
41
So what we're going to do is we're just going to go ahead and choose project.
42
We're going to do a new project
43
and I'm going to say chat GBT editor and then create the project and trust the folder.
44
Now you can see right here it says help me connect to chat cut web
45
and then we can go put in our prompt.
46
But before we dive in and put in our prompt, I want to go upload our files here.
47
So we're going to go into my downloads.
48
We are going to go into the zip file
49
And give it that zip file here, which has my screen recording and my video recording for a vsl
50
that I want to put on one of my landing pages
51
And i'm going to just go ahead and put in this basic prompt
52
and don't worry if you're in my school community I'll put the prompt in my school community
53
so that you can follow along too
54
But this is all i'm going to say hey, I have just given you a zip file inside of
55
that zip file you're going to see a screen recording but also a talking head recording from my camera view.
56
This is going to be a VSL for my landing page promoting the Amplify AI Lab.
57
What I would like for you to do is figure out
58
when to go use the face and when to go use the screen recording and then also go take out silences,
59
go do the correct cuts and go add in screens
60
or motion graphics and animations that would then make the video more intriguing.
61
I'd be totally okay
62
if you added a soft music track in the background just to keep people's attention
63
and I would be super happy with whatever you come up with.
64
And so right there I'm just going to go throw
65
that prompt into chat tbt right here
66
I am on 6 .1 sole we'll just go to medium here
67
I don't see any reason to be any higher than that
68
so 6 .1 sole medium and then we're going to go ahead and press send.
69
Now what chat is going to do
70
or chat cut is going to do is it's first going
71
to go take a look at these videos in this folder
72
and then from there it's going to go do all of the editing the transcripts the cutting
73
and all that kind of stuff as well
74
so you can see I'm using the chat cut editing workflow to connect chat cup web inspect both recordings
75
and build a polished VSL with tighter pacing purposeful camera
76
and screen cuts and supporting graphics so we're going to let
77
that sit right there see what it does
78
and I'll give you updates along the way
79
now one thing to make known is it just says right here hey
80
it looks like chat cup web isn't registered yet I'm setting up the hosted connection
81
it will need your chat cut sign in.
82
So I don't have a chat cut account yet.
83
So you're seeing this literally from the ground up.
84
And what it did is it opened up this page here.
85
And all I'm going to do is go connect with Google
86
and go get me registered for a free account to then connect to my Codex account.
87
All right.
88
And for transparency, I just wanted to show you how the rest of this chat went.
89
So I went and connected my Gmail account.
90
And I said, I think I just connected.
91
I didn't have to pay anything extra for chat cut.
92
And then it said right here, okay, yes, chat cut confirmed you're successfully logged in.
93
The editing tools haven't loaded into this session yet.
94
Reopen this chat and then send, continue the VSL.
95
So I just copied and paste, continued the VSL.
96
And it said the chat cut signed and succeeded, but the running chat still supports unknown MCP server chat cut.
97
I can't begin until editing until Codex loads the connection, fully quit and relaunch Codex, then reopen this chat and then continue the VSL.
98
So I guess I need to go reload the plug -in sometimes this happens when you're connecting mcps or integrations
99
That codex or chat gbt needs to do a full refresh in order to know that that connection has been made
100
All right And just like that I reloaded my chat gbt desktop app
101
and I said continue to the vsl and it says great I'll check the connection
102
And then what it did is it actually opened up a little tab over here
103
so that it can start to go work on the video editor
104
Now how chat cut works is it goes and up uploads this browser and then you can see inside of the browser
105
It's then going to go upload the clips and once it has the clips
106
It's able to go do things like grand transcriptions go do the cutting add motion graphics and many many more
107
So you'll actually be able to see it work right here on the side as it's going through
108
and working on these different things
109
So that you can watch it in real time
110
and actually go see its progress I did want to jump in real quick too
111
because I actually made a mistake and I just wanted to make you aware of it
112
Not that it would hinder your journey on trying to edit videos,
113
but I did want to just show you how easy it is to go make course corrections
114
so that you don't feel like you have to start over every time.
115
So what had happened is I had given it a recording from the video software that I use,
116
and I actually gave it the screen recording with my face on top of it instead of two separate recordings.
117
And so what I did is I downloaded those two individual recordings.
118
I have the camera and I have the screen.
119
You could see there was the messed up one right there.
120
And then I just said hey, I gave you the wrong recordings and it said no worries I'm gonna go ahead
121
and pause the edit until I have the correct screen recordings and then we'll get started
122
And then I gave it the two correct screen recordings right here
123
So here's my camera view and then here's the screen view and now it has both of those in its editor
124
And it will start working on those for me
125
So just wanted to to pause and say that it's okay if you mess up
126
In fact, it's actually really intuitive
127
And so if you do mess up, you can just come back and say hey, sorry real quick.
128
I gave you the wrong things I need to start over.
129
Hey, I need to give you some additional information
130
and chat CBT does a phenomenal job pausing and waiting until it has all the information needed.
131
And while it's still editing, I just want to show you what chat cut is.
132
It's actually a pretty cool tool that you can go pay for by itself.
133
But because of the connector, you can use it with a tool like chat CBT for free.
134
And inside of this chat cut tab,
135
you can actually see it has a full library of all of these infographics and motion graphics that you can use.
136
So for example, if we go over here to data visualization, it's got these cool bar graphs and has this climbing scaling graph right there.
137
And it's got these pie charts and it has all of these accessible to it
138
so that it can actually go create these motion graphics for you.
139
It also has things like all these amazing sound effects that it can use.
140
It has a bunch of different transitions that it can use.
141
That way it can go do the best video editing possible.
142
So this is why this tool is so cool
143
because it actually allows you to be able to go use some of these different transitions
144
These effects these motion graphics to be able to really bring your video to life
145
And because we're connecting it with chat tbt and have the plug -in installed
146
It knows that all of this is there and available to it so that it can do the best job possible
147
So it looks like it's going through and still making some edits
148
It's already taken out some silences for us
149
and we'll let it continue to go create what it needs to and we'll come back when it's done
150
Okay, so it looks like the video is done and
151
that took probably about 10 minutes which is much faster than I thought
152
And you can see right over here
153
It still has us in the browser
154
and let's go see how it actually did hey if you've just landed on this video
155
You're probably trying to find a place to actually learn AI because here's the reality
156
There is a bunch of tutorials online about what AI is
157
But does it actually drive a meaningful change and impact to your life or to your business?
158
Now my name is Brayden Carter and I speak
159
and consult on AI and specifically how to use it to save time save money or make more money
160
And just recently I did a retreat where I was able to teach business owners on how to use AI
161
And they were able to see results pretty quick
162
In fact, you can see this testimonial right here
163
Somebody said it made me feel like I'm way too old to learn AI, but this was dumbed down to my level
164
It was built a huge confidence.
165
Now.
166
I know I can do things and then we had many more I built a $5 ,000 website in 20 minutes.
167
I went from learning alone to clarity.
168
I built a recovery app.
169
I was able to write books with AI and many, many more.
170
I realized that a lot of people don't know where to start with AI.
171
So what I created is the four days to AI fluency, where I've come up with four pillars that
172
if you can just recognize these individual pillars will actually help you know how to utilize AI.
173
There is discovery, integration, workflows, and agentic AI.
174
And this This is exactly what I taught those business owners in this room.
175
And I want to give it to you for free.
176
You just got to come over to my school community and join for free.
177
We have over 242 members all over the globe right now that are part of the school community.
178
And if you come over to the classroom, you can see there is the four days to AI fluency.
179
Well, you'll learn how to use AI to do discovery and research.
180
You'll learn how to integrate it with tools.
181
You'll learn how to create automations and workflow.
182
And in day four, literally in four days, you'll learn how to create AI agents that will drive meaningful impact to your business.
183
So if this is something that you want, again, it's completely free, no strings attached.
184
You can go to my school link below and all you'll need to do is join and it's all yours.
185
We'll see you in the school community.
186
And so right there you can see it did a really really good job.
187
It went and added motion graphics
188
They went from my talking head went to my screen and it just made it feel a little bit more professional
189
And all we had to do is take the video put it into chat cbt
190
and chat cbt took care of the rest
191
Now as you're doing this a couple things to watch out for this is a desktop agent only
192
You won't be able to do this inside of the web version of chat cbt
193
You'll want to make sure that you do download the desktop app
194
Another thing to understand is if you're going to only use ChatCBT, you won't be able to do the 4K video editing.
195
You will only be able to do 1080p.
196
And then the last thing is generation will do and use credits.
197
So don't feel like this is a completely free tool.
198
It is going to pull from your credits or from your usage from ChatCBT.
199
But you're not having to go pay for a video editor or video tool.
200
And the amount of credits that it's using is minimal compared to what it used to be.
201
Now my verdict this took about 10 minutes and it did a really really good job
202
In fact, I probably would have had to hire somebody out or spend 30 to 45 minutes of my own time
203
In a tool like cat cut to be able to go make this happen
204
Now I didn't use any fixes in the specific video I think it did a pretty good job by itself
205
But if you had specific designs that you wanted to use or specific branding that you wanted to use
206
You would be able to go in and suggest those fixes and it would go make those fixes for you
207
And would I post this?
208
Absolutely In fact, I'm considering putting this on my landing page right now
209
so that I can be able to have that VSL sales letter just to be able to say,
210
hey, this is my community and so much more.
211
So anyways, a couple of takeaways.
212
Give it a brief like an editor.
213
You're going to want to make sure that you're communicating and giving it all that it needs to.
214
You can actually go watch every cut, which is really, really cool.
215
And if you needed to, you would be able to make one fix at a time.
216
But guys, thank you so much for tuning into today's video and following along with me.
217
If you have any other questions or if you want me to make other videos, make sure to comment down below what you'd like to see.
218
And again, just like we showed in this video, if you wanna come hang out in my school community,
219
if you want the four days to AI fluency for free, come join and hang out.
220
But guys, don't forget to like and subscribe to this channel for more AI tips and tricks, and we'll see you in the next video.
