I'm feeling so cozy and chatty today.

I'm back home in Minnesota, as you can probably tell, because I don't have a car in New York.

I'm outside one of my favorite local coffee shops.

It's called Vandella.

And I brought a book with me, specifically this one, which you know what?

I'm going to save this to tell you guys about because I have a lot of thoughts to share.

I don't know why it took me so long to start this book.

Oh, this is a bill.

That is my bookmark.

Hopefully my address isn't showing.

It is so good.

I am only about a fourth of the way through, but I did just buy this last night.

So sometimes I find it really hard to get engaged in a book right away.

My attention span is just unfortunately not the best.

Something about this is so intriguing and it's kind of making me rediscover a love for reading.

My friend told me that the movie was coming out

so I was like I have to read it before I see the movie in a week or so.

I love this cafe everyone is

so nice i really think there is truth to the whole minnesota nice thing like

when i walk in a store or something

and i make eye contact with someone i think it's more normal to smile here

but when i moved to new york and i would do

that and i would smile at people everyone like looked at me like i was kind of weird

so i stopped doing it um anyways it is just the cute coziest little cafe ever

okay i am on my way to a very important lunch

meeting actually can someone guess before i say who do you

think i'm meeting okay i'm just gonna say it i'm meeting

with rachel obviously the ogs know rachel is my best friend

from minnesota living far away from each other now whenever we meet up we always just have

so much to catch up on so i'm so excited to see her

and i'm excited for you guys to see her hey guys

look who i'm with we just had our panera it was

great classic place we get food at a lot our minnesota

staple i should put a picture of us in the middle right here oh my gosh

so earlier when i was driving i drove past the sign that said that my city was having like a market fest.

Kind of a rarity.

I've honestly never heard of them doing this but I'm really curious.

I have no idea if it's like food or like craft art stuff.

My mom's with me.

She's hidden.

This is all you get.

So the market is in this hockey arena.

All the vendors are lined up and it's so cute look i think my mom's buying a candle

i'm in my room this is the room that i stay in

when i come home i always go back

and forth in my head about where i want to end up living

and sometimes i think it's minnesota and then other times i'm like no it's not

but my family's here

so i don't know i constantly have this like dilemma with

myself I feel weirdly guilty for not living close to my family it really weighs on me

and to be honest like my family doesn't make me feel bad about it at all they're

so supportive but it is really hard as you get older

and I feel like I just miss miss out on

so many things

that I don't want to moving to New York people always

said was a big adjustment I'd say the first year

and a half it was really tough

and it's just such a different city to get acclimated to

but now I don't know I feel like i think i might stay for a

while that's been sort of a big life change

and i think i'm gonna renew my lease i guess i also have to catch you guys up on

that i also went through a breakup a couple months ago

i think i really went through my healing pretty privately obviously

it's not something i like want to share details about online ever breakups are really hard especially

when you're in a serious relationship in your mid to late 20s i was grieving not only the person

but the future that i always envisioned and thought

that i had with them i think one of the biggest

things i struggled with with the breakup is not being able to have the timeline

that i wanted on social media i was actually just talking about this with rachel

but when you're going through something like a breakup

and to see engagement posts on instagram especially when you know

that that's something that you want for your future but the pressures of social media definitely

make it feel like you're running out of time although i know that that's not the truth that I am still young, I think it's really easy to let the pressure of social media get to me.

So I'm just trying to enjoy being single and living in New York.

I didn't think I'd be living there still, but I think I've sort of found like a deeper, even newfound appreciation for it.

But that's my update.

I didn't really want to talk about it when I was super fresh

and I was actually grieving it and going through it.

So it is a pretty big update in my life.

And it kind of felt weird to not tell you guys what I was kind of going through.

I always want to be real and honest in myself

and not sugarcoat everything anyways rant over hey guys good morning good afternoon

family road trip up north in minnesota we're going to lutzen

for the locals who might recognize we're going at peak season
