Shadowing English A1 – Beginner Videos

A1 is where speaking starts. These videos use slow, clearly pronounced sentences about greetings, numbers, family, food and daily routines, built on the few hundred words you need first. Play one sentence, pause, and repeat it out loud. Slow the speed down when a sentence feels fast, and loop it until the sounds feel natural in your mouth.

Keep sessions short: ten focused minutes a day beats one long session a week. Pair your practice with the IPA pronunciation course to learn the individual sounds, and try shadowing videos for kids for extra-simple, cheerful content. When you can follow most sentences without slowing down, move up to A2 videos.
