Shadowing-Übung: Let's Practice English Speaking With Shadowing! (B2 Level) - Englisch Sprechen Lernen mit Video

Lektion wird erstellt...
1
Welcome to your B2 shadowing session.
2
Today, we're going to practice together, you and me, no speaking partner needed, just your voice, your full attention,
3
and the willingness to sound a little silly before you start sounding great.
4
This session is designed for B2 learners.
5
That means the vocabulary, the rhythm, and the sentence complexity are all calibrated to stretch you, not overwhelm you.
6
If something feels slightly beyond your comfort zone, that's exactly where it should be.
7
Here's how this works.
8
I'm going to read a series of sentences and short passages, everyday conversational English at B2 level.
9
You know, the kind of language you would use to express opinions, for example, or tell a story, or discuss something that matters to you.
10
And then after each one, I'll give you a pause.
11
That's your moment.
12
You repeat what I said out loud, nodding your head, trying to match my rhythm, my stress, and my intonation as closely as you can.
13
Don't worry about being imperfect.
14
Worry about being present.
15
Stay in the moment.
16
Stay with the sound.
17
And keep going, even when it doesn't come out exactly right.
18
If you haven't watched my video on how to do shadowing correctly, by the way, I'll leave a link to that video in the description.
19
That will make this session significantly more effective.
20
All right?
21
Session 1.
22
Expressing Opinions In this first section, we're going to practice expressing opinions.
23
This is some of the most important conversational English at B2 level.
24
The language you use when someone asks what you think, how you feel, or where you stand on something.
25
I'll read each sentence.
26
You repeat after me.
27
Focus on the rhythm, where the stress falls, where my voice rises, and where it drops.
28
Remember, listen first, then repeat.
29
All right?
30
Here we go.
31
Honestly, I think people underestimate how much effort it takes to learn a language well.
32
I'd say the biggest challenge isn't the grammar, it's finding the confidence to actually use it.
33
Look, I understand why people feel that way, but I'm not sure I agree.
34
The way I see it, consistency matters a lot more than intensity.
35
I mean, it makes sense when you think about it.
36
You can't learn to swim by reading about it.
37
To be honest, I've changed my mind about this a few times over the years.
38
Well, that really depends on the person, doesn't it?
39
What works for one learner might not work for another.
40
I'm not saying it's easy.
41
I'm saying it's possible.
42
Those are very different things.
43
Good work.
44
Now let's do that section one more time.
45
A little faster this time.
46
Really try to match the rhythm.
47
Here we go.
48
Honestly, I think people underestimate how much effort it takes to learn a language well.
49
I'd say the biggest challenge isn't the grammar, it's finding the confidence to actually use it.
50

57
I'm not saying it's easy, I'm saying it's possible.
58
Those are very different things.
59
Well done!
60
Now let's move on to session 2, storytelling.
61
The ability to narrate a personal experience clearly and naturally in English is one of the clearest markers of B2 level.
62
This action will push you a little further on sentence length and complexity.
63
Same rules.
64
Hear it first, absorb, repeat it out loud.
65
Don't read ahead.
66
Just listen, then follow.
67
I remember the first time I had a real conversation in English.
68
I was so nervous I could barely get the words out.
69
surprised me most was how quickly the other person put me at ease.
70
They just kept the conversation going.
71
At some point, I stopped thinking about what I was saying and just started saying it.
72
And that was the moment things started to click.
73
It wasn't perfect, not by a long shot, but it was real.
74
And real felt a lot better than perfect.
75
Looking back, I think the biggest thing that held me back wasn't my English.
76
It was my fear of getting it wrong.
77
Once I let go of that, everything moved faster.
78
The mistakes didn't disappear, but they stopped feeling like failures.
79
I've been studying for over a year before I finally realized that studying and speaking are two completely different things.
80
The moment I started treating every conversation as practice, not as a test, the whole experience changed.
81
Excellent!
82
That section was longer and a bit more complex.
83
If some of those felt like a stretch, that's the point.
84
Now let's run through the last four one more time.
85
Looking back, I think the biggest thing that held me back wasn't my English.
86
It was my fear of getting it wrong.
87
Once I let go of that, everything moved faster.
88

90
The moment I started treating every conversation as practice, not as a test, the whole experience changed.
91
Session 3.
92
Discussing ideas.
93
This is the last section.
94
This one pushes the register slightly higher, toward the kind of English you will use in a professional conversation,
95
a presentation, or a discussion about something that genuinely matters.
96
This is where B2 meets the edge of C1.
97
Stay with me, you've got this.
98
One of the things that often gets overlooked is that language learning is as much about psychology as it is about linguistics.
99
The evidence suggests that consistent daily practice,
100
even in small amounts, outperforms intensive but infrequent study sessions.
101
What I find particularly interesting is how the brain adapts over time.
102
that once required enormous effort eventually become automatic.
103
I think we sometimes underestimate the role of motivation in language learning.
104
It's not just a nice-to-have, it's fundamental.
105
The distinction between knowing a language and using it comfortably is something that doesn't get talked about enough.
106
Fair enough.
107
There is no single method that works for everyone, but there are principles that work, and those are worth paying attention to.
108
If I had to summarize it in one sentence, I'd say, the gap between understanding English and thinking in English is where fluency lives.
109
And bridging that gap takes time, consistency, and, above all, the willingness to be imperfect in pursuit of something better.
110
That was your B2 shadowing session.
111
Well done for showing up and doing the work.
112
Three sessions, 24 sentences, B2 to C1 level complexity, natural rhythm, real conversational English.
113
Here's what I want you to do next.
114
back to this video tomorrow and the day after because the sessions
115
that felt hardest this first time are the ones
116
that produce the biggest improvement by the third fourth
117
or fifth time through your ear and our mouth need repetition not just exposure
118
so if today felt a little bit uncomfortable you know some of these sentences
119
if they came out wrong no problem at all that discomfort is the work doing its job.
120
It means you were stretched and stretched is exactly where you want to be.
121
If you want more practice sessions like this one, plus structured B2 content and an AI speaking coach for daily conversation practice,
122
the B2 Edge app is in the description.
123
And there are more shadowing sessions coming on this channel at B1 level, at C1 level, and with other topics that I'm not going to tell you now.
124
So subscribe to the channel so you don't miss those sessions.
125
I'm Tiago, great work today.
126
Thanks for hanging out with me.

Stand up for your learning!
