ever since my family left about a month ago i've been kind of in this funk i've been pretty down

and really just like not myself

and something i've always wanted to do was take a solo

trip to paris being in all of my thoughts the past

couple weeks got me really thinking why not just finally do it

and what better time than right now okay we're here it's 9 30 p.m on sunday my flight leaves in one hour.

I haven't done a solo trip in a little while

so I'm excited but I'm kind of nervous and I have pretty much nothing planned which is so unlike me.

So I guess we'll see if this is a good idea.

until i step outside it's not going to actually feel like

i'm here i'm starting the morning making an espresso coffee here's the thing.

The last time I made one of these I think was a year

or two ago and I forget how to use the machine. So...

because i'm so lucky that I can actually just fly here at any time

But I did think it'd be a really nice change of pace for me

And I was really looking forward to it the past couple weeks

when I was a little down So the first thing on my mind is getting food I'm,

so hungry, but actually the thing that's before the first thing on my mind is sitting on that balcony with my coffee.

If you know me, you know I love people watching.

So it's just, it's like my favorite hobby.

Fear of filming in public, Paris edition.

I saw this brunch spot when I drove in last night called Cozy.

It is so busy and it's also really hot.

I think it's like 95 degrees right now.

I got some avocado toast, which is so boring of me.

And I hate that I did that, but it just looked so good.

Does that not look like 10 out of 10?

I also got an iced latte, which is concerning that this is my second of the day.

I'm like a little scared about how I'm going to feel.

I also asked for ice water and I forgot that they don't really do ice here.

I don't know why that is.

I actually can someone who is from here

or who knows the answer tell me why I'm just curious like the reasoning Oh, but the water is cold though.

So naturally because I don't have anything in mind

when I'm here I went on my Instagram story

and asked you guys to help me

and a lot of you guys are recommending this bakery called Mamish And I did just walk by it.

So even though I just ate I think it would be an injustice for me to not go try a croissant Okay,

taste test because I found a little quiet alleyway where there's less people.

I got two things.

I kind of was stressed out in there

because I felt like there was a line forming and I just like needed to order something immediately.

First thing I got, a plain croissant.

obviously have to just start with the basics.

It's so doughy on the inside.

I'm bringing out my inner food critic.

This place is also super popular on TikTok

so I kind of wanted to not like it in spite of that but I do.

It's really good.

Now that I've eaten half of it I'm gonna give it a nine.

And now for the pan of chocolate.

This is really good but i might like the plain croissant even better

because i love chocolate see i just messed it up now

i can never have a croissant in america again it's never going to be as good as

that and i'm always just going to be thinking in my head i wish i was eating

I think I already found my favorite part of Paris.

I'm at Park Monceau.

I had a couple of my friends recommend this place to me.

Before I went, I texted a couple of them.

I was like, what should I do when I'm there?

And they both said this park.

Okay, some guy's giving me a heart sign.

I didn't know how to react to that.

The moment I stepped in here, I had Olivia Rodrigo's new album playing, obviously, and it felt like I was in a music video.

Is that so cringe.

It did.

It feels like I'm in like some romantic movie.

It's so magical.

I also think part of my intrigue here is that everyone truthfully seems so genuinely happy.

People are like on their phones a lot less.

I don't know if this is just like a random observation I'm making.

Everyone just seems so peaceful and content.

What really intrigued me about this place is apparently Monet painted five of his famous paintings here.

And ironically, okay, this is gonna make it look like I'm trying to be an artist.

I'm not.

This is just coincidence.

My friend for my birthday got me a little paint set

and the second I opened it I told her I'm bringing that to Paris with me.

It's perfect.

It's a little watercolor book and I grabbed some water from the water fountain and mine will look nothing like Monet's.

Actually mine's filling the lines.

There's really no talent required here.

As I was walking home, I noticed the bars were completely packed to the brim with people.
