11
Well, that was one way to kick off the vlog.
12
Welcome to Vietnam.
13
It's my first time here and I figured, you know what?
14
Let's just start off here in front of the Ho Chi Minh statue.
15
I mean, how could I not, right?
16
I arrived here three hours ago, give or take.
17
So I figured in this vlog, I'm just gonna give you guys like my first raw impressions.
18
I legit came here from Sweden, right?
19
So I flew from Sweden to Bangkok and then to Ho Chi Minh City, right?
20
I haven't slept.
21
I pulled an all-nighter.
22
Kinda tired, but the excitement for being here kinda carries right now.
23
So let's just do this until I crash, right?
24
For my first time here, I want to try the local food, meet the people and get a real feel for Vietnam.
25
Seems pretty straightforward, right?
26
Well, Saigon had other plans.
27
I can't sit here?
28
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
29
No?
30
Yeah.
31
Yeah, I'm allowed.
32
Oh, but even if I pay?
33
Yeah.
34
But before things get way out of hand, let's just walk around and take this place in.
35
Okay, so first raw impressions of Ho Chi Minh.
36
I mean, this city is a lot, all right.
37
It reminds me of Bangkok.
38
It reminds me of Bangkok a lot.
39
I don't know the traffic here might be a bit more crazy.
40
I never thought I would say that but yeah, it is hectic to say the least.
41
Did I mention I haven't slept yet?
42
Anyways, I'm excited to be here, you know, because I feel like it's a nice switch up from Thailand you know, it's been there so much.
43
So this still feels very new and exciting for me, you know.
44
We're on a mission to find food.
45
I would love to find some banh mi, all right.
46
That is one of the two main dishes.
47
I know here it's banh mi and foe, so let's find either one of those.
48
What a contrast!
49
Oh my god!
50
So on this side, you have these lovely ladies.
51
No, I'm not interested, thank you selling cigarettes and glasses
52
and other touristy stuff i guess
53
and on the other side you have gucci that's crazy contrast not gonna lie i don't know much vietnamese
54
but i do see a sign
55
that says banh me you know what i'm sold i'm
56
so sold for that right now this is my first time having I'm eating banh mi Yeah,
57
yeah Let's go Is that meatball?
58
Let's try meatball Yeah I'm Swedish So that could be interesting Vietnamese take on Chili Sure,
59
let's try How much?
60
Can I sit down here in here?
61
Yeah?
62
Okay, perfect.
63
Thank you.
64
Okay, this feels very local all of a sudden.
65
Nice!
66
This is kind of what I want.
67
Hello?
68
Do you have water?
69
Water?
70
Water?
71
Hello?
72
Water?
73
Water?
74
How much?
75
5,000.
76
Okay, you can have.
77
One is okay.
78
One.
79
Okay, thank you.
80
You can keep, keep, keep.
81
Alright, first bite, here goes.
82
Mmm. That is delicious.
83
Let's see, we got some onion, we got the meatball salad, cucumber, I think.
84
A little bit of everything, some sauce in there as well.
85
Hits the spot bro.
86
I was so hungry man.
87
Big question though, does it taste like meatball and was it spicy?
88
Kind of hit now, the spiciness.
89
Got some kick to it for sure.
90
Doesn't taste much like the meatballs I'm used to.
91
But with that said, I kind of like it though still.
92
Can I have another bunny?
93
Barbecue.
94
Barbecue?
95
Yeah.
96
One.
97
What's the sauce in it?
98
The sauce?
99
What type of sauce?
100
Dad.
101
Dad, what's this?
102
What's this?
103
What is it?
104
No chili this time.
105
Better wait.
106
Good sign.
107
Yeah, yeah.
108
This for you.
109
You can keep.
110
Keep cheese.
111
Enjoy.
112
He deserves a good tip for these bands.
113
Like, maybe got a better look over there when I recorded in the stall.
114
Let's give the barbecue a go, alright?
115
I...
116
I'm not here for you. For you.
117
This one was good as well.
118
I'm so messy right now, but I don't care.
119
I feel like vฤm is definitely gonna be a staple in my diet whilst I'm here in Vietnam, you know.
120
Plenty of protein, I like that.
121
Next up is Vem Thanh Market, Vietnam's most famous fake market.
122
But behind all the fake stuff, this place is also packed with Vietnamese food.
123
And that's what I'm here for.
124
Real quick, we're getting super close to 50k subscribers, a big goal of mine.
125
So if you're enjoying the video, make sure you subscribe.
126
I mean, obviously they have a bunch of like fake stuff, right?
127
But they also have a lot of food stalls.
128
So perhaps we can try some more food.
129
I'm not that hungry, but I could do it for the video, I'm not gonna lie.
130
I still need to try some pho.
131
Hi!
132
Hi.
133
Okay.
134
I'm not gonna lie, every stall looks more or less the same.
135
Okay bro, like, tell me, you have...
136
It's my first day here in Vietnam?
137
Vietnamese very good, I have bun cha, Vietnamese very good.
138
Pho, Pho.
139

140
Okay, let's try some Pho. Is it here?
141
Thank you.
142
Thank you very much.
143
Thank you.
144
Is the best Pho here?
145
Water is okay.
146
Water?
147
Okay, great.
148
It's good?
149
You like it?
150
The food?
151
Yeah, it's good.
152
Great.
153
What did you order?
154
Sorry?
155
What did you order?
156
I ordered some pho.
157

158

159
Polanta as well?
160
Nice.
161
Beef, yeah.
162
Beef, okay. And where...
163
How do I eat?
164
Beef.
165
Beef.
166
Ah, okay.
167
Ha ha.
168
I'm gonna have it.
169
It's hot now.
170
Ah, okay.
171
Thank you.
172
A lot of impressions here.
173
Jesus Christ, man.
174
It's just...
175
The base is good.
176
The base is good.
177
Let's try the chicken as well.
178
I like it.
179
Have you tried?
180
No?
181
Have you tried foe?
182
No. Huh?
183
Chicken?
184
Yeah.
185
Have you tried foe?
186
No?
187
You should try.
188
Very good.
189
What's your name?
190
Robert.
191
Robert.
192
Sweden.
193
Sweden?
194
Yeah.
195
First day here in Vietnam.
196
First day?
197
Yeah.
198
I come from India. From India.
199
Where in India?
200
This is my birthday.
201
First day.
202
First day.
203
Nice.
204
Do you like it?
205
Enjoy your trip.
206
Very nice.
207
Oh my god.
208
This place is like over stimulation I would say.
209
It's kind of fun you know because when you're from a place where nothing happens as much I guess,
210
it's kind of nice to just flip everything.
211
Kind of chase the other side of the coin I guess.
212
You see something completely different.
213
It was delicious.
214
Highly recommend.
215
Action, yeah.
216
Action.
217
Hello!
218
Hi!
219
Tell me, tell me, where should they come?
220
Where to come?
221
Komodiyaha.
222
For me Komodiyaha.
223
Yeah.
224
You from Vietnam?
225
Huh?
226
You from Vietnam?
227
Where you from?
228
Sweden.
229
Sweden, yeah.
230
Sweden, yeah.
231
I make a blog here in Vietnam.
232
blog, youtube, tiktok
233
now you are on video Yeah, yeah.
234
Now what for me would you do?
235
Are you doing the balance?
236
You? In video.
237
Yeah, yeah.
238
Yeah, yeah.
239
Thank you.
240
Bye-bye.
241
Tomorrow, come back?
242
Maybe.
243
Haha, yeah.
244
If you're wondering about the fake market side of Benton, I actually filmed a whole separate video where I test my bargaining skills and try to get the best prices.
245
One is coming soon, so there you go.
246
There's another good reason to subscribe.
247
Oh man, now the real tiredness is starting to kick in.
248
I feel like I could have a coffee, but it's also a little bit late for that.
249
Like, Vietnam is huge for coffee.
250
But, I think we'll save that for tomorrow.
251
Yeah, sounds great to me.
252
And now, I want to see the modern part of Ho Chi Minh.
253
Like the Landmark 81 area, which is like the tallest building here.
254
Let's go.
255
Ugh, driver has arrived it says.
256
It's very easy when there's probably one million bikes in the city.
257
Where are you?
258
Honda Lead.
259
Let's find a Honda Lead.
260
Is it that guy maybe?
261
I don't know.
262
Ugh. And they call.
263
I can't answer.
264
I'm like on an e-sim.
265
It doesn't work.
266
Yeah, yes.
267
Thank you.
268
Okay?
269
Yeah, me, yes.
270
Let's go.
271
Okay, let's go.
272
Whoops, sorry.
273
Heavy boy.
274
Okay, okay, wait, wait, wait.
275
Okay, okay.
276
Okay, this is not on and my phone...
277
Okay, it's okay.
278
What do I do for contact at least?
279
Oh, Jesus Christ.
280
Maybe, yes, help.
281
Thank you, man.
282
Okay, enjoy your day.
283
Bye.
284
Oh man, I was so scared there to drop my phone or my mic that I'm recording on, right?
285
It was fast, bro!
286
And on the ride, I was trying to close the zipper.
287
It was open.
288
Anyways, we made it, right?
289
We're alive.
290
We're fine.
291
We didn't lose anything.
292
Here's the tallest building in Vietnam.
293
Right here, like this.
294
There we have it.
295
I think there should be some type of park in the nearby area.
296
I think, you know.
297
I guess there's only one way to find out.
298
But hey, I figured while we're here, let's check out the Vietnamese mall for the first time.
299
It feels very mixed, you know.
300
On one side you have like Uniqlo, we also have like Dior, Armani, you have cars, you know.
301
I guess there's something for everyone in here.
302
All right, Let's just not drag this whole mall part out.
303
I feel like when you've seen one mall, you've seen them all.
304
Knock my eye.
305
But it was fun to see.
306
That was inside the tallest building here in Vietnam.
307
I mean, around it, it's pretty cool to see all of these like, I don't know, apartments, I guess?
308
I say it's apartments.
309
It's definitely apartments.
310
Like what else would it be, you know?
311
That's pretty cool to live here.
312
I love tall buildings and just walking around like this little square here
313
Feels like you're in Hong Kong all of a sudden
314
I'm legit wondering how many traffic accidents there are here in Vietnam
315
because I'm gotten so comfortable with crossing now Like I'm checking my phone here for
316
The maps so I walk in the right direction and here we are.
317
Here's the park.
318
Oh my god Nice.
319
Let's check this out.
320
What a beautiful park man.
321
I mean just look at this.
322
Wow.
323
Check this out.
324
Kind of wasn't expecting this in Ho Chi Minh City, you know.
325
Whole field here like completely open, you know.
326
Nah, that is so nice.
327
People are having like picnics and stuff like that.
328
It's a place to come and hang out.
329
What do I see over there though?
330
Can you walk up in there?
331
That would be a crazy man.
332
I'm looking in the viewfinder now and wow, what is that sky bro?
333
Ho Chi Minh City, you surprised me, I'm not gonna lie.
334
Nojku daivon kan.
335
Observation house regulation.
336
Do not visit the observation house if your heath is not in a good condition
337
or you have a history of high blood pressure.
338
Heath held.
339
I think I'm fine.
340
Wow, okay.
341
That is a view.
342
Let's just call it for what it is.
343
Excuse me, can you take a picture of me?
344
Oh yes.
345
Thank you so much.
346
If you think it's better, let's try that.
347
Great, thank you so much.
348
I appreciate it.
349
Thank you.
350
Thank you.
351
Feel like I'm truly doing the most here with my day, but I've been awake for 28 hours now.
352
I'm getting ridiculously tired, but you know what would be really nice right now?
353
A massage.
354
Can I find a massage in this area?
355
Let's find out.
356
Oh my god, it's like it's meant to be.
357
Hello, do you do drop in here?
358
Do you do drop in?
359
No?
360
Book?
361
Drop in or book?
362
You can wait for a few minutes.
363
A few minutes?
364
Okay.
365
Okay, thank you.
366
I'm not gonna lie, I can't remember the last time I was this tired.
367
But I got the massage survived day one and at
368
that point I thought I had seen what Saigon was all about Turns out it was just a warm-up
369
Good morning from Saigon Vietnam day two, baby.
370
Let's go.
371
I feel like a new person today I'm not gonna lie woke up this morning Didn't know where I was.
372
I feel like
373
that is like a good indicator of a good night's sleep i slept for like 11 hours give
374
or take so yeah feeling refreshed and ready to go
375
welcome to the crib by the way this is where i'm
376
currently staying still awaiting my friend who's stuck in spain all right good yeah this place is massive all right
377
so got two bedrooms two bathrooms a kitchen huge leaving area
378
living area what is it called in english i'm not even
379
sure anyways went for a morning workout at the condo gym
380
it's like a pretty solid condo gym right you know we
381
have a smith machine you have like a cable cross like dumbbells
382
and stuff like that
383
that is not to take for granted all right it's like
384
this is actually a huge struggle with traveling me trying to
385
find like proper gyms in the area i'm staying in
386
and takes a lot of time and effort so i'm really happy
387
that i just can kick off the day within the condo i living all right
388
and then you have this like nice rooftop pool as well as a steaming room
389
so i feel like this place has it all anyways it's around 1 p.m haven't eaten yet
390
and there's this restaurant next door right like connected to the
391
building straight up you know it's a famous like chain restaurant here in vietnam so i figured i'll I'll show you guys.
392
Let's go.
393
Okay, so I am literally outside the colonel now, and I'll show you how close this restaurant is.
394
Okay, so he's passing the security here, and we have arrived.
395
And here's a photo shoot colonel as well.
396
Nice.
397
Hello.
398
Is there a line outside now, or one person?
399
One person?
400
Yeah.
401
Wait, give me a minute.
402
I checked your table.
403
Here?
404
Okay, perfect.
405
Thank you so much.
406
And you can take your bag to the basket.
407
Oh yeah, okay, perfect.
408
Thank you.
409
See the menu for you?
410
And it's by the menu by Facebook.
411
We have a screen here.
412
You can scan it on the other side.
413
Great.
414
I am going for...
415
Let's see here.
416
the pizza like that and what you can do is like do half
417
and half so what we do we go for the Milano salami chorizo margarita pizza sounds delicious
418
and then we add let's see here let's go for some spicy beef kebab pizza let's go boom there we go
419
perfect thank you so much sorry it's very hot or okay thank you Wow,
420
that looks amazing, not gonna lie.
421
Right, since it is very hot still I figured we'll try the appetizer they just came out with just minutes ago, right?
422
I'm gonna do this with a fork and knife because I don't want to get messy, alright?
423
They also suggested to try it with some honey so let's do that.
424
Alright, something like And let's dig in.
425
Yeah, the honey was great and the pizza crust is like, I mean, not too thin, not too big.
426
How I like it, you know?
427
All right, let's go ahead and try the pizza, right?
428
So this was the salami pizza.
429
So let's try that first.
430
Wow, okay.
431
That was great.
432
So tomato sauce is hitting, alright.
433
That was so good, man.
434
Alright, let's try the kebab pizza as well.
435
So kebab pizza is like a huge thing back in Sweden where I'm from.
436
So let's see how deep the meat's kebab pizza holds up, alright.
437
Okay, yeah.
438
Damn, that was really good, man.
439
It's different, but I like it.
440
The kebab was like slightly spicy, but not like overtill, right?
441
It's like a good level of spiciness, right?
442
For someone like me who's perhaps not the best with spicy food.
443
Would I recommend coming here?
444
100%.
445
Give it a go if you're in Vietnam, man.
446
Okay, so I just ordered a Grab bike.
447
No, I haven't learned anything from yesterday.
448
but I found this cool function with my phone because I get
449
so much criticism in my comment section whenever I travel to some place I don't know the language of
450
which is pretty much the entire world besides English speaking countries
451
and Sweden whatever I've done this okay look hello Xin chร o
452
Xin chร o that's how you say hello in Vietnamese isn't that like a League Legends character?
453
It's like been 10 years since I played.
454
Xin chร o, Xin chร o.
455
Okay cool.
456
How do you say thank you?
457
That's a good one as well.
458
Thank you.
459
Oh, kam on ban.
460
I got some practice to do but that is very solid if I have some conversations, if I, you know, struggle a bit.
461
Grab should be here like any minute now.
462
Hey bro, what's your name?
463
What's your name?
464
Hia, nice to meet you.
465
You from here?
466
Nice, nice.
467
Bye bye.
468
I gotta say, riding one of these motorbike taxes here in Vietnam is like one of these must-do things here, to be honest.
469
I don't care if you're scared or riding.
470
This is like a cultural experience.
471
Hello.
472
What's your name?
473
What's your name?
474
What's your name?
475
My name is Hno.
476
Nice to meet you.
477
Nice to meet you.
478
Where are you from?
479
Sweden.
480
Sweden.
481
Yeah.
482
Have you been?
483
Yeah.
484
Have you been there?
485
Yeah, yeah.
486
I realized I never told you guys where I was going, but that right there, the pink church, and we used to ride.
487
I'm not going to try to ruin her shop down here.
488
Oh okay Hey Thank you so much.
489
Thank you.
490
Have a nice day Oh, okay This all of a sudden feels very local, right?
491
This is quite a difference from the District 1 shenanigans.
492

543
East side?
544
Yeah.
545
So it took a while for me to ride my bike in.
546
Ah, I got it.
547
Where it's pretty hard isn't it?
548
Huh?
549
It's pretty hot, isn't it?
550

569
that many young people here in Vietnam yet, right?
570
How do you think it's like, how's the language like overall?
571
Do people speak English here or what is it like?
572
Well, I think if you travel around the city, I think there's a lot of young people now,
573
especially from high school, they can have, you know, conversational.
574
Right.
575
They can be very conversational.
576
Right.
577
But because a lot of people, we have a lot of foreigners from the outside of the country.
578
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
579
So a lot of people can, you know, if you ask them for their direction, I think a lot of people can do that.
580
But for going, you know, to introduce you to the history of the city or something more than that, you're gonna have to look for someone else.
581
What's your name?
582
My name is Duke.
583
Duke?
584
Yeah.
585
How do you spell it?

601
No problem.
602

605
Like that.
606
Down there, I guess.
607
Only one way to find out.
608
Jesus Christ, man.

633

754
I don't feel like that is appropriate at all.
755
You know, like I might mess around a lot, but I have boundaries as well.
756
I don't cross certain lines, all right.
757
And this is one of them.
758
I think the play right now is walking one direction.

See where we end up, right?

789
Very mundane, very boring, and now I'm here in Ho Chi Minh City on a little...
790
I don't even know what to call this vehicle, but life can be different if you force it, right?
791
You don't have to be stuck in your bubble, right?
792
Go out there, explore the world, see what it got to offer.
793
The world's your oyster.

You know, he wanted 200,000.
804
I've happily paid.
805

807
It's like, one side you have fresh bakery stuff.
808

855
Really all I need is a table.
856
Like I just need to place this somewhere.
857
I can't be standing, I need my hands free, right?
858
Like honestly, maybe I can buy a water at a restaurant and just sit down at a table.
859
Maybe.
860
I'm just looking for a place to sit down and eat my food.
861
Can I pay to sit in this restaurant?
862
This.
863
Can I eat him a bird?
864
Oh yeah, yeah.
865
So I just really...
866
I just need a place to sit down and I can pay just to sit down, if that makes sense.
867
You just need to sit down.
868
Yeah, yeah.
869
I can find a place to sit and eat.
870
It's not worth it.
871
It's worth it.

917
Oh, okay.
918
We'll do this with a fork and spoon here.
919
Mmm.
920
Mmm, not fair.
921
It's kind of like juicy in a sense.
922
I don't know how to explain.
923
It's like some sauce on this very different pizza from anything
924
else i've had i think it's like this oh there's some banh mi sauce you have on
925
so i guess that's why it's called banh mi pizza
