This video is all about five protocols or five things you can do to bring greater positivity into your days.
2
So I know you're a mogul and a titan and a virtuoso.
3
You're building a great organization, a great life.
4
You're trying to impact the world.
5
And some people might think that positivity is not really relevant.
6
But you know in this age of poly crisis,
7
protecting your mindset, staying positive is ever so important.
8
You can't inspire your team.
9
You can't do inspired work.
10
You can't inspire your marketplace.
11
You can't inspire the world if you are D-inspired.
12
You know, I don't believe in titles.
13
You've probably read The Leader Who Had No Title.
14
I think one title does matter and it's CIO,
15
which is Chief Inspiration Officer.
16
So this module and this session together is really all about some tactics that will help you protect your positivity.
17
The first is start well.
18
And of course, you've heard me talk about the 5am club and the powerful great morning routine.
19
But great mentoring is reinforcing so that you understand these ideas at deeper and deeper and deeper levels.
20
These days, I'm personally practicing a four-hour morning routine.
21
I'm just going to put it out there for you to play with it.
22
And the 5am club is great,
23
but it's almost minimum viable morning routine.
24
I want you to join the 4am club.
25
and from four o'clock, and it'll probably take you a few weeks to install it,
26
and then the question becomes,
27
what time do I go to sleep?
28
I go to sleep about 9.30 these days,
29
10 o'clock, and I get up at four o'clock,
30
and from four o'clock to five o'clock, I do MVP.
31
MVP, as you know, is the most valuable player,
32
and for you to become the most valuable player of your life,
33
I want you to practice MVP,
34
which is meditation, visualization, and prayer.
35
For one hour, four o'clock to five o'clock,
36
you're laying in bed, and you're meditating,
37
and you're visualizing your dreams coming true.
38
For the past four months,
39
every morning at 4 o'clock,
40
I would visualize what I called my four beautiful projects.
41
There were four key projects I was working on,
42
and I would actually meditate on them,
43
and then I would visualize them as if they were real,
44
and I would actually inhabit the image of each of those four projects if they had come true,
45
and if I executed on them nearly flawlessly.
46
M, V, P, the P is for prayer.
47
The last part of this process might be 4.30 to 5, 4.45 to 5.
48
You actually pray.
49
You can do it quietly.
50
You can do it out loud under your breath.
51
And you just pray because every prayer is heard.
52
And you just pray.
53
Don't believe in God.
54
You could call it the force of the universe.
55
You could call it energy.
56
Whatever the force is that you believe runs the world,
57
even if it's you're praying to your heroic self and your finest self versus your egoic self,
58
pray and put out that intention for what you want and what you desire to come true.
59
From 4 o'clock to 5 o'clock, MVP.
60
The next part of this four-hour morning routine, five to six.
61
It's really all about movement.
62
So you get on an elliptical or you do yoga
63
or you get on a spin bike or you go for a run,
64
but it's an hour or so of your workout.
65
And while you're working out,
66
hydrate, take some supplements in the water.
67
Hydration promotes mitochondrial function.
68
I love to listen to a podcast or an audio book.
69
So I'm not only exercising,
70
I am learning and I'm hydrating.
71
I also keep a pad of paper and a pen next to my elliptical or my exercise bike,
72
and I'm jotting down notes and ideas.
73
And so this is five o'clock to six o'clock where you are exercising,
74
promoting energy, elite performance, creating a pharmacy of mastery where you're releasing dopamine,
75
serotonin, norepinephrine, which gives you more focus, and oxytocin.
76
Now it's 6 o'clock.
77
You are full of energy.
78
You are feeling phenomenal.
79
You've released dopamine, so you're inspired.
80
You've released serotonin, so you're feeling happy.
81
You've reduced the cortisol.
82
It's 6 a.m.
83
You've done an hour of MVP, an hour of exercise.
84
You've hydrated.
85
You've learned.
86
Imagine how you're feeling.
87
Then from 6 to 7 o'clock,
88
I encourage you to write in your journal and ask yourself a series of morning questions that are so powerful.
89
First morning question, what are five things I'm grateful for?
90
Second morning question, where am I winning?
91
As you focus on your micro wins,
92
you increase inspiration, positivity, and you build momentum.
93
The negativity bias of the human brain causes us to focus on where we're not winning and where we're losing,
94
which promotes frustration.
95
So that question, where am I winning?
96
trains your brain to focus on all the areas,
97
the micro winds, where you're doing well.
98
And the more you focus on those,
99
they will grow and amplify,
100
which promotes your energy, inspiration,
101
and gives you a sense of momentum.
102
Third morning question, powerful.
103
What will I let go of today?
104
Maybe it's someone you need to forgive.
105
Maybe it's resentment.
106
Maybe it's being hard on yourself.
107
Maybe it's a difficulty yesterday or in the past,
108
but writing out what you will release today is part of the healing process
109
that will allow you to purify your heart set and move on with your life.
110
And the fourth question is,
111
what does my ideal day look like?
112
So you have a clear paragraph of your ideal day ahead.
113
And clarity precedes mastery.
114
Vague plans leads to vague goals.
115
So now, by writing out your intentions of the ideal day ahead,
116
you build that superpower of focus in this age of dramatic distraction.
117
Six o'clock to seven o'clock,
118
you focus on those four questions.
119
You write the answers in your journal.
120
You do it every day or maybe just five days a week.
121
But every day would be so powerful.
122
So now you've started at 4 a.m.
123
It's 7 a.m.
124
What do I suggest you do?
125
Go for a walk in nature,
126
even if it's only 15 minutes.
127
Go for a walk in nature.
128
It's so powerful.
129
What else can you do in that last hour?
130
Read.
131
Reading is a conversation with the author.
132
The more knowledge you can accumulate,
133
the wiser you become, the more magic you can push into the marketplace,
134
the less mistakes you'll make,
135
the more you can influence people because of your internal power.
136
And now it's 8 o'clock.
137
You've spent four hours developing yourself,
138
your four interior empires of mindset,
139
heart set, health set, and soul set.
140
And imagine doing that five days a week.
141
Imagine the growth you'll experience.
142
Imagine the healing.
143
Imagine the wisdom.
144
Imagine the positivity.
145
Imagine the brain power.
146
Imagine the inner power you will build doing this even five days a week.
147
As you know, your days are your life in miniature.
148
the days slip into weeks and then months and then quarters and then a lifetime.
149
And it makes me think of Kobe Bryant.
150
He was interviewed and he said,
151
you know, when I got to the NBA,
152
I realized not everyone wanted to be the best.
153
Some people got into the NBA,
154
they made their dream real,
155
and they started to coast.
156
They would party, they would go to the one practice that they'd have to go to.
157
And Kobe said, I wanted to be the dominant player in the entire league.
158
And so he said, I realized that if I did a practice at 4 a.m each day,
159
and then the team practice at 11 a.m each day,
160
and then if I did another practice at 4 o'clock each day,
161
and then another one in the early evening,
162
just doing that once or once a week wouldn't make a difference.
163
But he said, if I did it five days a week in consistency,
164
because consistency is the mother of mastery,
165
he said I realized the gains and the ability and the skills
166
and the mastery that I would be building doing four workouts every single day as the days became weeks,
167
the weeks became quarters, the quarters became years,
168
I would build a winning advantage that no other person in the entire league could ever keep up with.
169
And that's why he became Kobe Bryant.
170
And so I want you to play with this four-hour morning routine.
171
If you don't want to do it, that's fine.
172
Then do a three-hour morning routine.
173
If you don't want to do a three-hour morning routine,
174
then do two hours.
175
If you don't want to do two hours,
176
at least do one hour every day and watch the results.
177
And that's the first point of being positive.
178
starting well because as you know the Spartan warriors used to say sweat more in training you'll bleed less
179
and more the way you begin your day sets up the way your day unfolds
180
I'm doing this four-hour morning routine every day
181
and I don't want to miss it because it makes me feel
182
so good because doing the MVP and then the workout
183
and then the journal questions and then the nature walk
184
and then the reading it just feels so good I feel so alive I feel I'm becoming my best self,
185
it gives me so much energy,
186
gives me so much positivity,
187
makes me feel very peaceful,
188
makes me feel very alive.
189
So when it comes to the night before,
190
and of course I'm saying you need to get enough sleep,
191
I go to sleep at 9.30 or 10 now,
192
but I just don't want to miss getting up at 4 a.m because it feels so good when I'm doing it,
193
and I've got to tell you the quality of my days,
194
the quality of my creativity,
195
the quality of my productivity,
196
the quality of my impact.
197
The quality of my relationships have been upgraded
198
so much by this four-hour morning routine that I just don't want to miss it.
199
And if I do miss it,
200
I notice that my day just feels different.
201
I just, I'm not as on game,
202
as inspired, as happy, as productive, as creative.
203
So I really wish that for you.
204
Don't judge it until you try it.
205
Four-hour morning routine, pretty amazing.
206
You're pretty amazing.
207
Try it, not for a day,
208
not for a week, try it for a few weeks and then measure the results for yourself, please.

What is the Shadowing Technique?

Shadowing is a science-backed language learning technique originally developed for professional interpreter training and popularized by polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. The method is simple but powerful: you listen to native English audio and immediately repeat it out loud — like a shadow following the speaker with just a 1–2 second delay. Unlike passive listening or grammar drills, shadowing forces your brain and mouth muscles to simultaneously process and reproduce real speech patterns. Research shows it significantly improves pronunciation accuracy, intonation, rhythm, connected speech, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency — making it one of the most effective methods for IELTS Speaking preparation and real-world English communication.
