1
Figma just launched some major cool new updates.
2
Some of these updates we've been waiting for for more than 10 years now, and we finally get to experience these.
3
Let's check out everything that is new in the past couple of weeks.
4
Before we dive into it, I'm hosting the India Designathon, a massive competition with networking, learning sessions, and of course, really cool prizes.
5
The link will be in the description.
6
All right, so to begin with, the long-awaited folders feature is here.
7
Figma is now replacing projects with folders.
8
So no longer will you see the old project screens like you used to.
9
Instead, inside a team, you will find folders at the top, multiple folders, as many as you can create, and drafts outside those folders.
10
Each folder can be color-coded and renamed manually, and you can star each folder.
11
It also has a nested folder feature.
12
That means you can drag and drop a folder into another folder.
13
This way you can create 10 nested folders.
14
Hopefully they'll expand those.
15
You can even give individual permissions inside individual folders.
16
Inside a team, a certain set of designers might have access to only one folder.
17
The only problem with this update is that nested folders is only available to premium users.
18
So if you're on a premium plan, a paid plan, you will be getting nested folders.
19
But for free users, you can only create one folder and no nested or subfolders.
20
I just wish Figma would just keep at least one feature 100% free.
21
You might not see this inside your Figma app immediately.
22
They're rolling this feature out slowly over the next coming weeks, so maybe wait a few days.
23
The next major update is inside Figma Make.
24
Figma is solving a massive problem.
25
In Figma Make, you could vibe code or vibe design, but tweaking those designs manually was a headache.
26
Syncing changes between AI and the canvas was very difficult.
27
Now they've launched a properties panel inside Figma Make, very similar to what we have inside the Figma design tool.
28
Now you can actually change fonts, alignment, add or remove strokes, border radius, things like that.
29
And it automatically gets added or applied into your vibe coded projects.
30
You can change spacing, layouts, grids, and so much more also.
31
So it's not just cosmetic.
32
It's also based on the layouts as well.
33
Another cool feature inside Figma Make is the annotations feature.
34
So just like annotations in Figma Design or Figma AI, you can sort of leave these comments for AI.
35
And based on where that comment was left or what context has been given to the AI, it will again auto-apply it from the AI panel on the left.
36
So you can get many different changes at once without having to reprompt again and again.
37
A huge time saver and you can even save on credits so it's a cost saver as well.
38
You can now run simultaneous image editing and generation at one go.
39
So instead of having to edit one image at a time with Figma AI, you can actually select an image, give a command to tweak or change that image with Figma AI
40
and then jump onto the other image without having to wait for the first image to load
41
or first image to get tweaked by the AI.
42
Figma is bringing the biggest design event of the year all the way to India.
43
If you're an Indian viewer, which a lot of you guys are,
44
you can actually book tickets for an offline Figma meetup or the Figma config happening here in India in Bangalore.
45
New update announcements, cool activities, networking, food, all that good stuff.
46
You can grab your tickets.
47
The link will be in the description.
48
It's very confusing, this AI era for designers.
49
So it's always good that a tool like Figma is taking out an AI report.
50
They just released this.
51
It's called Figma 2026 AI report.
52
It goes through all the research they've done with their own
53
users to find what the trend in a design workspace is like.
54
So how many teams are using AI?
55
How they are using the AI tools inside their design workflows?
56
How is it affecting the jobs?
57
What roles is it filling?
58
Figma is finally offering two weeks free of Figma Weave.
59
If you don't know what Figma Weave is, it's their AI counterpart for node-based image and video editing as well as AI automation.
60
If you want to try it out for free and see how it fits into the Figma design workflow, then I will have links,
61
relevant links to official Figma resources that they've just launched and they've made it free for two weeks.
62
If you want to not miss out on design news, updates, features, tools, all of that good stuff, then make sure you subscribe to the channel,
63
like the video if you did, and I will see you in the next one.
64
Until next time, take care.
65
God bless.

Video consigliato

La velocità del discorso è moderata, con pause naturali che facilitano il follow, e l'uso di espressioni come "some of these updates we've been waiting for" o "let's check out" rende il contenuto accessibile e realistico.

  • "Figma just launched some major cool new updates": L'ordine "major cool new" è tipico dell'inglese parlato, dove gli aggettivi seguono un flusso logico (importanza, valutazione, novità) invece di una struttura rigida. Questo rende la frase fluida e spontanea.
  • "The only problem with this update is that nested folders is only available to premium users": L'uso di "the only problem is that" è una formula comune per esprimere critiche in modo costruttivo, molto utile nella conversazione. La clausola "is only available" è semplice ma efficace per comunicare limitazioni.
  • "You might not see this inside your Figma app immediately": "Might not" e "immediately" sono esempi di modalità e avverbi che aggiungono nuance al discorso, evitando affermazioni troppo forti.
