and how many of us have this complicated relationship with leisure

like well we don't know how to relax i only got up to chapter three

which is a bummer but someone has this book on hold

so maybe they will finish it i think i'm actually just gonna buy this book

because i am enjoying it and it's really shaping my own relationship with time and

how i evaluate myself because i think ever since i became a mom like a working mom it's it's felt

truly impossible to feel like all the pillars in my life are well maintained

if i'm killing it in motherhood then my professional life starts to flail

if i'm seeing more friends

and i can't see family like it's just it just feels

like really challenging to divide my finite time into a way where all facets of me feel fulfilled returning this book

Wat is de Shadowing-techniek?

Shadowing is een wetenschappelijk onderbouwde taalleermethode die oorspronkelijk is ontwikkeld voor professionele tolkentraining en gepopulariseerd door polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. De methode is eenvoudig maar krachtig: je luistert naar native Engelse audio en herhaalt het onmiddellijk hardop — als een schaduw die de spreker volgt met slechts 1–2 seconden vertraging. In tegenstelling tot passief luisteren of grammaticadrills, dwingt shadowing je hersenen en mondspieren om echte spraakpatronen tegelijkertijd te verwerken en te reproduceren. Onderzoek toont aan dat het de uitspraaknauwkeurigheid, intonatie, ritme, verbonden spraak, luisterbegrip en spreekvaardigheid aanzienlijk verbetert — waardoor het een van de meest effectieve methoden is voor IELTS Speaking-voorbereiding en echte Engelse communicatie.
