I'm doing a little duet with my good friend Nina on a song called The Final Phantom Flight.

myself this sounds a lot like a little like Black Sabbath meets Iron Maiden.

Really pings my interest.

The song's going to be on our album, It Was Metal, which is only available on Kickstarter right now.

So, what is Kickstarter?

Why should you do one of these Kickstarter things?

Well, I will tell you.

First of all, we're not just asking for handouts.

We're going to give you a ton of stuff with your pledge if you back the campaign.

but Kickstarter exists for us and many other bands to defeat the illegal downloading phenomenon.

So when we put our album out next year, within hours it will be on dozens of illegal download sites around the world.

That is not good for bands.

To combat that a little bit we'll put the album up on Spotify

and other streaming services where we'll get paid a fraction of a cent every time somebody plays a song.

Not great, but it's the way it is now.

There's a generation of fans that have been trained not to pay for music now.

So we're here, we're relying on the elite heavy metal soldiers, the people that believe music is worth something, is worth money, and that it's important.

And that's what we're doing on the Kickstarter.

We're going to raise the funds that we need to make this album

and get all the rewards out from a relatively small amount of people who believe in the band, who believe in heavy metal.

And we hope that you'll check out the campaign and choose to back it.
