Vietnam's own education system has got many merits to it and so it's not a case of just

importing ideas from another part of the world

but I think all economies around the world are thinking about the next phase of their development

and the education that needs to go with that and

that includes a whole range of things of course the use of technology

and AI and the mindful use of AI I think is really important

because of course it has great advantages but we need to also develop, particularly in the younger years,

that cognitive development, those thinking skills that enable older learners to use AI rather than be used by it.

I think also it's thinking in a very adaptable, integrated way.

Cross-curricular thinking, I think, is very important and developing adaptability because all we know, the only constant in the world is change.

So it's that ability to adapt to the future

that we don't yet know what it's going to look like and the resilience to manage that path through the future.

That I think is the very heart of a good education and that's not just in Vietnam, it's anywhere, it's in the UK as well.

We're all grappling with the rapid change in technology and how that's affecting everybody.
