Tell me why, in high school,
2
every time I would leave the classroom,
3
it could be any period,
4
any time of the day,
5
you step out the classroom and it was always the same 7 kids out there wandering around the hallways.
6
You got the absentee avengers out here posted up.
7
In fact, if you didn't see one of the regulars out there,
8
you wouldn't even think they were in class,
9
you just assumed they were at home that day.
10
How are you gonna show up absent for being absent?
11
And you already know, they got the worst,
12
most non-believable excuses ready to go for Or when the golf car security pulls up on them.
13
Other than that, they're trying to sneak around the hallways.
14
They were really out here playing real life Pac-Man.
15
And they were always just randomly spawning outside your class.
16
You'd see them through the little window,
17
staring at the class on the other side with a devious grin.
18
Like why are you never in class bro?
19
And everyone sees them but the teacher.
20
The teacher would take forever to catch on talking about what are you guys all looking at?
21
Although I can't lie, if you were ever wandering the halls,
22
it was just something about walking past the classroom and you see the homie inside,
23
you just had to go up to the window and cause a disturbance.
24
Something on the inside would feel incomplete if you didn't.
25
I remember I took this class called Media one year.
26
It was in one of the school's computer labs and the whole class,
27
every day, was basically a do whatever you want on the computers for an hour type of class.
28
There was definitely never homework.
29
In fact, at least once a week,
30
the teacher, he would just throw up a movie on the projector,
31
call it a day, so nobody was skipping that class.
32
I mean you were already skipping class just by signing up for that class.
33
And so what it turned into was the class
34
that everybody else who skipped class would just congregate in to have a place to chill.
35
Especially because the teacher, he did not care at all.
36
He would let whoever come through.
37
Anybody and everybody.
38
No questions asked.
39
All he was concerned with was pressing play on Shrek and then relaxing himself.
40
That's crazy.
41
I've never seen a teacher skip his own class before.
42
Shout out to bro.
43
But there were random kids in that class every day.
44
I'd walk in and wonder,
45
you know, who's going to show up today?
46
Only class I've seen with 110% attendance rate.
47
So them hallway hoppers, that was their HQ.
48
It was the hall roamer convention every day in that room.
49
But the most wild skipping class incident I have ever witnessed,
50
which blew my mind when I saw this.
51
And this goes way beyond just simply skipping class
52
because in high school I played golf for the school right
53
and one day we had a golf match against a prison school
54
which is kind of a wild situation to begin with
55
because my school is one of the smaller ones in the district
56
so I guess they put us in the prison school in the same division.
57
So we were hitting the course with kids
58
that were doing grand theft auto and grand larceny and things of
59
that nature and it was on that day I found out the prison school even had a golf team.
60
So we pull up to the course right we get in our groups
61
and start the match and in the group that I was playing with,
62
it was myself and my teammate,
63
a kid from a third school,
64
and then a kid from the prison school,
65
and his name was Bruno.
66
And this match, I remember we were playing way on this far out remote course,
67
somewhere in the middle of the desert,
68
took us forever to get there,
69
so we were out in the boonies.
70
And the way these golf matches worked is they didn't give us golf carts,
71
so instead you would walk the whole course with your group,
72
and the coaches would stop by maybe once every 30 minutes just to check in,
73
watch a couple shots, and then drive off to a different group.
74
So aside from that, nobody else was really watching you,
75
it was just you and your group walking in this huge field of grass and dirt out in the middle of nowhere.
76
So we're golfing with Bruno
77
and look I don't know what bro did to find himself incarcerated
78
but he was a cool guy at least on that day and he was telling us all about jail school.
79
He's like yeah the only reason I even joined the golf team was
80
so I could leave that place and be out on the outside for once.
81
Now we're like 45 minutes into the match we're on maybe the fourth hole
82
when Bruno is like yeah anyways guys I wish you all the best in life But as for me, I'm out.
83
And then proceeded to drop his bag of clubs in the dirt and just started walking away.
84
And he just kept walking and walking and walking until he disappeared.
85
Bro literally disappeared into the horizon.
86
The three of us are standing there looking at each other like ain't no way.
87
But could you blame him?
88
This man saw his chance for freedom and took it.
89
Forget about skipping class.
90
This man skipped the entire prison sentence.
91
Not gonna lie though, they probably found him like two days later at a Burger King
92
or something at which point he was most likely promptly removed from the golf team
93
and to be honest they might have just removed the golf team as a whole at
94
that point because after that incident they did not show up on the schedule again.
95
I remember my senior year of high school I only had three classes left
96
that I needed to graduate
97
but I guess they had a bare minimum amount of hours you had to be at school every day
98
so they had me choose a couple filler classes to make those hours up.
99
So my friend Omar, who was in the same situation,
100
and myself decided to take gym class as one of our filler classes.
101
Now, once the school year started,
102
we found out that our gym period was the period right before lunch.
103
And the problem with that was that the gym was on the direct opposite corner of the entire campus from the cafeteria.
104
Like out of every singular building,
105
these were the two that were the furthest apart from each other.
106
So of course, that meant that our entire class would be getting to the cafeteria, dead last.
107
We'd pull up, the line is out the doors,
108
and then by the time you did get to the front,
109
all the somewhat tolerable food was gone and you'd be stuck with mystery meet surprise,
110
and then you spent so long waiting in line anyways,
111
half your lunch was over by the time you did get your food.
112
It was just an all around bad situation.
113
So after many times of going through that,
114
our class, we got fed up.
115
We start thinking and plotting.
116
How can we start skipping out on gym class early
117
so we can get a head start on this walk across the entire campus to the cafeteria,
118
get some decent food.
119
You know, you finish gym class then you still have the cross country component.
120
They really put a bonus round on the end.
121
But the thing with gym class is the teacher sent us
122
back to the locker rooms the last 10 minutes of the period to change in shower
123
so it would actually be pretty easy to leave early straight from the locker room except for the fact
124
that after we did this a couple of times,
125
our gym teacher, she starts to catch on and she did not like that.
126
So she put a stop to that immediately,
127
said she was going to start handing out lunch detentions to anybody who tried to skip out of the locker room early.
128
She actually created a rule,
129
she allowed us to step outside the locker room,
130
but there were these water fountains on the wall.
131
She said
132
if she ever caught anybody past the water fountains before the
133
bell dismissed us then you could forget about any lunch at all
134
because you were gonna spend your whole lunch period in lunch detention.
135
And so she would watch us.
136
But she wouldn't be watching us every single second
137
because she would be in the girls locker room 50 yards down the sidewalk.
138
However, she would pop her head out of their door but at random moments,
139
you know, do a quick look around just to make sure everybody was behind her water fountain line.
140
So if you were bold enough,
141
you could try and make a run for it could risk it for the biscuit, literally.
142
Now, if you thought you could time it correctly,
143
you had to sprint out past the water fountains,
144
past the girls' locker room,
145
without her popping her head out and doing a random check.
146
The problem was, even after you crossed the long sidewalk,
147
you still weren't done, because then there was this little parking lot area they kept these little buses at,
148
which was still in view from the locker room.
149
So you had to make your way through all of that,
150
and then after the buses,
151
the hallway started it up again and you could disappear into there and you'd be safe.
152
It was like a three-legged thing
153
because there were definitely a few kids who tried to make a run for it and got caught right in the act.
154
I remember one time this one kid he was fed up he's like whatever I'm just gonna book it.
155
This man starts flying down the sidewalk he's making his way through the buses
156
and he was so close to freedom at
157
which point she cracked open the door swiveled her head around caught him right in the act.
158
She yelled loud down the sidewalk told him he could turn around
159
and run right back and he spent his lunch in lunch detention.
160
So it was basically all or nothing.
161
You either escape and have a good lunch or get caught and get no lunch.
162
It was like playing roulette with your lunch period.
163
But I remember one day came around.
164
It was like a Friday,
165
only a month before the school year ended.
166
There was a group of like 15 of us that were thinking about just running for it.
167
We're looking out at the journey ahead,
168
trying to assess the risk.
169
But we were just fed up.
170
So everybody agreed you know what let's just all make a run for it together
171
so we were either all getting caught or all getting away
172
so we're there by the water fountain keeping an eye on
173
that locker room door and we decide
174
that on the count of three we're just gonna book it sprint for dear life
175
and hope we make it to the hallways
176
so we all get ready omar was there lined up to the right
177
and this one kid he counts down from three
178
and we all just start sprinting
179
so we're running running down the sidewalk there were a few
180
people in front of me a few people behind me
181
so i passed the locker room door which was checkpoint number one
182
and I'm not gonna lie not even two seconds after I passed
183
that door it was a big heavy metal door right I hear it crack open it was loud
184
when it opened I didn't even look I just heard it
185
I was like oh nah we failed the mission this was a horrible idea
186
and I don't know about whoever was behind me
187
but I was right next to the buses at this point so I hopped behind one of those.
188
Omar was right there as well so he got behind one to the left
189
and I just hoped that we were quick enough
190
that she didn't see us and I was feeling pretty hopeful
191
that she didn't because I can't see anything but I hear her.
192
She starts yelling at all the individuals that were stuck out in the open and yeah she was off of something different.
193
She's going crazy.
194
She was out for blood yelling.
195
She's like everybody up against the wall.
196
You're all getting lunch detention.
197
One kid, he just kept on running.
198
I think he figured, hey,
199
the year is over in three weeks.
200
I'm just going to keep going.
201
Took a page out of Bruno's playbook.
202
But everybody else caught a bad break.
203
So I'm behind the bus listening to all the commotion.
204
She's yelling at everybody to get up against the wall.
205
Now, at this point, I decide to peek around the corner of the bus just to get a visual of the situation.
206
And I remember there was a portable storage unit in front of the girl's locker room right there.
207
Some kid was trying to hide behind that, but she was smart.
208
She noticed him.
209
She saw his shadow sticking out from it,
210
checked behind it, caught him,
211
had him line up against the wall.
212
And so I'm there, stuck, hiding behind this bus.
213
The hallway is too out in the open to try and run over there,
214
but I'm feeling like I'm safe at this point.
215
I'm just hoping she doesn't see my feet beneath the bus or something and I get found out like storage unit kid.
216
I look over at Omar he's standing there frozen looking dead straight ahead.
217
I swear he had a drop of sweat falling down the side of his head.
218
And so she had like eight or nine people rounded up against the wall
219
and she's yelling at them going crazy when I decide to take a second peek around the corner.
220
And I'm looking around the bus
221
when one of my classmates came out of the girls locker room probably to see what all the commotion was.
222
And as I'm watching the teacher go in on everybody this
223
girl notices me peeking around the bus made direct eye contact with each other.
224
So we both noticed each other
225
and then she snitched on me threw me under the bus
226
no pun intended she's like miss teacher you missed somebody look at him over there
227
and so now she already knew so i had to give myself up at
228
that point before she started walking over there and found omar too
229
because he was still cool behind his spot
230
but me myself i had to give myself up got in line next to all the other delinquents
231
and that's what i get for being curious
232
so yeah i think a couple people made it to the hallways omar was able to stay hidden
233
but the rest of us mission failed in catastrophic fashion and
234
that kid that ran away anyways i don't know what the plan was there
235
because he still had to come back to class after the weekend him
236
and bruno are not slick
237
but yeah that's all for this video guys i appreciate the
238
wait on your guys's part for this one these past months
239
i've been working to solidify a team to help with the videos
240
so that's what i've been up to but i will say i do have another video in the vault ready to go.
241
So that one will probably be out within a couple weeks of this one.
242
So as always, thank you guys for watching.
243
