Then you're going to strain the mixture and chill it overnight.

And while that's doing its thing, I'm going to make a homemade cherry compote.

Just throw a bunch of cherries into a pot and let it simmer until it's nice and jammy.

My KitchenAid stand mixer is so sick of seeing me make ice cream for the 10th time, but I love that bowl attachment.

And then I like to mix the cherries, the chocolate chips, and the ice cream together in the individual ice cream pints.
