1
Uploading twice a month used to be a grind for me.
2
My business was growing slowly.
3
My channel was stagnating.
4
And I just thought I lacked the discipline.
5
Every single year would start and I would say, this is going to be the year where I upload 52 times.
6
I'm going to upload once for every single week of the year.
7
And I'd get to the end of the year and I would have uploaded 30 times.
8
year upon year upon year and I knew
9
that uploading to YouTube was the one thing that was going to grow my business faster.
10
I knew if I doubled my uploads I could double my business
11
and that was the most simple way to grow it but I just couldn't do it.
12
In the last 60 days I've uploaded 40 videos and I didn't suddenly become more disciplined or suddenly have more willpower.
13
I'm changed as a person.
14
I've just done two very simple things.
15
The first one is I made a decision to upload so frequently
16
that it would force me to change how I approach YouTube.
17
I realized the answer wasn't to become somebody who could very consistently and slowly show up.
18
That's just not how I work apparently.
19
It was actually to set an upload schedule so aggressive
20
that I had to change everything else that I was doing to meet the upload schedule.
21
The second thing was Through having to meet the upload schedule,
22
I forced myself to come up with new systems to be able to meet the demands of my upload schedule.
23
And it was only in that place of deep action and experimentation
24
that I then learned that everything I'd been doing before was so pointless and so slow.
25
it would take me two weeks to plan, record and edit a video ready for upload and that video would get 4,000 views.
26
Now it takes me three hours and the videos get at least 4,000 views if not more.
27
My channel has grown faster than ever and YouTube feels so much more effortless.
28
And so the first thing to realize here is that it's not you.
29
It's not your discipline.
30
It's not your willpower.
31
You don't need more of that.
32
The problem is that you have a process and a system that isn't working for you right now.
33
If you aren't uploading as much as you want, that is the thing in between you and your YouTube and business dreams.
34
Because you uploading frequently is going to be the thing that gets you YouTube and business results.
35
That's it.
36
If you are, especially in the early stages, and you're not uploading frequently, you're not going to get in the reps that you need to learn in public and experiment in public.
37
So this should be your number one priority upload consistently at least once a week.
38
Once a week is like the benchmark, but ideally I think you want to be aiming for two or three times a week.
39
And it's the same if you're in an intermediate stage, right?
40
If you've already got something that's working for you and you've got clients coming in through your channel, well, if you double or triple your uploads, you will probably double and triple your business.
41
That's what happened to me last month.
42
And so that's the first thing to realize.
43
Stop blaming yourself and focus on upgrading your systems and your processes.
44
The other thing pertains to this whole mindset and shift where I say, right, I'm going to upload so frequently that it changes how I even approach YouTube.
45
And that is from a book called 10X versus 2X.
46
And the idea there behind that is that if you want to 2X your business and 2X your channel,
47
then you probably just need to do a bit more of everything.
48
You might upload a bit more or you might make your videos a bit better, and that's gonna 2x 2x stuff.
49
But if you want to 10x things, so you want to 10x your YouTube results or 10x your business results,
50
you're going to have to fundamentally change how you approach YouTube in business.
51
Like if you just do that thought experiment right now, how would you 10x your YouTube in business?
52
You'd have to do shit very differently.
53
You have to spend your time in a completely different way.
54
And that's why if you set yourself an upload schedule that is by all means, by all intents and purposes, it's kind of freakish.
55
That could be the thing that switches you out of the current mentality that's keeping you stuck
56
and into a way more efficient process that grows everything so much faster.
57
Either way, whether you're choosing to go 10x and do a crazy experiment,
58
or if you just decide to improve your system and cut out the unnecessary fat and 80-20 up in that mofo,
59
then you need to focus on improving the system.
60
The system is the thing that's holding you back.
61
Stop blaming yourself.
62
Blaming yourself is going to get you nowhere and just upgrade that bad boy.
63
I've got the video outlining my system, which will give you ideas on how you can tweak your own process.
64
I'm also right in the middle of launching the three-hour YouTube system, which is available now.
65
That is in the description below.
66
It's a six-week program where I'll walk you through the whole
67
process of uploading way more frequently with a way better system that is more fun, more enjoyable, and grows your business much faster coming at you from my favorite tree.
68
Stay creative.
69
Bye-bye.

특히 "I just couldn't do it"처럼 일상에서 자주 사용하는 표현이 많아 IELTS 스피킹 준비에도 도움이 됩니다.

  • "Uploading twice a month used to be a grind for me." - "used to be a grind"는 "예전에는 힘든 일이었어"라는 뜻으로, 일상적인 불편함을 간결하게 표현합니다.
  • "I didn't suddenly become more disciplined or suddenly have more willpower." - "suddenly"
  • "Stop blaming yourself and focus on upgrading your systems and your processes."

Repeat-and-Record

특히 "it would take me two weeks"처럼 연결된 발음(연음)을 주의깊게 들으세요. 3.
