Today I'm in Ho Chi Minh City, specifically District 2, and I've got some errands to run.

I'm going to bring you guys along

and I'm going to show you some key words in English and explain them as I go to my next destination, which is the mall.

So on this road I'm on, there is a lot of construction happening right now.

It's Friday I'm on the sidewalk now and here we have a bus stop.

So it looks like there's some sort of

power on this bus stop maybe to give you light

or maybe there's some sort of air conditioning there that would be crazy.

But it is quite busy today a lot of cars and bikes on the road

and actually over there it says animal doctor that is a vet office so that is a place where sick animals,

your cats, your dogs, your bunny, or many different types of animals.

If they're sick, they're injured, or you want to get them checked out, you bring them to the vet or veterinarian or animal doctor,

and they will take care of your animal.

While I'm walking to the mall, I'm also on the lookout for some place to eat lunch.

It is just after 12 right now, and I'm a little bit hungry want to eat something as well i just squeezed through

that lidded gap there these are concrete structures

that i'm guessing are going to be used for the construction that is going on on this road

but for now they're on the sidewalk taking up a lot of space

but that's okay

because i'm sure the construction will be over quick anyway it got surprisingly quiet i'm about to turn the bend

going down towards the mall it's about a 15 20 minute walk

but today is not very hot

so it's actually kind of enjoyable to be walking out

and getting some fresh air the district i'm in district two is a really nice

and livable area there's a lot of greenery you can see here a lot of plants

and there's also a very large expat community that means there's a lot of foreigners that live

in this neighborhood here we have a very large school

so it's called the british international school i've heard a lot about this school

and it's for grade school so it's not a university it's for younger kids

and it is a private school

so it's one of the best schools in ho chi minh city

and it is very popular i don't know

if you can see it on camera but because of all this construction and

dirt that they put on the ground there's a lot of dust in the air very dusty along this road

and you can see it's getting all over the tables

and chairs and trees that are along this side of the road

so it's a lot of work to keep it clean see

some more dust there it's a lot of work to keep it clean

and keep your business looking nice if it's along this side of the road here you can

There's some concrete and then they are redoing the road right over there

so you can see the dirt and some of the bricks have been laid out.

I have to walk pretty much on the road to be able to continue down this path.

You can see they're putting the curb in actually

so this side is finished and this side just has the mold to pour the concrete.

So once it's all done they'll take out these wooden pieces and just the concrete curb will be left.

the worst of it this section right here it looks like over there it gets a lot cleaner

and there's no construction so hopefully it's not as dusty

because i am breathing in a lot of dust right now

okay i'm back on a nice sidewalk now well nice enough there are parts that are missing

north east west direction you can go pretty directly to the water but there are also a lot of

gated communities like this you can't go in there unless you have special permission

there's a lot of wealthy gated communities here especially along the river

that are blocked off the regular people like me but sometimes there are businesses inside of those gated communities

So I went to a capybara cafe in one of these gated communities and it was really cool.

You can check out my short form video on that on my account but I really liked it.

In this neighborhood there are also a lot of small stores, independent stores.

They call boutique stores.

So they have boutique clothing stores, boutique restaurants, boutique cafes.

like mcdonald's or starbucks it's a small business also i've actually eaten at

that restaurant it's called eddie's and it's an american style diner

and it's funny that i'm talking about them now

because tomorrow is fourth of july so eddie's

and a bunch of different american restaurants are going to be

having fourth of july celebrations i'm probably going to be going to a fourth of july fun.

It's kind of like a barbecue festival like you would see in the USA

but it is in Vietnam so I want to see how they do it differently.

Fourth of July is also known as an Independence Day.

So just like Canada has July 1st Canada Day, Fourth of July is an Independence Day.

And let me know guys, let me know in the comment when is your country's Independence Day if it has one.

Some countries

lot of countries that were colonized have an independence day here's an interesting building

the german dental clinic it is a massive building

oh and i think it's also an international school

so it's just another example of the foreign influence in this district

so there's just so many foreigners expats that come and other foreigners that are living here as well.

Another big influence is Korea.

So that was a Korean market.

There's a lot of Koreans living in District 2 and I'm actually happy about that because I love Korean food.

They have some of the best cuisine in the world in my opinion and I could eat kbbq,

Korean fried chicken, kimchi any day of the week.

Okay I think I found where I'm either Burger King or Popeyes.

I'm gonna go check out their menus.

Okay so I've ordered my meal.

This is my receipt and they give me a cup to fill up my drink.

I also got some ketchup and I'm just gonna wait for them to bring it out to me.

So I ended up going with Burger King.

I feel like a good hamburger.

Well, good hamburger.

It's not the best.

But the price to quality ratio is a really good really good.

So I'm gonna enjoy it and I'm gonna make my way to the mall.

I'm not that far.

Maybe five minutes away.

Okay here we go.

I've got my meal.

This is my hamburger.

It's a cheese hamburger.

These are french fries.

They're nice and crispy and these are cheese sticks or mozzarella sticks.

finished eating lunch it was pretty good the cheese sticks could have been better

and the fries were really good i always liked those big chunky fries unlike those thin little strips

that they give you at mcdonald's but anyway that building was two stories

so there was a staircase to get up and down

and going down i realized how sore i am from yesterday so yesterday It was really fun,

but I sweat a lot and exercise really hard.

So my legs are sore, my feet are sore, and that staircase really reminded me how sore I am.

So hopefully with more consistent pickable practice, I'll be a lot less sore.

so this is the mall it's a very large rectangular building and they actually display

the stores outside so they have the caffalon muji and a few other stores i'm actually going to muji

So this is the third bottle I bought and I'm going to continue to keep buying them.

Okay so I bought my stuff.

I only ended up buying the shampoo and the toothpaste because I could not find the shaving gel.

So I'm going to go to another store for that.

So the store I'm planning to go to is called the Wind Mart.

It's a grocery store but like most grocery stores it has a pharmacy area and they'll have some shaving cream.

And then at Muji got a refill of shampoo and some toothpaste.

So let's go put this all the way in the bathroom. So here's the bathroom.

You can see I was really low on shampoo.

And then my shaving cream, I'm going to put behind the mirror. in the shelf.

It's exactly like what I showed you at the Muji store and then here is the refill.

So I'm going to just rip the tip off and try to carefully refill this Shampoo perfect.
