Why don't Republicans just actually focus on trying to convince the American people that Republicans are committed to turning their lives around?

It's because Republicans have been such a disaster in terms of the economy,

health care, immigration enforcement, the Epstein scandal and the ongoing cover-up that is being led by the Trump administration,

and of course the reckless and costly Republican war of choice that is failing in real time,

as the American people have concluded, in the Middle East.
