45
This is called a thumb.
46
a thumb.
47
and this is my hand You can see I kind of do need to cut my fingernails.
48
They have gotten a little long, so I will probably cut them.
49
right?
50
Now.
51
Okay guys, these right here are nail clippers nail clippers and you use these to cut your fingernails.
52
your fingers, your fingernails.
53
your hand, your arm.
54
Your elbow.
55
your shoulder your bicep, your tricep, your knuckles, your wrist, This part right here, this is your wrist.
56
and then obviously Everyone has hair on their arms.
57
Anyways, I'm gonna cut my nails now.
58
I'm only gonna cut one because I don't want to make a mess.
59
I'll go downstairs and cut the rest over the trash can, but I'll just cut one here for you guys.
60
I guess I'll cut my fingernail on my thumb.
61
So I have my fingernails and I'm gonna go throw these in the garbage.
62
But I just cut my fingernails with my nail clippers.
63
You can also cut your toenails.
64
You call these nails your toenails and these ones your fingernails.
65
Toenails and fingernails.
66
Okay guys, so now I'm gonna put my shoes on I'm sliding my feet into my shoes.
67
and you can see there is a curtain here and this curtain is just blocking the door.
68
This curtain is in front of the door.
69
This right here, is the door handle the door handle, and this is the lock the lock.
70
There is also a deadbolt lock here.
71
Now, I'm going to open the door with my hand.
72
You can see I cut my fingernails.
73
Now, I'm going to open the door and go outside.
74
OK, so now I'm outside here.
75
That up ahead is the Hanoi Opera House.
76
This is a roundabout here.
77
And here you have some plants and stuff.
78
It is very sunny and hot out right now, and I'm just walking on the sidewalk here to go meet my brother and mom to grab lunch.
79
So it really is a beautiful day and you can see right now I'm walking in this shade Over there, you can see it is very sunny.
80
But here, It's nice and shady.
81
Okay, so I just met up with my brother and my mom here, and now we're gonna go eat lunch.
82
So lead the way.
83
So everyone here is eating lunch right now.
84
This is like a lunch spot for office workers.
85
by the looks of it, and they have like a set meal there.
86
Okay, so now we're at circle K.
87
and we're gonna go get a drink.
88
We're all gonna go get a drink.
89
I'm kinda thirsty.
90
Okay, so I'll go and get Leon a drink.
91
Okay, so we got the drinks from Circle Cage.
92
It was two plus one, so we got two Diet Cokes and they gave one free.
93
So three in total and my mom got Pocari sweat electrolytes.
94
That is my favorite electrolyte drink.
95
It's really good.
96
And now we're walking to the restaurant.
97
You can see a lot of scooters parked on the side here.
98
So you can see there are a lot of restaurants serving people here.
99
because it's lunchtime right now so everyone's eating.
100
And these scooters are literally right in the way, so we have to go around here.
101
you .
102
you Okay guys, so we're having lunch now.
103
Do you have the menu?
104
We don't have the menu, but this is the Buncha restaurant that Barack Obama came to eat at.
105
Barack Obama.
106
So here, this is called Buncha.
107
There's like meat in here.
108
This right here is some noodles and then you have some greens here.
109
lettuce and other leaves this right here is a bowl of diced garlic
110
and that is a bowl of chilies
111
but yeah this is what i'm going to eat i believe this is fish sauce in here Looks really good.
112
Okay, so let's try this food now.
113
I'm gonna put my glasses on my head like this to keep my hair out of my face.
114
So, let me try this.
115
Got some meat?
116
Noodles.
117
It's really good.
118
Noodles.
119
spring rolls let me try one of these spring rolls i'm dunking the spring roll in the soup base here
120
okay so we just finished our lunch and we went to go get dessert
121
that fried banana but uh unfortunately they were sold out you really wanted
122
that though right yes i really want to try that We'll have some time, so we'll do it.
123
Another day.
124
And what did you think of lunch?
125
I had bunca the other day as well, and I liked the other days more because it wasn't as sweet.
126
I think you like this one more.
127
Yeah, this one was better in my opinion because the fish sauce was sweeter.
128
What did you think of L 'Anche Lyon?
129
It was good.
130
We didn't have fried spring rolls in the other restaurant because we weren't that hungry, but we tried them this time and they were really good.
131
But we got the crab one and I didn't really taste much crab.
132
I don't know if you did either.
133
Oh, that was the crab one we got?
134
I thought that was the other one.
135
The big one was a seafood one, but that was like FOUR TIMES THE PRICE.
136
And that one had like all the meat in it.
137
Shrimp, crab, fish, all the seafood.
138
Ah, okay yeah i did not know that yeah i don't know
139
if you saw it they had it on the other table and it was like the size of my fist, it was huge.
140
How much was that one and then how much was the one we got?
141
The one we got was $10 ,000.
142
And then the other one was 40 ,000, but it was definitely four times bigger, so it was probably worth it.
143
That was like a fist size.
144
I was wondering why did he order us the small one and not the big one?
145
Well, we told him to just get the small one, but I didn't know it would be that much different.
146
I think next time we should go for the bigger one.
147
We could have ordered four of those
148
and it would have been the same price
149
and it would probably have been more because they were 40 ,000 each for all of us.
150
Now my professional review, I did like this one better because The fish sauce was a little bit sweeter, so I did like this one more.
151
So if I had to go again, I would come back to this place.
152

Okay guys, so now we are eating dessert.
157
You can see they gave us like a mini spoon.
158
It's a very small school like a teaspoon.
159
They gave us our dessert in this tray.
160
They came out with this tray.
161
You can see the tray is kind of dirty and pretty scratched up.
162
see a lot of scratches.
163
on the tray.
164
I don't think it's dirty.
165
I think it's a clean tray, but just well used well used.
166
- Mm -hmm.
167
- Okay.
168
Let's see your dessert.
169
I don't know what it is.
170
It's really good.
171
It's got fruit, yogurt, jello, and then some boba.
172
What's the white liquid?
173
Is that milk or yogurt?
174
I think it's like milk, like a yogurt -y kind of sour -y milk.
175
So it must be yogurt.
176
It looks really good.
177
I think next time I'll get that.
178
Is it good?
179
Mm -hmm.
180
And then they put ice on top of it to keep it cold.
181
Wow, that looks really good.
182
So yeah, this is just a dessert in a small bowl.
183
My hand is like bigger than the bowl, and it's just filled with fruit, ice, milk or yoghurt You can't wait and jelly.
184
This is what I got.
185
I got ice cream with sticky rice.
186
You can see the rice.
187
is this like kind of faded green color
188
and you can see the ice cream has started to melt
189
and this on top is coconut and it's very very sweet and Leon got the same thing.
190
This is our view.
191
First of all, we have a really tiny table.
192
You can see me and Leon are right beside each other.
193
I feel like it would have been better.
194
Maybe I sat there or maybe Leon sat there.
195
Yeah, that would have been better.
196
But yeah, this is the menu right here.
197
It's kind of like a nice vibe.
198
Yo, I got two spoons.
199
Look at this.
200
I just noticed this, I got two spoons.
201
Oh, they were just so close together.
202
But anyway, this is our...
203
I want to mention too that it's very hot today.
204
It is really hot, but here it's not too bad because we are in the shade.
205
It's a hot day.
206
I've already tried it and it is quite good.
207
I like this dessert.
208
But next time I will try that.
209
So what did you think of dessert, Mom?
210
Oh, it was so delicious.
211
I think I made the best choice.
212
-For once.
213
-Yeah, yours was actually, I think, the best.
214
Yours was really good.
215
Mine was good, but yours was great.
216
Mine was refreshing because it's such a hot day.
217
- Yeah, no, I really like yours.
218
I think next time we'll get it, because that place is very close to where we're staying, so we can just easily go back and get another one.
219
Today is actually a beautiful, beautiful day.
220
Okay, so now we are heading out to go have dinner It's 545. So...
221
We're going to go have dinner.
222
I'm gonna put my shoes on.
223
I'm going to slide them on here.
224
and Okay, so now we're walking.
225
We just left the Airbnb we're staying at.
226
What'd you forget?
227
She thought she forgot something, but she didn't forget it.
228
But now we're walking to first get her glasses, - She got the lenses changed.
229
- Yeah, yeah but no prescriptions, just normal, like, plastic lenses, so.
230
No prescription, because she doesn't need them.
231
She's not blind like me.
232
I need prescription lenses.
233
She took the good eyes and gave me bad eyes, bro.
234
What the hell?
235
But yeah, now we're walking there, and then after that we'll go eat something.
236
Looks like these guys are playing some sort of worked.
237
Okay, so now we're in this park What are we actually doing here?
238
We're just walking to go and get my sunglasses.
239
We're in the French Quarter, and it's so beautiful, the buildings.
240
Yeah, the buildings are really beautiful here and we're in this like park.
241
This is like a big fountain.
242
Unfortunately, there is no water coming out of these frog statues.
243
They look a little dirty, don't they?
244
Yes, but I want to point out that I don't know what game The locals are playing here, but look, they keep on kicking.
245
Oh, they're really good.
246
This game looks hard.
247
Like you could only kick it with your with your feet.
248
Like, look, look at this guy.
249
It looks like a brush with the weight on the end the guide to this side is also This guy is practicing.
250
Yeah, honestly, that looks like it takes skill being able to like kick
251
stuff constantly on your feet but I don't know if I'd be able to do that.
252
And I don't even know if I'm that flexible, because some of them go like this and hit him like, dude, I'll break my whole hip, man.
253
I'm not flexible at all.
254
Yeah, now we're going to go get your glasses, so let's Head over there.
255
Look at this nice building.
256
This is beautiful.
257
The flowers are actually gorgeous.
258
yellow and red contrast.
259
I think it looks really nice together.
260
Oh, I guess, yeah, it matches the Vietnamese flag, yellow and red.
261
I wonder what this building is.
262
I don't know.
263
Does it say in English there?
264
No. Yeah, I'm not sure.
265
But absolutely beautiful.
266
- No, just in Vietnamese.
267
This is a nice building.
268
I feel like it's some sort of government building or something.
269
Yeah, most of them are.
270
The wall may take...
271
Because the flowers are like the color...
272
of the Vietnamese flag. So pretty.
273
Yeah.
274
Over there, I wonder what that building is.
275
That's a nice big building too.
276
You can see all those beautiful like pillars.
277
COLUMNS.
278
supporting the structure.
279
- Architecture sure is beautiful here.
280
- Yeah, it's like the French -inspired Vietnamese architecture.
281
And there's Leon.
282
way up ahead.
283
Should I get a Vietnamese hat?
284
What do you call this?
285
It has a name.
286
You can ask this gentleman.
287
Hi.
288
Low -key, does it look good though?
289
Kind of nice.
290
It's only $40.
291
It's $2.
292
$2?
293
Wow.
294
$2.
295
Oh, yo, low key.
296
Loki, these fans are nice.
297
What do you think of these fans?
298
Yeah, I like a bigger one, though.
299
They're kind of nice.
300
I wonder how much they are.
301
I kind of like them.
302
No, the black one isn't wood, the black one's plastic.
303
This one's good.
304
Look at this.
305
That's really nice.
306
Yeah, I'd like a bigger one and a black one.
307
No, this is a good size.
308
No, no, no. A longer one.
309
How much are the hats?
310
$2.
311
Can you put it on again?
312
Please.
313
I think this might be a woman's version.
314
But yeah, I guess Leon is right.
315
You have to wear this in the airplane.
316
Unless you carry it, yeah.
317
But why not wear it?
318
And we're looking at souvenirs.
319
I should buy something.
320
Make art, not war.
321
Oh, these are magnets.
322
I like the fact that they put prices on things.
323
Yeah, look at these coconuts.
324
These are what I bought you last time.
325
Oh, I still have it.
326
It's really nice.
327
It's so pretty.
328
How much are they?
329
75. That's really nice.
330
A bong?
331
It's not a bong, it's a vase.
332
Oh, these are nice cups.
333
Nicely painted, but I feel like if you wash these, the paint's gonna come off because they just hand painted those.
334
Okay, so we're in the souvenir shop and I really like all these like small little trinkets and stuff, but definitely my favorite has got to be the Vietnamese hats.
335
I really like them, but I don't know if I can bring them.
336
So what I want to get is like a very, very small one, a very small version and have it as a keychain.
337
There are some over here, but they're made out of wood, not the straw.
338
Let me show you.
339
Like these.
340
I want one this size, but these ones are made out of wood.
341
You can see there wood.
342
I want straw like this.
343
So my mom bought some souvenirs for my brother and dad back home.
344
Just a couple things.
345
It's some souvenirs.
346
And now we're heading to pick up your glasses and then eat.
347
Do you know what we're gonna eat?
348
No, surprise me.
349
I don't know either.
350
That's what I was asking.
351
I know what I want for dessert though.
352
I still want that banana.
353
Oh, do you?
354
Deep fried banana.
355
Oh yeah, I want that too.
356
So we're buying a little bit of Korean.
357
skincare here.
358
My brother got that cleanser and my mom got this sunscreen.
359
I got nothing.
360
Okay, so now we're heading up these, like, stairs.
361
in this area to get my mom's glasses.
362
It's literally a random place.
363
We literally had to go through a bar down there just to get here.
364
This is the store.
365
This is a wall of glasses, dude.
366
A wall of sunglasses.
367
Try them on.
368
It's lighter?
369
but I like it.
370
I like it lighter.
371
I'm going to see how much these are.
372
Really?
373
That's crazy.
374
Well, one of these, I don't know if this is the exact model, but they go for a thousand US dollars.
375
A thousand for glasses?
376
I actually really like those - The Oakley's one?
377
ones that had like no bottoms and they are 100 Canadian dollars which is not too bad if you think about
378
the prices of them.
379
Canada so they're called the Oakley Half Wire 1 .0s.
380
Yeah, that's them right?
381
Yeah, but the lenses are a little bit different, but they look pretty similar to that.
382
Non -original?
383
The original ones look bluer Yeah, the original ones looked a lot bluer.
384
I like the silver.
385
They look good and they feel like metal.
386
Oh no, they're metal.
387
Yeah, they're strong.
388
They're out of something called X -Metal, which is an Oakley thing the rubber on my own, these are called funubtanium.
389
An optinium, bro.
390
THE RUBBER.
391
Yeah.
392
Why don't they call it Rub -a -tanium?
393
They call the metal X -metal and the rubber Un -a -tanium.
394
Okay, what did you get, Mom?
395
I've got a Saigon beer.
396
A bia, I believe they call it.
397
What do they call it?
398
Bia.
399
I've got a beer.
400
- Saigon beer, Leon got a Hanoi beer?
401
Mine is better than his though.
402
We all got a Hanoi beer and I got no beer because I don't drink.
403
Right now we're at a restaurant
404
and we've already ordered our food and we're gonna eat It's kind of like a little bit of a nicer restaurant.
405
Although I do prefer eating on the streets, but since it's dinner and one of our last days in Hanoi before we go to Ninh Binh, we decided to eat here.
406
What did you think of dinner?
407
It was very good.
408
Thank you very much, Volker, for treating me again.
409
No problem.
410
Thank you for treating me again.
411
No problem.
412
- Oh.
413
It's a pleasure.
414
It's good.
415
But we just finished dinner.
416
It was like a little bit more expensive than normal, but still compared to Canada, it was really cheap compared to Canada.
417
Actually, you can't get junk food in Canada even for this price.
418
It was a good cooked meal.
419
It was like $30 total.
420
Canadian, yeah.
421
Canadian, yeah.
422
compared to Canada.
423
It was a good deal.
424
And in Korea, I think when we were vacationing there, we ate for like $15 per person per meal.
425
That's kind of what we budgeted for.
426
- Yeah, 15 to 20.
427
- Yeah, 15 to 24, depending on the meal.
428
- Now what are we gonna go do?
429
- We're going to go look for a banana dessert.
430
- Banana dessert?
431
Yeah, so we wanted to go eat those fried bananas earlier today with ice cream, but unfortunately we couldn't find them.
432
I mean, I guess we did find them but they were sold out by the time we went, so we couldn't get them.
433
So now we have to go find them.
434
