Good morning everybody!

I am staying at a beautiful villa and today we are going to learn English using the world around us.

So what's the plan?

Well the plan is I'm going to go to a coffee shop right now.

I have my rucksack or my backpack on my back.

I'm ready, we're going to go do some work.

After that I'm gonna come back here to this villa and show you guys around this beautiful place.

There is a gorgeous pool and it's actually right by the beach so we'll see that later.

I'm excited.

Let's go on the walk and of course learn loads of English.

Look this is a hedge and the hedge is running parallel to the alleyway.

I am walking down an alleyway or a lane or a path.

Down here is a narrow alley.

Narrow.

So my right is a yellow building.

Up there is a balcony where people can stand and look out.

Today the sky is very cloudy.

You can say cloudy or overcast.

Here we have some beautiful red flowers coming from this tree.

The flowers are sprouting from the tree.

There is a man riding past on a yellow motorbike.

Let's keep going.

This is a cart.

There are wheels on the cart and lots of different things.

This is a box.

This looks like an old gas hob or a cooker.

This is a ladder.

And that motorbike is pulling the cart.

The man is putting cushions on the motorbike.

This is an entrance to that yellow villa or building.

To my right here, there is art on the wall.

And we call this a mural.

What does this art mean?

Always ask questions.

Above my head there are trees.

So this tree here with the spiky leaves is called a palm tree.

And the one next to it with the long leaves is called a banana tree,

which gives us bananas.

Lovely.

Down here we have a motorbike.

there is a white helmet on the motorbike.

This is the license plate.

These are the tires, the rubber parts,

and inside are the rims.

This is the engine of the motorbike.

These are the handlebars, and this,

hello, is the wing mirror.

One more thing about the motorbike or the scooter,

this is the brake and you pull the brake which stops the bike.

These are the headlights which help you to see when it's dark.

Right now it's not dark,

it is actually very cloudy.

When it's cloudy like this it's common for us to say it's overcast.

The weather today is overcast.

It's.. the sun is actually peeking through the clouds over there,

so hopefully, fingers crossed, it's going to be sunny later

when we get back to the villa so I can take a dip in the pool.

Before I mentioned street art, this is called graffiti.

Graffiti is when somebody writes letters on the wall in this style.

This is graffiti.

There is a motorbike.

That motorbike just passed me and to my left here are some posters.

The posters are stuck on the wall.

Somebody came and stuck them to the wall.

The posters are advertising, live music.

Different types of musicians perhaps playing in this area.

I love music so maybe I'll go see. Who knows.

There is a car coming down the narrow alley.

And he just looked at me funny so maybe I shouldn't have filmed him but you can't please everybody.

All right let's keep going.

That is a grab driver, very common in Vietnam.

The grab drivers deliver your food to you or deliver other things to you.

A delivery driver we say in the UK.

Now I'm on the main road.

So this is the main road behind me and there is traffic going past me.

There's a boy on a pushbike and then there are people on a motorbike.

On the side of the road here we have the pavement.

This is the pavement or sidewalk as they say in US and this is the road.

So I'm gonna continue to walk along the road but first, best spa.

That is a spa where you get a massage.

Somebody rubs your back your head,

your hands, your feet and it helps you to relax.

I like to get massages because I work a lot

so it's nice for somebody to rub me to feel relaxed, feel relieved.

Again there is another motorbike which is towing a cart.

The cart is attached to the back of the motorbike and the motorbike would tow that cart.

Hey, here we have a little dog.

All right, she's not interested in me.

I've arrived at a little shop,

tapois, which I think is just like a mini mart

or we can also say convenience store or in the UK we actually say a corner shop,

which is like a small shop that sells confectionery items,

crisps, chocolates and other stuff.
