First of all, let's break down the medical vocabulary into three sections.
9
We have injuries, we have illnesses, we have diseases.
10
Okay?
11
Okay?
12
First thing to understand, an injury is always about the physical body.
13
Okay?
14
It's bones, it's tissues, it's skin, it's all these things.
15
Illness is inside the body, but it's usually shorter.
16
Okay?
17
It doesn't last a long time, and you can usually get rid of it.
18
You can fix it somehow.
19
Diseases, on the other hand, they're also inside, but they take a long time, and quite often they can kill you.
20
Okay?
21
Okay?
22
Some diseases, nothing you can do about them.
23
There's no cure for them.
24
But some diseases you can treat.
25
Okay?
26
We'll talk about that as well.
27
You can treat them, but there's no cure necessarily.

38
you're cooking something, and you touch the hot plate, you will burn your hand.
39
Okay?
40
Okay?
41
So if you burn your hand, it'll stink a little bit, it'll hurt a lot, but you can put some lotion on it,
42
take care of it.
43
A brake.
44
Now, if you go skiing and by accident you fall down, you can break your leg.
45
Or if you go bicycling, like off -road, like trail biking, you fall down, you break your leg, break your arm, break something,
46
like a bone inside somewhere broke.
47
But you could also fall and sprain something.
48
A sprain means like almost a break.
49
Like, for example, you fall down on your ankle.
50

58
Next, we have illness.
59
Now, everybody gets ill at some time.
60
If you say sickness, it means the same thing.
61
Sickness, illness, exactly the same thing.

75
You have a flu, you have a cold, you have something.

86

91
Sad, but true.
92
That's how it works.
93
Cancer is a terminal disease in most cases.
