okay i'm getting ready to head out i think i'm gonna go walk around i might stop by a few stores i really want to go to brandy but i know on the weekends the line is insane like it goes around the block you have to wait so long to get in the store and then it's too crowded you can't even do anything if the line is not too long then i would go because there is something very specific that i want to get but like I said we'll see and if you can't tell by the background here I'm working on a crochet project I've actually had all of the squares done for like months and I'm just now putting them all together into a blanket so I'll probably work on that when I get back home let's head out.

So I was walking around Coach and there are honestly a few things that really caught my eye.

Some things I'm thinking about buying but the store is honestly really small and there's nobody else in there.

It's kind of like an awkward vibe so I just left.

I think I might get something online if i'm really really really you know dying to have it i'm looking to get another kind of bag because the bag that i have right now is a bit small i really like the empire bags at coach but we shall see but yeah i think right now i'm gonna go to aritzia and then grab a cup of coffee and go outside and take a walk honestly never had their matcha before so we'll see taste test i feel like the matcha is very powdery i don't feel like it's that high quality but it suffices for a nice little drink.

It's not the worst match I've ever had so that's a plus.

Last time I got like an iced coffee from them I also was not that impressed and honestly I did walk around a few stores like I was walking around Aritzia and I saw a few things that I liked but the line to try things on was just absolutely ridiculous and it was not even moving at all like people were totally just stuck there so even though there were some things i wanted to try i just left i changed my clothes because i don't like wearing outside clothes inside and i just got some takeout i'm so excited smells so good let me show you.

First we have some rice.

Let me pour some out.

And I got some chicken tiki masala and garlic naan.

And this is some side dish.

I honestly don't know what this is, but this is so so exciting for me.

So good.

And I'm gonna watch the original Spider-Man movies.

like the ones with toby mcguire like the spider-man movies i grew up watching so basically i have my naan i like to just dip it in here and take a bite oh so good chicken tiki masala this one i ordered like a mild so it's not really that spicy but you can change it like you can make it really spicy if you want and it has like a tomatoey kind of base mixed with some other spices and it is really good it's a little bit creamy there is some chicken here too which i usually just eat with the rice it's honestly really crazy to me how good marvel movies used to be i don't know i think the new spider-man movies coming out should be pretty good But other than that, I have not seen a good Marvel movie in a really long time.

I had some errands to run that required me to get out of my apartment, and after I finished what I needed to do, I stopped at a nearby bookstore.

I actually ended up buying a short novel and decided to work at a cafe for a while.

So I really wasn't planning on buying anything today, but I just had to pick this up when I saw it in the bookstore.

This is one of my favorite authors ever.

It's by Banana Yoshimoto.

It's called The Premonition.

And when I was reading the blurb on the back, I literally only read one sentence.

And I was like, yes, I have to read this.

This sounds amazing.

I feel like it's going to be a really interesting journey.

And by the way, this sentence on the back of the book that really attracted me goes like this.

So, Yai Yoi, a 19-year-old woman from a loving middle-class family has lately been haunted by the feeling that she has forgotten something important from her childhood.

I really love the way that she writes and it is a translation but I think they do a good job with the translation and her stories are always like pretty short but they're the type of stories that stick with you for a really long time.

They make you think, they make you contemplate the meaning of life but in a good way so I'm really excited to read this.

I also just finished Bear Town's the other night.

I didn't really enjoy that story.

I talked about that a little bit in another video and I didn't like the ending either.

It wasn't very satisfying.

It didn't, I don't know, I just did not like that book very much.

So I'm hoping this will be a good next read.

And I'm going to be honest, I was not really looking forward to going outside today.

I usually like to stay home and don't leave unless it's absolutely necessary.

But I feel like I'm going to start going out a little bit more, you know, the weather is getting nicer.

It's good to talk to strangers, you know, those little conversations are really important for us to have.

Maybe this week, I'll start working at some more cafes and going out when I have the chance.

So I wanted to do a little update on my project and show you guys what's going on.

So I was working on this a bit last night.

It's not totally complete, but I'd still like to share it with you.

So this is what I have been putting together when I've been working on.

It's just a blanket made out of these granny squares.

So all of these little colorful squares were made individually, and then now I'm sewing it together.

You can see this top part is almost done, right?

But then the bottom is a bit loose and wiggly and I need to like finish sewing them all together.

But there is one thing, like I am short by one square, so there's this little corner without a piece.

I do have enough yarn that I could make another square and complete the whole blanket.

But the issue is I don't know where my crochet hook went.

So I'll have to do some exploring and try to find that.

But if not, then it's just going to be short a square and that's okay.

This is essentially what it will be like when it's done.

I honestly really like doing this because it's a great time for me to kind of meditate or I can clear my mind while I do something with my hands and I feel like it's very soothing for me so I've been enjoying this project and I'm happy to see that it's almost done and as another update I finished this book last night I'm still trying to decide how I feel about it I really love this author but I'm afraid that this is not one of my favorite books of hers.

I love her writing style and it's still present in this book.

She writes very simply but there's just something so beautiful about her prose.

My main issue lies with the relationships between some of the characters in this book.

Some of them are a bit taboo and some of them I would say are just a bit wrong even though there are some like technicalities that make it so it's not technically wrong but ethically I think that some relationships are wrong I think it was just one thing I couldn't get off of my mind while I was reading and I understand the kind of premise or idea of this book the main thing that drew me in was this main character who has this premonition that she's forgotten something from her childhood but it's It's not actually a huge part of the plot.

I feel like it gets resolved very early on in the novel and then the rest of the book is something else.

The rest of the book is actually talking about how relationships change over time and how one person can show you memories of the past.

You can see past versions within one version of a person.

That sounds very complicated the way that I'm putting it, but it's actually beautifully written.

again like the relationships and the way that they changed were very taboo and I did not really enjoy that part of this book but that is just my initial thought maybe my feelings will change as time goes on
