This is Josh from TST Prep, and this is a new TOEFL writing practice test for the new version of the TOEFL.

January 21st, 2026, the TOEFL test is going to completely change, so we need to update all of our materials, and that includes the writing.

So this test will be exactly what you can expect from the new version of the TOEFL.

What can you expect?

So So there are a couple of new task types and one old one that's still there.

So the first task that you have to do is build a sentence.

It looks like this.

It's kind of tricky, but you have about six minutes to do 10 of these questions.

After that, you have to write an email and it is what it sounds like.

You have one of these to do on test day.

And the last one is an academic discussion.

So this is probably the only question actually that survived this update for the TOEFL.

Make sure you write without spell check.

There's no spell check on test day, so make sure that that is off.
