1
So your energy is the same every day.
2
And as long as your energy is the same, nothing's gonna change in your life either.
3
And nobody changes until they change their energy.
4
So a victim consciousness is when we allow something in our outer environment to control the way we feel and think.
5
So if I say to you, Jay, why are you so upset today?
6
And you said, oh, it's because of this person or circumstance, what you're really saying is, Something in my outer environment some person
7
or some condition is controlling the way I think and feel and that's not the truth That's just a response, right?
8
So anything that controls our thoughts
9
and feelings Causes us to be victim to those things
10
and the stronger the emotion we feel to some circumstance in our life The more we pay attention to it
11
and where we place our attention is where we place our energy So we're giving our life force.
12
We're giving our power away to
13
that circumstance in other words a person wakes up in the morning
14
and the brain is a record of the past the first thing they do
15
when they wake up in the morning is they start thinking about their problems
16
and those problems are memories that are etched in the brain
17
that are connected to certain people certain objects certain things at certain times
18
and places so if you believe
19
that your thoughts have something to do with your destiny the
20
moment you think about your problems you're thinking in the past
21
right now every one of those problems has an emotion associated with them
22
because we've experienced them
23
so the moment you remember your problems now you feel unhappy now you feel anxious now you feel fear
24
so the moment we feel those emotions it takes a thought
25
and a feeling a memory or an image and emotion a stimulus
26
and a response and we start conditioning the body emotionally into the past
27
and so then people use the problems
28
and the conditions in their life to reaffirm their conditioning
29
or their addiction to that emotion
30
and in a sense they become addicted to the life they don't even like
31
and this is why change is so hard so then
32
when a person makes up their mind to change
33
and they say okay i'm not going to say i can't
34
i'm not going to judge another person i'm not going to
35
blame i'm not going to complain i'm not going to make
36
excuses i'm not going to be a victim i'm not going to talk trash about anybody i'm just going to stop
37
well
38
that works out really well for the first couple hours then
39
the body's saying you're out a schedule you normally at eight in the morning you're getting traffic
40
and you're angry then at 11 o 'clock you check your emails
41
and you're really judgmental
42
and frustrated the body's saying well you've been doing this for
43
the last 20 years you're just going to stop today
44
so now the body
45
which has been conditioned emotionally to be the mind wants to return back to its familiar territory to the known
46
so the body starts influencing the mind
47
and it says you know come on this is a good time to judge
48
that come on this is a good time to suffer it's
49
your ex's fault it's your it's the government's fault it's uh
50
you know it's the weather what the news whatever it is and if we
51
accept believe and surrender to that thought without analyzing it it slips by
52
and it begins to program the autonomic nervous system to make those pharmacy of chemicals
53
and so that's when When the person makes the same choice,
54
does the same thing, creates the same experience just for that familiar feeling, okay, I'll complain just so I can feel suffering,
55
then they'd rather be unhappy than step into the unknown, to step into the possibility.
56
People think when they do this that they're doing something wrong because there's such discomfort that comes with it, but they're in the unknown, they're actually doing it right.
57
People say, I think I'm meditating wrong.
58
I always say oh no no no you're doing it right
59
because when you notice that your body wants to get up
60
and Check your cell phone or have a cup of coffee
61
and you become aware that it's on autopilot and wants to do that and you say
62
Come on over here and you return it back to the present moment
63
You're executing a will now That's greater than the program and
64
if the person's wants to just get angry
65
while they're sitting there there's an arousal
66
and they notice the body is amping up and revving up
67
and they settle it back down now they're telling the body it's no longer the mind
68
that they're the mind now we've researched this
69
and it's tedious in the beginning at first because david is fighting goliath
70
but if you keep practicing it just like training an animal sooner
71
or later the body acquiesces sooner or later the body is trained to a new mind.
72
The creative process now gets exciting because what thoughts do you want to fire and wire in your brain?
73
What kind of attention and intention do you want to place so that that becomes the loudest voice in your head?
74
And if you keep practicing it, the hardware becomes a software program and it'll say, Jay, you can't do it can do anything.
75
Jay, you live in no time and accomplish everything.
76
Jay, you're unlimited.
77
You just got to hang with it.
78
On the other side of this is greatness.
79
Whatever you want to program in there, you get the program in there.
80
If you sat down and say, how am I going to be with my wife, my husband, my partner?
81
How am I going to be with my kids?
82
How am I going to be at work with my co -workers?
83
How am I going to be in traffic?
84
And you close your eyes and you begin to rehearse in your mind.
85
If you're truly present, the brain does not know the difference between the real life experience and what you're imagining.
86
So now the brain goes from a record of the past to a map to the future.
87
Now you're installing the hardware.
88
Keep practicing it.
89
It becomes automatic.
90
It comes easier.
91
Now it's a software program.
92
You may just start behaving differently.
93
And then if you said, well, listen, I'm not going to wait for my healing to feel gratitude.
94
I'm not going to wait for my new relationship to feel love.
95
I'm going to actually teach my body emotionally what
96
that future feels like before it happens now this is a big turnaround for a lot of people
97
because we're so reliant on the outer world to change our inner world right waiting
98
and waiting is not creating I mean period and
99
when people are they could have the greatest intentions in the world
100
but if they don't combine that with an elevated emotion there's no signal
101
because the elevated emotion is the carrier it's the energy that carries the thought so then And when we're in separation,
102
in lack, waiting for our wealth to feel abundance, we're basically living our whole life in pain, right?
103
So then if you reason this and a person can get up from their meditation
104
and they literally feel differently and they're feeling the emotions of their future before it happens, this is turning the whole process around.
105
They can't be looking for it.
106
Why would they be looking for it if they felt like it already happened?
107
Now there's no separation.
108
Now this is when those serendipities and coincidences and opportunities begin to show up in people's lives.
109
So it's work, but then when they start seeing the experience in their life,
110
all of a sudden they start believing they're more of the creator of their life
111
and less of the victim of their life.
112
How do you process a problem productively, effectively, through thoughts?
113
Yes.
114
Great, great question.
115
Again, I think we're all faced with great opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.
116
And in order, like for me personally, and after looking through your book and reading a good portion of it,
117
I mean, for me, there's no school of ancient wisdom that you need to go to to be initiated.
118
Your life is your initiation if you're paying attention.
119
So we meet challenges in our life from a certain level of mind, right?
120
A certain level of consciousness or unconsciousness.
121
And even Einstein said we have to go to a greater level of consciousness than the consciousness that's created the problem.
122
But what is consciousness?
123
Consciousness is awareness.
124
And awareness means possibilities that you haven't thought of before.
125
So if we said, I want to be wealthy or I want to be healthy,
126
well what what you want to be that because you're not it
127
so the initiation of going from not it here to it here you're going to have to climb some steps
128
and there's going to be some blind spots so you try it out
129
and it doesn't work well that's
130
because there's a part of you that's still in a habit there's part of you that's still unconscious okay
131
so what is it about myself in that circumstance
132
that I am feeling about that circumstance and that feeling is causing me to think about it.
133
So you say, oh, it's impossible.
134
They'll never change.
135
I'll hire a hitman.
136
I'll hire the mafia.
137
I'll hire an attorney.
138
I'll have my friend's friend to talk to him and nothing changes, right?
139
Well, you're not separate from that experience.
140
You're involved in it and how you think
141
and how you feel broadcasts energy into the field it's like
142
hey you people people come to our work all the time for a lot of reasons
143
and one of the common reasons is they want to get healthy yeah
144
and in there because they're dealing with a very serious health condition
145
and I always say the same thing to him stop wanting to be healthy learn the formula yeah
146
and how to get healthy learn the formula on how to heal
147
and the healing will be the side effect of it
148
if you're obsessing about why am I not healed you're still the old person you could become
149
that person every day right it turns out that
150
when you sit down and the people that we interview
151
that have had significant changes when it's no longer about their health
152
but they are they are out of the bleachers
153
and they're on the playing field
154
and they are coming up against the belief like one lady said God I I always thought
155
that this work really worked that this kind of these concepts are the truth
156
but I never believed it worked for me
157
And I was in a car accident in a wheelchair and then she made the decision She was gonna overcome that belief.
158
Now.
159
It was no longer about her healing It was about overcoming the belief, but she overcame the belief And it showed up every day for herself
160
when you believe in yourself you believe in possibilities when you believe in Possibilities you got to believe in yourself.
161
You don't show up for yourself You don't believe in it.
162
Yeah, and that's why people don't do the work I mean if you you believe that your thoughts created reality
163
you would show up every day and create and
164
so a lot of people believe in their past more than
165
they believe in their future a lot of people fall in love
166
or more in love with their past
167
or romance their past instead of romance their future or love their future it's it's so so you never know
168
the outcome when a person really catches that thought
169
that leads to the same choice that leads to the same behavior
170
that creates the same experience that produces the same emotion
171
that discomfort that unpredictability
172
that uncertainty that's that's that's a side effect of leaving the known that's what change is about
173
and learning how to be comfortable in it instead of just
174
white knuckling it go oh i have some tools to self -regulate i'm in fear oh excuse me
175
and you excuse yourself yeah and you change that
176
and then you're there and then here comes the fear again excuse me
177
and i always say if not now when now is the new later like don't wait
178
and a belief is just a thought you keep thinking over
179
and over again until you hardwired in your brain
180
and all beliefs are based on past experience a person has an experience the stronger the emotion they have from
181
that circumstance the more they pay attention to the cause
182
and the brain freezes a frame takes a snapshot
183
and that's called the memory the moment they draw a conclusion about
184
that experience they'll think neurologically within those circuits
185
and they'll feel chemically within the boundaries of emotion thinking
186
and feeling thinking and feeling belief becomes an unconscious
187
or subconscious state of being they don't most people don't even
188
know they have beliefs about things about god about relationships about money
189
because it's it's not a conscious thing it's a subconscious thing yeah
190
so in order to change a belief or a perception about yourself
191
and your life you got to go all in it's not like you go 50 in you got to go all in.
192
You got to make a decision with such firm intention
193
that the amplitude of that decision carries a level of energy that causes the body to respond to the mind.
194
That the choice that you make becomes a moment in time you'll never forget and you would say, I remember the moment I made up my mind to change.
195
And the stronger the emotion you feel, the more you'll pay attention to the decision
196
and that's a huge stone you drop in the quantum field big splash big waves
197
and in essence we're giving the body a taste emotionally of
198
the future we're aligning to a new future now how many times you have to do
199
that i don't know i've done it over
200
and over again until it becomes uncompromising and people say i remember
201
when i made up my mind to change i remember i
202
made up my mind to heal i I remember the moment I can tell you where I was, who I was with, what time of day it was.
203
It wasn't like 9 -11, something outer world changing your inner world.
204
Your inner world is changing your inner world, which is ultimately gonna change your outer world.
205
So, and I say to them, listen, if you can't feel gratitude, if you can't feel love, I just wanna know what you've been practicing feeling every day.
206
Cause that feeling that you're practicing is what you're always feeling.
207
Now let's practice feeling something else.
208
In the beginning, it's not gonna be easy, but you got to keep following the formula, keep doing it, keep doing it, keep doing it.
209
Well, when they start feeling gratitude,
210
it's very interesting because the emotional signature of gratitude is that something wonderful just happened to you.
211
Something favorable is happening to you, right?
212
So you've just received something or you're receiving something.
213
You say, thank you.
214
So gratitude is the ultimate state of receiving emotionally so
215
when you move into a state of gratitude
216
and you open your heart you will accept believe
217
and surrender to the thoughts equal to that emotional state
218
and you'll program your autonomic nervous system into a different destiny
219
you could say i'm healthy i'm healthy i'm healthy i'm wealthy
220
i'm wealthy i'm wealthy i'm wealthy i'm free i'm free
221
and your body is conditioned in the misery
222
and it's saying no you're not and
223
that thought stops right at the brain stem i scratch my head sometimes
224
when i'm standing on the stage
225
and there's someone speaking to the audience who has had a very serious health condition
226
and they don't look like a vegan and they don't look gluten free
227
and they don't look young and they don't look buffed
228
and they don't look like they're in shape they just look like a normal person
229
that has struggled with a health condition
230
and they're telling the truth mm -hmm they
231
that you are witnessing the truth they are the example of
232
truth in other words they have the scans they have the blood test it's gone.
233
And I'm looking out in the audience, Jay, and everybody is leaning in.
234
Nobody is moving.
235
They are in awe of the four -minute mile right in front of them.
236
Somebody broke through.
237
Somebody pierced that veil.
238
Somebody broke out of that level of consciousness.
239
And that story is filled with truth.
240
Not my words.
241
It's their words.
242
They just showed up every day for themselves.
243
They just kept showing up and believing in it, and they became it, right?
244
You ask that person, where's the disease?
245
They'll tell you it's in the old person.
246
I'm not the same.
247
It can't be there.
248
The person in the audience who's relating to that person with the same rare genetic disorder, the same lupus, the same cancer,
249
don't you know that their belief is going to change right in front of them?
250
And instead of taking two years to do it, they do it in three months.
251
Why?
252
Because as soon as the four -minute mile was broken, the next one that broke was two weeks later, and there's been 1 ,400 people have done it.
253
I mean, it's not a thing anymore, right?
254
what's one thing that you think people value but you don't oh other people's opinions if i really
255
cared what people thought i would have stopped this a long time ago
