Today, I'm going to be giving prospective Morrowind players a few

helpful tips on maximizing one's experience with this absolute gemstone of a video game.

See, TES 3 is by far the best of the TES games released since that nightmarish 2D behemoth, Daggerfall, was dumped upon the world in 1E 1996.

But it's often intimidating to mortals who were introduced to the series through hilariously inadequate titles like Oblivion or Skyrim.

But I'm here to assure said mortals that so long as they embrace the supreme intelligence of these tips, There will be nothing to fear.

So yeah, anyway, tip number one, and this is mighty important, folks, be a Dunmer.

Listen, folks, I've been at this villain thing a long time, and I gotta say it is a real kick in the

Molag ball sack every time I see some non -Dunmeri poser

blunder into my mountain like they even belong on this island at all.

You're playing a game called Morrowind.

Maybe show a little more respect and put some effort into immersing yourself with the indigenous locals.

To be clear, you'll still be an outlander, so unfortunately that NY label's gonna stick with you in perpetuity, but hey, at least you're trying, and that's what really counts.

Any non -Dunmer protagonist is a false incarnate anyway.

On to tip number two, and a real entertaining one if I do say so myself: Ruin Fargoth's life.

Fargoth here is usually the first person you'll meet upon being released by the mongrel dogs of the Empire in Seda -Neen.

You see, unfortunately for Fargoth, he was born a bosmer, which means he was born a joke.

Bummer for him, but it won't take long for him to ask if you've seen an enchanted heirloom he's recently had stolen.

Yes, the very heirloom you found before getting out of the clink.

Go ahead and hand it over to him and do it warmly.

Befriend this little En -Hua

and pretend to be one of the only people he's ever

met who somehow resisted sticking a kick me sign to his back.

Then wait until nightfall, walk up to the hollowed -out tree stump where he hides everything he holds dear, and snag both the aforementioned heirloom and his entire life savings.

Break into his house and steal the rest of his earthly possessions, too, and then sell them to the only actual friend he's ever had,

who, by the way, is so dumbed down by centuries of Altmer inbreeding that he'll not only buy all the stolen goods, but do so at even more lucrative rates.

Now you've got a loaded purse, sweet Nerevar.

You're welcome.

Why not go treat yourself and buy a nice new pair of exquisite shoes?

Or an Argonian?

And so we proceed to tip number three: bend this game to your will until it breaks, and then keep playing.

As the one true god of Morrowind, it was I who dreamed this entire world and its mechanics into existence.

which means all the exploits and cheesable cheats entailed are my heartfelt gifts to you, my sweet, darling, beloved Nerevar.

So make those freakishly powerful potions.

Use them to boost your stats to unfathomable heights.

And sell the spares to the mud crab merchant to make yourself even richer than your homicidal, backstabbing, gold -digging, home -wrecking witch of an ex -wife.

and then come take your rightful place at my side with the sixth house and the tribe unmourned.

and we can watch rom -coms together on Dwemerflix.

Onward toward tip number four: respect local labor laws.

As if the Imperials haven't oppressed the Dunmer enough already, now they're trying to take our slaves away by allowing radical

terrorist groups like the Twin Lamps to keep trampling on our liberties.

These stark raving extremists spit in the face of all downtrodden Dunmer,

with abhorrent and sacrilegious practices like treating Argonians with basic decency, and not skinning Khajiit alive to make hats,

coats, and scarves out of their fur.

It's your duty as Nerevar's reincarnation to defend Morrowind against such dire threats to Dunmer freedom.

So when you load your latest test 3 save and some smarmy gecko struts up to you asking, "Have you seen the twin lamps?" smile and say, "Why, yes, I have.

They're down there in the pits of that egg mine.

Now put this bracer on and go fucking join them." Alright, tip number 5.

Do not accept drinks from Crassius Curio.

I think you all understand what's being insinuated here.

And do bear in mind Curio's on record targeting Argonians as well, so not even your pets are safe.

This guy's a pig and a public menace.

Tip number six, and this is probably the most important tip the sixth house in the tribe unmourned has to offer.
