1
Let's talk about six things you should do every day if you want to become fluent in English.
2
My name is Michael Anton.
3
I'm the founder of English at the Ready,
4
and it's my goal to make you fluent in English.
5
Now, I know that learning a language can sometimes feel overwhelming.
6
There are so many things you have to focus on.
7
Grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, the list goes on.
8
But if you focus on these six simple habits every single day,
9
I promise you, you will see real progress.
10
I've seen so many students make huge improvements in their English just by following these six simple steps.
11
Let's dive right into today's video and talk about the first thing you need to do every day,
12
which is to speak.
13
Yeah, you need to speak English.
14
English.
15
I know that sounds obvious but so many students spend hours studying grammar or reading textbooks and they forget to actually speak.
16
Speaking is the number one most important thing you need to do if you want to become fluent.
17
You will never get comfortable speaking English if you don't practice regularly.
18
Even if you're at home you can still practice.
19
Try reading out loud or talking to yourself.
20
Imagine you're having a conversation and respond to yourself.
21
It might feel a little strange at first,
22
but it's a great way to practice.
23
You can also use language exchange apps to talk to other learners
24
or even to find friends who are willing and able to practice with you.
25
If you don't have anyone to talk to, don't worry.
26
Try speaking in front of a mirror.
27
Look at yourself in the mirror and say things in English.
28
It will build your confidence and help you focus on your pronunciation and also your delivery.
29
Next up, set your phone and your computer to English.
30
This might sound simple but it's a powerful way to immerse yourself in the language.
31
Think about it.
32
Your phone is something you use all the time.
33
Why not take advantage of that time and learn English as well?
34
When When you set your devices to English,
35
you start seeing English everywhere.
36
English is the first thing you see in the morning when you wake up and when you check your phone.
37
Why not make that the start of your English practice as soon as you wake up in the morning?
38
Plus, you'll get used to everyday words and phrases that native speakers see and use.
39
You can also change the language settings in other apps.
40
For example, if you're active on Instagram or Facebook or Twitter,
41
this is a great option.
42
Follow English-speaking accounts.
43
You can follow me on Instagram or TikTok or Facebook.
44
My username is English at the Ready.
45
But of course, there are lots of celebrities or influencers who post in English.
46
Now, number three on our list is to listen to English.
47
And I don't just mean by watching movies.
48
I mean listening to English throughout the day even when you're not actively studying.
49
This is one of the best ways to improve your listening skills without even trying.
50
You can listen to podcasts,
51
to audiobooks, or even my videos in the background while you're doing other things like cooking,
52
cleaning, or maybe you're driving or commuting to work or school in the morning.
53
The key here is to be consistent.
54
The more you listen, the more natural English will start to sound to you.
55
I recommend podcasts because they're often conversational,
56
so they can help you with real-life English.
57
You can also listen to podcasts about topics you're interested in,
58
whether that's technology, sports, travel, or culture.
59
This way, you're learning English in a way that's fun,
60
and it keeps you engaged.
61

68
and it will give you some valuable insights on how how to take of technology to learn English.
69
Alright, moving on to number four.
70
Practice pronunciation in front of the mirror.
71
Now I mentioned practicing speaking in front of the mirror,
72
but you should also focus on pronunciation.
73
English has quite a few sounds that might be very different from your native language.
74
For example, the th sound,
75
the v sound, or the w sound,
76
or even the difference between short and long vowel sounds.
77
For example, ship and sheep.
78
Ship and sheep.
79
They sound very similar, but they're completely different.
80
With the word ship, your mouth is closed,
81
and with the word sheep, your mouth is stretched.
82
Look in the mirror, try saying these words,
83
and watch your mouth to see how it moves.
84
Ship and sheep.
85
This is a great way to check and to improve your pronunciation.
86
You can also imitate native speakers.
87
Watch videos, movies, or even my lessons here on YouTube,
88
and repeat what a native speaker says.
89
Look at how they're moving their mouth,
90
look at how they're stressing words,
91
look at how they're linking sounds together.
92
Now number five is to journal every day.
93
I'm not saying you need to write a novel,
94
but keeping a small daily journal in English can make a big difference.
95
Every day, try writing down what you did,
96
how you're feeling, or what you're thinking, all in English.
97
Even if it's just one or two paragraphs,
98
this is going to go a long way to helping you get used to expressing your thoughts on paper,
99
to structuring sentences, and to using vocabulary in conversation.
100
Practice writing things down even if it's just five to ten minutes every day.
101
You can write about your day,
102
what you ate for lunch,
103
or maybe if you had an interesting conversation,
104
and over time you'll be able to compare your writing from months ago with today,
105
and you'll see that your writing is slowly improving and that you're able to use new vocabulary.
106
And last but not least,
107
if you can speak with a native English speaker.
108
I know this can sound intimidating for a lot of students,
109
but it's one of the fastest ways to improve your fluency.
110
It's okay to make mistakes.
111
Native speakers make mistakes too.
112
So don't feel shy, don't feel embarrassed.
113
Now lots of people tell me,
114
Michael, I don't have any native speakers to talk to.
115
Well, you can try language exchange apps.
116
There are lots of different apps out there that you can try where you speak their language.
117
I also recommend looking at Facebook groups,
118
especially for expats in your city.
119
There might be Americans, Canadians,
120
Brits who have moved to your city who want to make new friends and who you can practice English with.
121
And of course, if you want to take lessons with me and my team,

and it will force you to think faster in English and to become more confident.
125
So there you have it.
126
Six simple things you can do every day to become fluent in English.
127
I know a lot of these tips sound obvious at first,
128
but remember it's the combination of several things that makes all the difference.
129
and it's about doing them every day.
130
It's about being consistent, making these habits a part of your daily life.
131
Start small, but stay consistent.
132
Little by little, you'll see progress,
133
and before you know it,
134
you'll be speaking English with confidence.

Guida Passo-passo per il Shadowing

Per affrontare le difficoltà di apprendimento dell'inglese, l'approccio dello shadowing in inglese è altamente consigliato. Ecco come puoi procedere:
