Shadowing Practice: GYARU MAKEUP🌺✨(on NON-ASIAN FEATURES!) #makeuptutorial #makeup #gyaru - Learn English Speaking with Video

Creating lesson...
1
Gyaru makeup is downright insane.
2
And somehow, these Asian girlies are able to pull it off like it's effortless.
3
But can it look just as effortless on non-Asian features?
4
Let's find out.
5
Step one, we pop in our colored contacts, of course.
6
For our base, we are going for that full beat coverage.
7
And then color corrector and some concealer to hide the chronic insomnia.
8
We set the under eyes, and now it's time for liquid contour.
9
This is a step you can skip, as I don't see many gals doing this.
10
But I always like to contour my face, so I'm doing it anyway.
11
After powdering the face and getting that matte finish, we move on to eyebrows.
12
Gals tend to avoid dark, thick eyebrows.
13
So I tried lightening and thinning mine out as best as I could with some concealer.
14
I'm using a little bit of bronzer to help add some more vibrance to my face.
15
And for nose contour, Giano makeup tends to focus on contouring the nose straight down only.
16
But since I'm trying to make this suit my features, I decided to add some contour underneath the tip of my nose.
17
Now we take some white eyeshadow and highlight the nose straight down.
18
I'm softening up my contour lines a bit with some bronzer.
19
I apply some white eyeshadow all over the lid and in my inner corners.
20
And then some white eyeliner on top of that to make it pop even more.
21
Gals tend to go for more droopy puppy style eyeliner.
22
So I'm starting off with a slightly droop straight wing.
23
I connect it to my upper lash line, and then add a little pointy point to my inner corners.
24
And now for maybe the most important step, the infamous gyaru droop, which I start drawing on at the lowest point of my wing
25
and connect all the way up to my inner corner.
26
I'm going ahead and filling out that gap between the wing and the droop.
27
Gyaru girls seem to go pretty dramatic with the aegyo style makeup, so I first draw mine on with some dark brown eyeshadow and then I highlight it with some white eyeliner.
28
Repeat all that on the other eye and now we apply the lashes, which involves using bold spiky manga lashes, which we apply on the top and on the bottom of our droop.
29
I'm applying some mascara to blend my fake lashes with my natural lashes.
30
And it seems gals tend to go for more vibrant blush shades, so I'm applying this bright pink one.
31
They also seem to avoid dark colors on the lips, so we're using concealer as our lipstick, and I decided to add a little bit of brown lip liner just to add some dimension
32
and separation from the rest of my face.
33
Oop, jump scare.
34
I apply a little bit of light gloss and draw on a beauty mark just as an added touch.
35
And here is the finished Giyadu-inspired makeup look.
36
I'm not exactly sure what Giyadu substyle my makeup would fall under, but I'm still so happy I found a way to make it work for my own features.
37
I even tried making an outfit to pull the whole look together.
38
I also wanted to see what it would look like with the way I regularly do my lips.
39
And I'm in love.
40
What makeup style should I try next?
41
Bye!

What is the Shadowing Technique?

Shadowing is a science-backed language learning technique originally developed for professional interpreter training and popularized by polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. The method is simple but powerful: you listen to native English audio and immediately repeat it out loud — like a shadow following the speaker with just a 1–2 second delay. Unlike passive listening or grammar drills, shadowing forces your brain and mouth muscles to simultaneously process and reproduce real speech patterns. Research shows it significantly improves pronunciation accuracy, intonation, rhythm, connected speech, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency — making it one of the most effective methods for IELTS Speaking preparation and real-world English communication.
