Good morning and welcome to this video.

Today's video is going to be about something that I've been asked by you so many times

and that is how did I get my job.

So I thought that today I wanted to take you guys along on a day at my work

and of course I will also talk about like my journey and how I got this job, what I've been doing before and also my tips to getting a job like this.

As some of you might know I work at a PR and marketing agency based here in Copenhagen.

I work as a PR and marketing coordinator

and I have been working for the company for three years a lot of people may think

that i'm just like attending events and hanging out with influencers all

that fun stuff but actually that's only like 10% of my job a lot of things

that i do is also heavy lifting also in my position

as a coordinator i of course coordinate a lot of stuff

so i thought a great way to show you what i

do for living is to take you guys along like every day is different

but i thought that today was a good day to film

because today i'm gonna do like a lot of things

that i usually do on a daily basis

or like just like on a weekly basis at least and then

vlogs on my tiktok i've done like a lot of a

day in a life as a pr girl living in copenhagen

or something like that

i started in the agency as a part-time pr assistant

and now i work as a full-time pr coordinator

and like what i mainly do is i do a lot of influencer like giftings

and collaborations and then i'm also pretty much in charge of the showroom i'm also in charge of our

so me clients it's like pretty much just like influencers

and social media i would say like

that sums up my job i guess i don't know why it's

so difficult to like sum up what i'm doing

but that's why i thought

that would be a greater way just to show you guys i will start packing my things and go to work

this is where i sit probably the messiest desk in this

room i'm alone at work i'm actually alone this whole week

so that's why i also thought it would be a great day to have you guys along

because then i could just talk as much as i want

today i'm having two meetings i have one who is going to be here in an hour

and then another one who's going to come by in two hours both of them are influencers

so we're going to have a little coffee and catch up

and also have a look at some of the new things

that we got here

but firstly i wanna write down a to-do list contact some influencers for a brand

and then we have a client who just launched a new collection

so i'm gonna contact also some influencers regarding

that new collection then i have requested some styles for some influencers

and i received them yesterday so today i'm gonna unpack them and send the things to the influencers.

I think that's like the main things I need to do today.

But as always, I start my day by checking Instagram for influencer clippings.

And I do that every day, also in the weekends.

First meeting is done.

In 15 minutes, I have another showroom meeting.

I thought I would do a little fit check My office outfit

Today I'm wearing like pinstripe baby trousers And then this pinstripe skirt

Then underneath I have just like a tank top And then my little t-shirt cardigan

And then my boots I need to write to some influencers regarding some gift things I'm gonna do that

Next thing I think I'm just gonna like explain everything I

do today To give you a better insight of my job The girls who stopped by today got some things

And to keep track of what things they got We write it all down in our little system

Now we have a new jewelry collection that we also need to push.

So again, contacting some influencers.

This time I'm just gonna contact them on Instagram.

So that's what I'm gonna do.

We got this package.

it's almost five since we last talk i have just been sitting on my computer and doing some emails

I thought it was time to talk to you about like how I got this job

because I get a lot of questions about this and of course I want to share my journey.

It can maybe be like a little bit of inspiration

or give you an insight to industry

and how you can be a part of it

and I also just want to say that every story

and every journey is different so it also takes a lot of work

and sacrifices doesn't come overnight at least it didn't for me i guess i should take you guys back to

when i was 14 because the thing is

that i always had like the desire to create and back

when i was 14

or maybe i was 13 maybe i started a youtube channel people in my class

and like basically just like on my school had a lot

to say about it i was never bullied for it

but i definitely got some comments but i guess that people noticed

that then i finished my gymnasium

and then i had this old friend from my previous school

that finished gymnasium a year before me

and she did an internship with a magazine she basically just reached out to me

and was like i know you're finishing school soon i have this internship do you want to take my place

when i'm done with it i'm so sweet of her

and i remember her saying that i know that you like fashion

because you post all these youtube videos

but then i got to the interview for the internship at this magazine i got the internship

and the internship was half a year

and then you got paid a very small amount

and this was like my first internship in like the fashion

industry i thought maybe i would have a day like in the movie the devil wears prada

and as you might can guess it was nothing like that

but it was still like so fun and i learned

so much i also developed a lot as a person i remember like my mom's friend telling my mom

that i became a lot more like outgoing i wasn't

so quiet anymore and i really think that it was the internship

that developed me personally so much

because all of this was like out of my comfort zone

and also doing my internship i also had the opportunity to attend Copenhagen fashion week for the first time

which were like surreal i really admired this whole industry

and this internship just it was kind of like a validation

that i need to work in this industry it is

so fun then also doing my internship I also got the opportunity to meet a lot of people in the industry.

Besides going to Fashion Week, I also had a lot of contact with different brands

and agencies and i've never heard of a pr agency before

and i think during my internship i got to speak

and work with like all the pr agencies in kobernhagen

and i did this internship as the first thing in my

gap year after i graduated gymnasium besides working full-time for the magazine i also worked as a sale assistant

because i needed more money

because i wanted to go for like a three-month vacation in asia

so i worked a lot in my weekends

and like late hours kind of a busy period

but like during this period i was never tired i had

so much energy because like the magazine gave me

so much energy just like seeing your name in a magazine

every week were just like crazy during my three months in

asia i also applied for school i applied for this school called copenhagen business academy

and i applied for this school because i knew

that i wanted to work with marketing and now i knew

that i wanted to work in the fashion industry and then

when i got home i had no job i still lived with my parents

and i still haven't heard from the school yet

but actually quite fast i got a job at a copenhagen fashion brand in their flagship store

and then i moved to copenhagen

and i got approved by the schools everything was great

so there were like a lot of new beginnings it was also in this period

that i got together with my boyfriend

and then in august it was copenhagen fashion week again last

season in february i attended with the magazine this time i

tried to attend by myself another first i just love looking

back at this time it was like such a good time everything was new and exciting

and then in the end of august i started my school

i started studying marketing management it was only a two-year study

so i get academic degree i think it's called then in

february i attended opening fashion week again i didn't really do

anything like fashion related as a job i still had the

job at the fashion brand in their flagship store i still

wanted to attend the company fashion week to keep in touch with the people

that i knew from my internship and also getting to know more people and like grow my network and then

covid came

and everything were just like on a pause i couldn't go

to work i couldn't go to class all my studies became

online then doing my studies i have to do an internship for three months

that was also basically the reason why i applied for this school

and i knew that i learned so much from my internship at the magazine

so i thought that i could do the same again

and find a new internship because in my experience i have learned

so much more like being in the field instead of just reading a book.

During my internship at the magazine, I knew a lot of PR agencies, so I started to apply to a lot of them.

And there was actually like one specific agency

that I remembered from my internship at the magazine that I thought was so cozy, like had such a great vibe.

So I contacted them and they told me that they didn't took in any interns.

Then I applied to some other places

and I ended up working for a new digital marketing agency

and I got hired as a digital marketing assistant

and I actually started my internship a bit earlier than I

had to for me three months didn't sound like a lot even though I had to do it unpaid

but I wanted to sacrifice that

and get some more work experience I ended up working for the agency for five months

and doing my internship I learned a lot about PR and social media

I got like to work with content creation and influencer marketing

and then right before my internship stopped the agency

that I contacted before the agency that I thought was very cute

and very cozy they contacted me and said

that they didn't have an internship place for me

but they had a shop opening so they asked me

if I wanted to come in and have a chat

and of course I was so thrilled

so of course I said yes yeah I was so happy and like being headhunted kinda

and like in this period I remember

that one of my friends told me like that I was

so lucky and yes I felt lucky too

but also I have done like two internships and I've built a network

and like hard work pays off

but basically I met up with the agency we had a

little chat I got the job three days after I stopped the internship I started at the agency

and surprise surprise the agency that hired me is the agency

that I'm working for now here I started as a PR assistant

so I worked here part-time because I still had to finish my studies

but I remember i was

so happy like just getting paid in this industry was kind of big for me then i finished my studies

and i remember i was so happy not

because i didn't like the school

or anything i don't think it was like creative enough for me

so i applied for a new school

that was like a more creative school to finish my bachelor i only had the academic

but unfortunately i didn't get in i remember i was quite all right with it

because i also debated like should i apply now

or should i just like apply next year maybe it would

be fun just to have like a year where i could just work a bit more

so yeah basically for a year i worked at the agency four days a week

and then at the store one to two times a week yeah then it was august again

and again it was copenhagen fashion week this time i didn't

attend as a guest i was more like behind the scenes

and experience like hosting events and it was also very fun

but i also remember i was so tired

because you still go to all the parties in the evening

but this time you have to wake up early

because you have to work

and then like eight months after i got hired at the pr agency i started working with some somi clients

and then i got promoted to pr and show me coordinator

and then again i applied for the school to get my bachelor degree i really did my best

and i also had help from my colleague

and from a person who have studied at the school before

but yeah again i didn't get in this was really like

a hard one for me to swallow like i never had

this form of rejection before like i know i was we gifted last year

but i was all right with it um

but like this time i really wanted to get in yeah

it kind of made me feel like a bit of a failure

but then as i didn't get into the school i then quit my job at the fashion store

and started working full-time at the pr agency

and yeah here i am i'm still working for the agency i have worked here for three years

and i have thought about

applying for the bachelor again

but i don't know maybe i just got scared after being rejected two times

and also i feel like you learned

so much more from being in the field than learning from a book that's my opinion at least

and if i should recommend you guys something it was to do an internship i know

that a lot of people think that it's stupid to work full-time for no money

but i've learned so much from my internships

and i would have never have gotten this job

if i didn't did my internship at the first place because

that was the way that i got in contact with the agency

and then another tip is network is everything be out there network with people maybe attend some open events

and like try to mingle with people anyways that's my story as i said in the beginning
