1
KSI is one of the world's most popular YouTubers,
2
but yesterday he accidentally exposed the pump and dump crypto scams that he promoted.
3
They've been hidden for two years,
4
but only came out when KSI logged back into his old Twitter account,
5
saying, does this still work?
6
Now if you didn't know,
7
this is KSI's crypto account where he used to talk about crypto coins he liked.
8
But he messed up, because one investigator has been waiting for him to return to the scene of the crime.
9
And that person is not me,
10
it's Zach XBT, a crypto investigator on Twitter who I'll link below because his work is incredible.
11
He's a friend of the show,
12
we've collaborated a lot, I just encourage you to go follow him.
13
But I was shocked when he said this.
14
In before he starts sharing garbage again,
15
dumping your tokens on Logan Paul's lapdog is permitted and encouraged.
16
Now many people, including myself,
17
hadn't seen anything from KSI to this point that seemed shady.
18
But Zach had been waiting for this moment.
19
He goes on,
20
Now, obviously I was stunned by this,
21
but looking at the date of when this all happened,
22
I realized Zack has been holding onto this piece of evidence,
23
waiting for KSI to come back to this account for years.
24
He had this tweet in the drafts and KSI logging back in activated the trap card.
25
Zach also shared a picture as proof,
26
series of transactions from KSI's wallet,
27
where starting on March 27th,
28
when he sent that tweet,
29
KSI started selling XCAD, the same day he tweeted he was part of the huddle game,
30
slang for someone who wouldn't sell this crypto coin, right?
31
In fact, that wasn't the only time KSI has mentioned this holding stance publicly.
32
I'm holding my bags.
33
I'm holding my Luna, my XCAD.
34
Videos like this are why people genuinely thought KSI was just buying and holding, but he wasn't.
35
This time, he sold.
36
And he tweeted again on March 30th, 2022.
37
Me looking at Zill and XCAD right now.
38
And it might look like that means he's excited about this,
39
but really he was looking at the sell button,
40
because he continued to sell XCAD to his fans who thought he was part of the HODL gang once again.
41
And this is what I mean by a pump and dump scam.
42
He got his followers excited while selling his own crypto back at the same time.
43
In total, over $800,000 was sold by KSI over a few days and these two tweets,
44
according to ZachXBT.
45
Now, as a quick aside,
46
if you're wondering or skeptical of the fact
47
that influencer tweets can have any kind of effect on a token price or volume,
48
I whipped up a chart for you,
49
showing volume of XCAD during the days when KSI tweeted.
50
You can see that trading volume spiked millions of dollars on those days,
51
which in part were some of his followers putting money in as he sold.
52
Today, the price of XCAD has plummeted from $3 to about $1.
53
Now, as always, with such large allegations,
54
I wanted to be sure to reach out to KSI to give him a chance to explain these large accusations.
55
After all, I didn't find this, Zach did.
56
So I reached out to KSI over Twitter and he gave me the following statement.
57
Hey bro, I mean, I'm still a HODL game, LMAO.
58
Sold some profit,
59
as well as my own money to put into Luna thinking I would profit more to buy back more XCAD
60
and took a major L.
61
fully believe in XCAD, the ability to earn from watching content.
62
Honestly, you should talk to Redacted.
63
He's very excited about this project.
64
I never left crypto.
65
I've just been watching it from the shadows.
66
It's kind of hard to leave when you've invested so many years into it.
67
So that's his statement.
68
He then shared a personal account screenshot showing that he does have some XCAD still held.
69
But while that's an interesting fact and an interesting explanation,
70
it doesn't really change the core accusation of whether he pumped and dumped his fans.
71
And I thought it was interesting KSI didn't deny the crypto wallet was his or that he made that amount of money.
72
He's just telling us, well,
73
I'm still hodling some of it,
74
just 800,000 of it I sold.
75
Now, to be honest, I don't buy this explanation for a second,
76
but I kind of was feeling like I had to leave the story there.
77
It felt like a one-off scam that I talk about on my new side channel,
78
CoffeeZilla Extras, but the story would die there.
79
But then I got another message,
80
which changed everything from Zach.
81
He said, I have one more KSI example with a different coin.
82
Turns out on March 20th,
83
2021, KSI tweeted this, two NFT coins I'm very bullish on, super and earn.
84
Any other NFTs I should look at?
85
Now normally when you're bullish on a coin you buy that coin,
86
but that's not what KSI did.
87
See right after he tweeted that,
88
six hours later, he sold a hundred
89
seventy four thousand dollars worth of EARN token and then four hours later sells another a hundred seventy four thousand dollars.
90
Now if that isn't a textbook pump and dump I don't know what is.
91
He tweeted, that's the pump,
92
within 24 hours He sells three hundred forty eight thousand dollars.
93
That's the dump It couldn't be more clear or so I thought
94
because I asked KSI about this
95
and that's where things got a bit muddy He says I
96
don't really remember the details of every transaction I made these
97
were coins I put my own money in thinking they would
98
do well I would listen to what people said on Twitter and just follow stuff.
99
I invested in doge etc I didn't have malicious intent in trying to scam.
100
I was new to crypto
101
So I was excited putting money in random things trying to chase the pumps
102
and ultimately lost heavily I hope people didn't take advice
103
or tweets as gold
104
because looking back at my track record I was effing dog I wish I was an evil genius
105
that would pump and dump at the right time
106
Because then at least people would say
107
that I had some wit about me reality is I was just at crypto And that's basically KSI's defense.
108
He was dumb.
109
He was bad at crypto But is that true?
110
Well, he says he put in two million dollars of his own money
111
and lost it all in the end He says quote,
112
I made zero profit on crypto in the end.
113
I lost it all on Luna.
114
Look, I haven't seen his accounts Maybe that's true either way even
115
if he is bad or dumb with crypto I just it doesn't explain the pump
116
and dumps like telling people you're bullish
117
and then selling is not explained by I Was new I was dumb
118
and I said as much I said I'm just trying to understand why you traded the opposite way
119
that you were saying on Twitter and KSI replied this,
120
Because I thought I was getting trolled.
121
Honestly, every time I tweeted something,
122
the opposite would happen on the market.
123
So I decided to tweet the opposite of what I was actually doing and still took an L.
124
So, just to be clear,
125
KSI's story that he's going with is that he thought the market was against him,
126
so he publicly said one thing while privately,
127
secretly doing the opposite, Which is kind of the definition of a pump
128
and dump when you promote that to a big audience.
129
You say you're gonna buy to your followers while secretly selling.
130
Whether or not it's a successful pump and dump,
131
whatever pump and dump, that's what it is.
132
Now look, I understand that people are gonna have conflicting ideas of whether this was malicious or not,
133
and I think it's gonna entirely depend on whether you think KSI's story makes sense.
134
I'm just trying to provide full context,
135
while also giving you my opinion on that,
136
which is that I don't really buy that he had no clue
137
that tweeting one thing would positively affect the price in his favor.
138
Meanwhile though, while I was confronting KSI,
139
I heard a final response from Zachxbt,
140
which I think moved the needle a bit.
141
He said, I found another example.
142
On May 11th, 2021, KSI Crypto tweeted,
143
this is about to explode.
144
Many moments later though, he sold $25,000.
145
Didn't buy it.
146
Which I get it, it's a relatively small amount,
147
but it furthers that same pattern of behavior.
148
It's just a matter of what you think that behavior was.
149
If you ask me,
150
I think KSI tried to use his influence to move the market for himself in crypto through a few pump and dumps.
151
He may have lost all his money eventually in a Ponzi scheme,
152
but that does not make what he did okay.
153
In fact, I think it's fair to say that a lot of his followers,
154
we saw that he influenced millions of dollars in trading volume,
155
went into some coins that are now doing very poorly.
156
But ultimately I think the true piece of cosmic irony for KSI here though,
157
is that he would have gotten away with all of this,
158
no one would have known about any of it,
159
if he just hadn't logged back into Twitter for one last spin at the slot machine.

What is the Shadowing Technique?

Shadowing is a science-backed language learning technique originally developed for professional interpreter training and popularized by polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. The method is simple but powerful: you listen to native English audio and immediately repeat it out loud — like a shadow following the speaker with just a 1–2 second delay. Unlike passive listening or grammar drills, shadowing forces your brain and mouth muscles to simultaneously process and reproduce real speech patterns. Research shows it significantly improves pronunciation accuracy, intonation, rhythm, connected speech, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency — making it one of the most effective methods for IELTS Speaking preparation and real-world English communication.
