1
Hi, this is Mark Tornello from Accept.
2
I'm just here to let you all know
3
that I'm going to be appearing on the new A Sound of Thunder album called It Was Metal.
4
I'm doing a little duet with my good friend Nina on a song called The Final Phantom Flight.
5
When they first played this song for me I thought to
6
myself this sounds a lot like a little like Black Sabbath meets Iron Maiden.
7
Really pings my interest.
8
Really cool tracks and really good lyrical content going on in there
9
and I think you're really gonna dig it a sound of
10
thunder has a Kickstarter for this album go to kickstart.com it was metal a sound of thunder
11
and it's gonna be a record store near you very soon you can get your copy first
12
if you do the Kickstarter alright rock on
13
A hidden nightmare Turned reality one day Falling from the sky The girls came out to play
14
Disguised by war machines We could not see their face A firestorm of death revealed Cadets by the human race
15
Turn back to fight The husband knows we tried
16
Turn back and through and cue The shatters near the dead When they rose and took place Hey,
17
this is Josh, guitarist from A Sound of Thunder.
18
You just heard a little bit of Phantom Flight.
19
We're so honored to have Mark Tarnillo on guest vocals on that song.
20
He totally nailed it.
21
I can't wait for you guys to hear the whole song.
22
The song's going to be on our album, It Was Metal, which is only available on Kickstarter right now.
23
So, what is Kickstarter?
24
Why should you do one of these Kickstarter things?
25
Well, I will tell you.
26
First of all, we're not just asking for handouts.
27
We're going to give you a ton of stuff with your pledge if you back the campaign.
28
but Kickstarter exists for us and many other bands to defeat the illegal downloading phenomenon.
29
So when we put our album out next year, within hours it will be on dozens of illegal download sites around the world.
30
That is not good for bands.
31
To combat that a little bit we'll put the album up on Spotify
32
and other streaming services where we'll get paid a fraction of a cent every time somebody plays a song.
33
Not great, but it's the way it is now.
34
There's a generation of fans that have been trained not to pay for music now.
35
So we're here, we're relying on the elite heavy metal soldiers, the people that believe music is worth something, is worth money, and that it's important.
36
And that's what we're doing on the Kickstarter.
37
We're going to raise the funds that we need to make this album
38
and get all the rewards out from a relatively small amount of people who believe in the band, who believe in heavy metal.
39
And we hope that you'll check out the campaign and choose to back it.
40
Please share it.
41
Spread the word.
42
Thank you very much.
