6
It's a tour of my
7
kitchen will explore this very important room
8
and learn the names of many things you can find in the kitchen learning kitchen vocabulary is super practical because
9
Everyone uses the kitchen and everyone needs to eat.
10
Let's get started.
11
All right, we're going to start today with the big things in the kitchen, especially the appliances.
12
This first one is really, really important.
13
This is my refrigerator.
14
Refrigerator.
15
But everyone in English calls it a fridge you can say my fridge right This is where I keep food, like milk.
16
eggs, fruits, vegetables.
17
It keeps everything cold so that they can stay fresh.
18
Have a look.
19
And right next to the fridge is the freezer.
20
This is the freezer.
21
We keep food frozen in the freezer,
22
like ice cream, frozen vegetables, maybe meat, ice, right?
23
It's much colder than the fridge.
24
all my dry good foods like canned foods,
25
things I cook with like rice or pasta or even cereal,
26
anything that is doesn't need to be refrigerated or frozen I keep in the pantry.
27
Okay next up for our big appliances this is my stove that's the top part the stove with burners.
28
My stove has four burners and it's where I cook food in pots.
29
This is a pot. And...
30
Pans.
31
This is a pan or a frying pan, right?
32
For example, I can boil water for pasta on the stove or I can fry eggs, right?
33
Below the stove, under the stove, this large box, this is the oven and I use my oven
34
I have a microwave and I use it to heat food really fast.
35
Over here this is the sink.
36
The sink.
37
I use the sink to wash dishes.
38
I wash my hands or I clean fruits and vegetables
39
and the part where the water comes out this is called a faucet.
40
faucet and next to the sink I have where I put my dishes to dry.
41
This is a drying rack.
42
drying rack.
43
Now a lot of Americans next to their sink they have a dishwasher.
44
right after they eat the dishwasher washes
45
and cleans all the dirty dishes automatically for them and it saves so much time sadly i don't have a dishwasher
46
Now let's look at a few things I have on my countertop.
47
This is called a counter or a countertop.
48

49
So a few smaller appliances that I have that I use all the time are my rice maker.

51
I love to make rice and it actually cooks all kinds of different things.
52

58
Another very important item in my kitchen is a kettle or a tea kettle or sometimes we call it a teapot.
59
I use this to boil hot water to make tea.
60
And maybe the most important thing in my whole kitchen, that is my little coffee maker.
61
I use my coffee maker every single morning.
62
One more appliance I almost forgot about.
63
This is my toaster and it does a lot of really cool things.
64
It's also an air fryer.
65
I use it to toast bread, to cook all different kinds of things really, really quickly.
66
It's kind of like a mini oven.
67
It's awesome now it's time to open a few drawers in my kitchen we have spoons
68
forks knives and chopsticks this is all silverware Another important drawer,
69
this is where I have my cooking utensils like spatulas and tongs and spoons or ladles,
70
even a pizza cutter and a meat thermometer.
71
The next drawer to explore we have measuring cups and straws,
72
a whisk, a spatula, and clips for chip bags.
73
This drawer holds a can opener.
74
another meat thermometer.
75
some aluminum foil.
76
and parchment paper.
77
And wax paper.
78
all i can use these for baking or for saving my food my leftovers for later
79
I'm back in front of the camera.
80
Let me open a couple cabinets.
81
These are called cabinets.
82
And here I keep things like plates.
83
I have lots of plates,
84
bowls, even paper bowls and paper plates for easy cleanup after a meal.
85
In this cabinet, I keep all my cups, lots and lots of cups, even some plastic cups.
86

87
Here's another important cabinet where I keep things like all different types of glass and plastic bowls.
88
These bowls are for mixing, mixing bowls.
89
I use them when I make brownies or I mix up dough for bread.
90
And I have all different sizes of bowls and food containers.
91

92
when I want to save my leftovers for later and put them in the fridge to eat tomorrow.

  • “This is my...”
  • “I keep... in...”
  • “I use...” - Utilizzata per parlare delle funzioni degli oggetti. “I use the sink to wash dishes” dimostra come queste frasi possano essere applicate anche nelle conversazioni quotidiane.

Ecco alcuni suggerimenti:

  • “Refrigerator” - Spesso abbreviato in “fridge”.
