Pratica di Shadowing: Why does the Adaptive Cruise Control let go? - Impara a parlare inglese con i video

Creazione lezione...
1
Hey, 4xe fans.
2
I've had a curiosity for a long time about the cruise control, the adaptive cruise control, if you have that.
3
And I've been curious as to why, if you're in a traffic jam like I am right now,
4
and you pull up behind a vehicle and the Jeep comes to a complete stop, eventually you'll get a little message on the window saying,
5
you know, get ready to take over because I'm letting go.
6
And I've always found that curious.
7
Like that seems like a safety issue.
8
Like why did they do that?
9
Well, it turns out I was doing some reading.
10
Turns out it's actually more of a safety thing to turn things,
11
to make the driver take back over than it is for the adaptive cruise control to hold.
12
And the reason why is the older 4xe's, I couldn't find a lot of good information, but it seemed like it might be all four by ease
13
but it might be up through the 23 model year use a radar
14
and i always thought it was just like a vision system
15
but apparently there's radar involved and
16
if you don't understand how radar works there's doppler shift
17
and it's kind of like when you're outside
18
and you hear a siren like an ambulance coming towards you
19
and a siren you know like the pitch gets higher
20
and then as it goes away the pitch gets lower that's
21
because of doppler shift this the sound waves get compressed as it's getting closer to you
22
and then they're more stretched out as it's going away same thing happens with the adaptive cruise control in
23
that it has it depends on that doppler shift to know
24
if it's getting closer or farther away from a vehicle
25
if you are just sitting still then the uh the system
26
becomes less trustworthy is the way the way it was i read it in
27
that it just becomes less reliable to just sit there
28
and hold it than if it's actually moving
29
and causing doppler shift in one direction or another so i found
30
that really interesting and just wanted to share that i just thought
31
that was odd that i'd never figured out the answer to that before now thanks for watching

Cosa imparerai

Ascolta questi suoni
