1
Hello, and welcome back to my Slow English Podcast.
2
Today, I want to talk about my day.
3
so far because my day isn't over yet.
4
It's just beginning.
5
Today I woke up at 5 a.m. in the morning.
6
It was brutal.
7
Finding the motivation to wake up at 5am can be very difficult,
8
But I always feel inspired to wake up,
9
go for a run, and take a swim at the beach.
10
Because the beach at 5 a.m is so, so peaceful.
11
It's super relaxing.
12
And for me, it's the best way to start my day.
13
Plus, the beach is completely empty at 5 or 6 a.m.
14
So I get to enjoy the beach all by myself.
15
I ran to the beach.
16
I swam for a little bit.
17
And then I sat in the sand and I took a moment to breathe.
18
and meditate for a little bit.
19
I stretched for a little bit.
20
Then I was ready to walk back home.
21
Then I was ready to walk back to the room that I'm staying in.
22
This room was only 5,000 Mexican pesos.
23
So very cheap.
24
I have an amazing view.
25
I love looking through the window and watching all of the waves crashing onto the shore.
26
Puerto Escondido is one of my favorite places in the world.
27
It really does have a special place in my heart.
28
I got back home and I was starving.
29
So hungry, my belly hurt and ached.
30
So I went to the kitchen to make myself a smoothie.
31
with spinach, pineapple, and water.
32
A nice green juice to start my day.
33
Now I'm recording for my YouTube channel before going to meet my boyfriend at his work.
34
He is working at a hotel at the moment.
35
So, I'll take a green juice, maybe some lunch, and go see him for a little bit.
36
Then, I'll work on my computer, I'll finish checking some emails,
37
meals, and then I plan to go to the beach again.
38
I really like eating dinner at home or in a kitchen.
39
I really love having home-cooked meals.
40
that are prepared at home.
41
And here I have a kitchen,
42
so I always prefer to make something here rather than going out to eat at a restaurant.
43
Don't get me wrong, I love eating out.
44
I love sitting down, ordering a meal,
45
asking for recommendations or suggestions,
46
trying new dishes, and tipping the waiters or waitresses for their hard work,
47
talking and chatting with friends.
48
But I think I love cooking and eating at home with a movie on my computer even more.
49
why I prefer eating at home.
50
What do you prefer?
51
Eating at home or eating out?
52
And tell me why.
53
After swimming at the beach, I'll probably start cooking something for dinner.
54
I'm thinking pasta, but I'm also craving hamburgers.
55
I also think ceviche sounds really good.
56
Ceviche is a dish in Mexico with so many vegetables and fish.
57
It's so yummy.
58
And usually after eating dinner,
59
I take 30 minutes to study Chinese.
60
I've been feeling really inspired in learning Chinese lately.
61
It's difficult to find time to study a language every day.
62
I know.
63
That's why I enjoy trying to make learning English a lot easier.
64
I think even five minutes of practicing is more than enough.
65
There's no need to put
66
so much pressure on yourself to study for one hour or two hours a day.
67
You can make it so much easier by just listening
68
and maybe watching a movie in English or the language that you're trying to learn.
69
I love my Chinese teacher because she just speaks to me and it feels like the lesson goes by so fast.
70
But it's because I'm enjoying myself.
71
I don't feel the time passing by.
72
Tell me, what's your favorite way of learning English?
73
Watching videos, listening to podcasts,
74
or writing and working on grammar structures?
75
Tell me in the comments.
76
After I study Chinese, I'll probably just relax,
77
watch TikToks, and fall asleep.
78
And take a shower, of course.
79
I always forget to mention taking a shower.
80
And everyone in the comments asks me, teacher, you don't take a shower?
81
And I say, yes, I do.
82
I just forgot to mention it in the video.
83
Tell me about your day so far.
84
or if you haven't even started the day, congratulations!
85
You're starting your day very well with English practice to pursue your passions and that's excellent!
