Pratica di Shadowing: REAL American English Conversation With Native Speakers - Impara a parlare inglese con i video

Creazione lezione...
1
Hello, people of the internet.
2
I have a special guest with me today.
3
We have a very special video.
4
I am finally giving you a conversation with a native English speaker other than me, because, you know, I have conversations with myself on this channel.
5
But in this video, we're talking to Gustavo, also known as Gus.
6
I know he is the second Gustavo on this channel that I've had.
7
The other one was from Argentina, but he wasn't a native speaker.
8
This one is a
9
um puerto rico i don't know what else you want me
10
to say in spanish um puerto rico calm down before you click off he grew up in puerto rico
11
but he is a native english speaker
12
when i first heard him talk i thought
13
that he grew up in the continental united states now puerto rico is a u.s territory
14
but normally people in puerto rico they don't speak like you know like exactly like english native speakers
15
that grew up in like new york and colorado and california and you know but this man
16
if he told me i grew up in new york colorado
17
california i would say of course you did i don't notice the difference between him
18
and other native speakers if you want to fight me in the comments about it don't
19
because he is a native speaker tell us how you are
20
a native speaker even though you grew up in puerto rico
21
i basically um learned both languages at the same time um
22
even growing up early my grandfather would speak english to me
23
he grew up in new york he was puerto rican he moved there with his family early on
24
and then he moved back to puerto rico started businesses here met my grandmother, you know, all that.
25
So he used to speak English to me when I was growing up.
26
And I also went to a school that had a pretty good English program.
27
They had most of the classes were in English.
28
So I got a good exposure to it.
29
And just, I think I took more into it because of like American pop culture, music, video games, just media in general.
30
I consumed a lot of TV shows in English.
31
Just having a lot of exposure to the language early on
32
um i think i i developed pretty good um a pretty good accent from
33
that just just from like listening i think a lot of
34
of it was comprehensible input just spending a lot of time listening to the language just helped
35
and i was exposed to it a lot
36
so i think that's what contributed to me having less of
37
a noticeable accent than other people especially older people in the
38
island i think a lot of the older people they didn't
39
grow up with the with american pop culture the internet
40
so they don't have as they're not gonna have as good of an accent
41
so i think just growing up being gen z growing up around the internet i think
42
that that helps a lot that helped me a lot
43
and you also told me that you had exposure with people who weren't your family okay so
44
when i was growing up um i used to live in
45
a community that's like it's um like it's villas it's basically uh um
46
but it's a lot it was a there was a pretty big community there
47
and there were people from all over um there's some people
48
from new york some people from tennessee like literally left lived right next to me
49
so i used to hang out with them i'll play board games with them you know i talked to them
50
because they were friends they're family friends so they would come over i i
51
so i had a lot of exposure to speaking english with neighbors
52
and early on so
53
that probably helped a lot too um you played with kids
54
oh yeah american kids yeah definitely i would go i lived literally next to a hotel
55
so i would just sneak in there and i would make friends there
56
so that was yeah i was very towards the area too
57
so it's like next to hotels and it's dorado um if you know in puerto rico dorado um
58
there's a lot of hotels there's a lot of um tourists it's a tourist um town basically
59
and you also went to a school all in english yes pretty much anything more to say about
60
that like can you imagine like your school 100 in english
61
like everything in english you're gonna learn english yeah definitely
62
that helps a lot yeah the only class
63
that was in spanish was the spanish class that's funny
64
so you essentially went to like the same school i went to
65
but just in puerto rico exactly yeah
66
and the students were puerto rican yes most of them were
67
puerto rican there were some who came from the mainland
68
and just studied there
69
because they could um they had the clashes english it was easier for them
70
so there were some americans at that school okay but just to be clear
71
like gus is a special case because he's acting like oh
72
if you just expose yourself to american culture blah blah blah blah
73
but he was privileged
74
because a lot of puerto ricans like we have a friend he's fluent as hell in english
75
but he still has a very strong like puerto rican accent yeah
76
so gus gus had the opportunity the privilege to like actually learn english like a native speaker learns english basically
77
so we're or almost like that so so yeah
78
so don't be thinking everybody in puerto rico talks like him
79
but um i would say
80
that on average like compared to the rest of spanish speaking
81
latin america puerto rico has a higher level of english yeah i think
82
so yeah and the younger generation are gonna be better at it i think gen z
83
and gen alpha the new generation coming up like my um
84
my cousin um her her her daughter speaks perfect english too
85
and like she speaks this
86
because she's always on her she's always like on social media
87
on tick tock on just watching american content tv shows the owl house she watches
88
that she's always watching you know american cartoon
89
so of course you're gonna pick it up that's true that's
90
cool do you still feel like there's just a certain level of effortlessness
91
and comfort like when you're speaking spanish compared to english
92
or do you feel like like what our friend ari said like
93
because he has explored so many advanced topics in english
94
but not in spanish sometimes he feels like he can communicate even easier in english
95
so how does your brain think about speaking spanish versus english
96
at this point yeah i think um maybe in english is better for like deeper topics
97
because i've read more books in english
98
so i think yeah i think my vocabulary is a little bit better um
99
when it comes to like more advanced things
100
but i don't know i think i can do both
101
but i want to use spanglish if it's like
102
if i start speaking spanish
103
and doing in those topics i'm probably going to switch to
104
english for certain things i'm just um certain i think yeah i think i do that but
105
when you're just like at home farting around you know just
106
whatever like you're you wake up in the morning your brain
107
isn't even like fully awake yet like do you go to like thoughts in spanish the comments in spanish first
108
or no it depends it depends on what i was doing the day before
109
if i was interacting with a lot of people who speak english then i'm probably gonna go to english or
110
if i was like watching um videos in english then it's gonna be my brain's gonna be in english mode
111
but if i was um watching something in spanish
112
or talking to people in spanish all day then i'm probably
113
gonna be in spanish mode i think it just switches yeah that's kind of crazy
114
but cool yeah that happens to me if if I'm speaking a lot of Spanish.
115
Switches.
116
I mean, I also speak a little bit of German and sometimes German gets in there.
117
Like I'll start speaking it out of nowhere.
118
You're not fluent in German.
119
No, not at all.
120
I'm like an A2 to a B1 maybe at best.
121
But you want to be fluent.
122
I would like to learn more.
123
And you want to go to Germany?
124
Definitely want to go at some point.
125
This man grew up in the Paradise Island of Puerto Rico and he just dreamed of being on the streets of Berlin.
126
Oh yeah.
127
It's hard to see as interesting as the opposite.
128
So you kind of want to see the complete opposite when you travel, I think.
129
You want to see something you don't have access.
130
Do you think Berlin is really the opposite of Puerto Rico?
131
Very different.
132
Yeah.
133
People are less, they're colder probably.
134
They're, the, the language is different.
135
The culture is different.
136
Public transportation is better.
137
It's a different society.
138
It's a different culture and completely, completely different culture.
139
Yeah.
140
You know, we always want what we don't have.
141
The grass is always greener on the other side, right?
142
But, but you love Puerto Rico.
143
I do love it, yeah.
144
And I appreciate it more the older I get, the more I've appreciated it.
145
Why so?
146
I don't know.
147
I appreciate the climate more.
148
I've interacted with people who live in the States with the cold weather.
149
And the more I've gotten into fitness, surfing, cycling, the more outdoorsy I've become, the more I appreciate living here because I can just do that year round.
150
If I was living somewhere where it was cold, I couldn't do the things I do year round.
151
so I've come to appreciate that way more as I've gotten older I don't think about that much
152
but I used to want to be in the cold I used to like oh I want to see snow
153
so fucking bad I've never seen it and yeah
154
but every person I talk to seeing snow they're like fuck
155
that it's the worst thing ever you can't go outside like yeah
156
so yeah I am from there but you always have
157
that curiosity about something you can't experience
158
so you just want to see the other thing you know
159
the new thing I think that's different from what you grew
160
up with no I I grew up in snow land and I am a tropical woman at heart.
161
That's what I always say.
162
I always dreamed of the tropics.
163
So I am happy here in Puerto Rico.
164
Yeah, same.
165
I'm happy.
166
Yeah, I do want to do more traveling.
167
No, traveling is great.
168
But yeah, I don't think you're missing out on snow.
169
Yeah, no, I don't think so.
170
You can travel to warm places.
171
You can go to Germany in the summer.
172
Exactly.
173
That's what I'd probably do.
174
Actually, my aunt, who travels a lot, she likes to go to cold countries
175
because she's from Puerto ricos she likes to go to norway
176
she likes to go i think she went to very south
177
of um argentina like to the very like the coldest places
178
you can go she likes to go into europe in the
179
winter time she like loves the snow some people love it some people are like
180
that yeah they're like the different vibe some people like to
181
freeze yeah i guess i would like to try it i
182
would like to do crazy where it's really cold just to
183
see how much i can bear like maybe cycling in like very cold conditions
184
or like running in very cold conditions or just jumping in lakes
185
that are freezing i would love to do shit like
186
that just to challenge myself it just popped into my head
187
that we have a good topic we could talk about
188
because you're like an extreme guy into i guess everything like
189
fitness related right yeah pretty much bodybuilding calisthenics cycling surfing rock
190
climbing i've done a little bit of um just yeah challenges in general calisthenics i do a lot of um
191
so yeah i do a lot of it i'm very passionate about it i love it
192
and you yeah you could do that anywhere
193
so you like the idea of challenge challenging yourself in different climates
194
and places fitness related challenges well definitely i would love to
195
do like the crazier the better like doing like 100 running
196
100 miles in the freezing cold it i'll do it like
197
that's yeah i love the extreme like the like challenging myself
198
making myself as uncomfortable as i possibly can i love doing like
199
that the more challenging the better you like taking cold showers uh i've done it
200
and yeah i do ice baths ice baths i haven't done
201
because i just don't feel like setting the thing up but
202
if i had had access to it I probably would even
203
though I don't think there's much of a benefit to them
204
I think it's just more for like the mental thing
205
or for like the the fun of it because I don't think plays
206
that much of a role in recovery I could be wrong
207
but I've heard people study saying that it's not that important
208
but that doesn't do much I've heard it's more of a fad thing
209
but I don't know yeah wake up shock your system yeah I don't think you have to do
210
that but not only are you super into fitness
211
and you have a great physique and you're very strong
212
and capable and you're a cyclist
213
and you can bike all around the island like it's nothing
214
in the heat in the sun you are also vegan yeah
215
so tell us tell us about how you are a vegan
216
athlete um yeah i've been vegan for about six years i went vegan around 2019 i think 2019
217
and yeah i found that like not only
218
when i first went vegan um i was worried
219
because i didn't know much about it
220
and there's a plane just right now god damn it ruining
221
my train of thought you can you travel at a different time
222
when i'm not doing an interview no but um
223
when i first went vegan i was already into athletics i
224
was already into power lifting bodybuilding i was doing all that
225
and i was maybe worried okay i wouldn't begin for ethical
226
and environmental reasons like it was the ethical arguments
227
that appealed to me the environmental arguments
228
and i was like already into bodybuilding power lifting at
229
that time and i was worried i was going to lose my gains
230
but at the same time i was kind of having like
231
um my conscience was like um i was fighting with my conscience i was like i'm exploiting animals um
232
I'm like causing environmental damage.
233
So I was like, I can't keep doing this just to like look better or be stronger.
234
So even if I would have lost muscle, I probably still would have been vegan.
235
But not only did I not lose muscle, I noticed I would get leaner.
236
I was able to like increase all my lifts.
237
I would be getting stronger and stronger every time I was able to like, after I went vegan is when I started biking, doing more the cardio, the surfing.
238
So I noticed like my energy levels improved as I went vegan.
239
Like people will say, no, you're going to get brain fog.
240
No, no, no. Everything athletically I noticed improved as I went vegan.
241
So I haven't noticed any downsides to it.
242
At worst case scenario, it's the same as an omnivorous diet that's well-planned, that's like a bodybuilding diet.
243
But at best, I think it has benefits for athletic performance.
244
And I think I've noticed that.
245
Like vegan and healthy are not synonymous.
246
You could be an unhealthy vegan because veganism is really about animal exploitation and rejecting that.
247
But you try to eat healthy for the most part
248
and you think that that has really helped you improve your performance yeah 100 like
249
if you're healthy i mostly do like whole foods i'll have
250
like a little bit of like stuff that's not whole foods here
251
and there especially when i'm doing like cycling i'll have sugar i'll have like stuff
252
that you need to consume to like be able to perform at
253
that level like process sugars here and there but for the most part
254
when i'm eating normally it's just um whole food plant-based for
255
the most part that's mostly what i do beans soy exactly
256
say 10 oatmeal i do a lot of oatmeal protein powder in the oatmeal
257
and veggies i'm not veggies fruits i'll like throw fruit in there um for dinner i'll have like salads
258
or um sweet potato tempeh um tofu i'll do a lot of
259
that seitan here and there so yeah i just mix it up
260
but usually this whole foods plant-based for the most part do
261
you eat rice pasta bread um rice i'll eat rice um often i think i do more sweet potato um
262
and potatoes in general i think it's easier to cook
263
but um rice i'll do i just don't have to i I don't have access to a fridge right now, so I'm just using potatoes more.
264
But yeah, rice is good.
265
Pasta I love.
266
And I'll do some of those protein pastas that are with chickpeas here and there.
267
Those are really good.
268
Like the protein pastas, the edamame pasta.
269
Those are good.
270
Are you focused on like hitting a certain protein goal?
271
Like do you count, you know, your protein grams?
272
I try to get around like 0.8 grams per pound of lean body weight.
273
So for me, that's like around 120 grams.
274
So I'll try to aim for that most of the time um
275
but like sometimes i go above like usually i go above
276
because that's pretty low and i'm eating a lot of calories
277
so sometimes i'll hit a gram per pound of body weight protein like 170 grams
278
but yeah like the minimum is like usually 100 120 that's like the minimum
279
and i don't notice much of a difference going higher than
280
that and when you hit 170 grams do you feel like you're like forcing yourself to eat protein at
281
that point or it's easy um not really because i'm eating
282
so many calories like i'll easily eat like 4 000 calories a day so 4 000 3500 something like that so
283
At that point, it just comes with the amount of calories.
284
So it's super easy.
285
I think when you're cutting, it can be a little harder.
286
But still, especially if you know the food state, those goals, like it becomes easy the more you do it for the long, if you do it for a long time, you're going to get the hang of it.
287
That's true.
288
You're so active.
289
You can eat so many calories and you still be shredded.
290
Yeah, I'm like working as a surf instructor.
291
I'm there.
292
I'm going to the gym.
293
I'm biking around the city, going to the gym.
294
Like I'm doing a lot of physical activity on my days off.
295
I'll do like 60 mile bike rides, all that shit.
296
He never stops moving.
297
Yeah, exactly.
298
Most of the day I'm moving.
299
Even in his sleep, his legs are doing cycling.
300
Anything else you want to add about being a vegan, a Puerto Rican athletic, high athlete, high training.
301
Well, not high, like, you know, not on drugs, like high athleticism, no steroids, no natural, completely natty, 100% natty.
302
Anything to add about your lifestyle?
303
Anything you want to share?
304
I don't know.
305
That sums it up pretty well.
306
Is it easy to be vegan?
307
It's fucking super easy.
308
Yeah.
309
And if you want to be like me and be like, have no muscle and be skinny and not move very much in a day and also eat plant-based,
310
you can do that too because that's another option yeah
311
but his options are better yeah no that's what um what
312
you want to do like you don't have to different people
313
like different things um i'm gonna ask you some random questions
314
on the topic of food i want to ask you what is your go-to comfort food
315
or what is your like favorite food
316
or foods uh lately comfort food um probably granola and monster
317
and how do you eat your granola i eat the whole fucking bag usually and i eat it dry
318
dry the whole bag in one sitting yeah that's what i'm working
319
so it's like easy it's easy calories so i do
320
that a lot does it have a lot of protein it
321
the one i have has like 58 grams of protein
322
because it's like a protein granola
323
so the whole thing is like 50 50 what is the
324
protein in it coming from i think it's soy protein
325
or some sort of protein powder pea protein i don't know what's in it
326
but yeah and do you drink water
327
when you eat yes i do usually usually a fucking white
328
monster here are my bad habits i'm talking about my bad habits
329
but yeah yeah his guilty pleasure is monster yeah i love
330
fucking caffeine i have a serious serious caffeine addiction coffee
331
and monster yeah pretty much coffee i used to try matcha
332
but it much kind of sucks okay yeah the same kick
333
doesn't it doesn't taste as good it's not strong enough yeah
334
well what about have you ever compared like caffeine versus just
335
loading up on like a sugar like a sugary drink for energy I'll do a lot of sugar
336
if I'm doing like 100 plus mile bike rides.
337
Usually casually, I'm not doing that.
338
But yeah, the sugar thing can work.
339
But I do do it.
340
But just for longer rides, I don't do it that often when I'm just day to day.
341
It depends what I'm doing on the day.
342
But what about like talking about meals?
343
Do you have a particular like kind of meal or food that you really love?
344
Like some kind of cuisine?
345
Like do you love Puerto Rican food
346
or some kind of like? do you have any special food
347
that you like special food that i like damn i like going to restaurants here
348
and there like what we had at hp was good on
349
that burrito wraps i like those we went to a vegan restaurant last night me him
350
and all those loaded fries i had a burrito like it
351
was like a a beyond impossible meat burrito with like vegan cheese
352
and some loaded fries that was bomb
353
that was pretty good comfort food i had a burger it
354
was very authentic i felt like i was eating a cow
355
but it it was vegan it almost grossed me out
356
because it was so cow like yeah another comfort food is acai
357
but that's healthy
358
so it's like acai is good i fucking love acai i
359
just had one like before coming here i want one
360
that is a good answer to the question next one would be i wanted to ask you if money
361
and logistics didn't matter what would you be doing i would
362
probably be doing some version of the same thing i'm still doing like the hybrid athletic stuff
363
but probably travel more i don't know uh go around different
364
countries collaborating with people who are doing similar things uh that's
365
probably what do you mean similar things um people who are
366
athletes hybrid athletes people who are doing a lot of like
367
um calisthenics parkour fucking climbing surfing just probably collaborating with different
368
people meeting connecting with more people um doing more of that
369
because what i actually like doing i'm probably working less than just traveling more
370
and doing more collaborations doing more like stuff that's creative and
371
and yeah stuff like that that's probably what i'd be doing
372
yeah like the question is like if you didn't have to like even think about money or work
373
essentially you just like could do literally whatever you want that's what you would do
374
yes something similar to what i'm doing right now
375
but just not working obviously and just doing it not doing lessons
376
and just surfing myself or improving there uh well um rock climbing more
377
uh yeah just doing more outdoorsy stuff and with like-minded people yeah
378
and traveling cycling the world probably would do
379
that too i would probably that's something i've wanted to do
380
i wanted to do south america cycle from maybe i think
381
all south america probably i have a colombian friend who's a cyclist
382
and he wants to go from like alaska to patagonia oh yeah i've heard people doing
383
that that's crazy and that's doable yeah that's gonna take you maybe like two years yeah
384
but it's it's an amazing journey yeah germany you can go to europe you can do
385
that in europe europe is the easiest place to start
386
because the infrastructure is really good in europe it's safer there's more of a culture of like couch surfing um
387
and just hitchhiking all that stuff is more popular in like europe
388
so i think it's easier and safer to do it in europe first
389
but yeah i've seen people doing in africa asia
390
that stuff is amazing i don't think i would do the middle east right now
391
because of what's going on but
392
but i would love to go to the middle east afghanistan all those places they're beautiful syria all of it
393
but it's a little hot right now basically you would just live an extremely active lifestyle even more than now
394
and more in like more social probably yeah
395
and in different countries definitely i'm meeting people i'm just collaborating
396
and doing stuff and just doing like projects
397
and i don't know it's collaborations collabs yeah just meeting people
398
who are doing the same thing that's where it's at what's a challenge you faced
399
that made you stronger i think just recently i think working
400
at a hostel was like one of the most challenging things
401
because i think i just overcame a lot of my fears my social anxiety just being forced to be around
402
so many people and just running a hostel i think i'm ready for more things
403
because of that like i survived that
404
so i think i can like uh put myself in those situations more often
405
and just be fine with it i think
406
that helps with the travel thing
407
if you're comfortable just being around a lot of people different
408
people different perspective different walks of life i think that's very valuable
409
if you want to like travel if you want to do like
410
that so i think that made me stronger as a person having gone through
411
that experience living in a hostel
412
and running a hostel for a year for a year crazy in puerto rico
413
and it was the cheapest one right cheapest one
414
so a lot of crazy a lot of like you know
415
like not i don't know how to say it without being
416
rude i mean just the craziest people are gonna meet veterans
417
like they're a veteran there was like a veteran there who was an alcoholic like left the room with
418
so many beer cans like the like we had to kick him out i think
419
he called me like um i think the n-word
420
or something he like insulted me some like you n-word
421
or something something like that and uh now we i think we kicked him out
422
but afterwards the the people who do get them the housing
423
i don't know something veterans something they called um do you know um where this guy went
424
or something and they were like uh they were looking at him
425
because he was on like suicide watch or something
426
that he was like you know they were worried about him
427
do you know well he was here last well you know
428
they wanted to reach out to him there was a peruvian
429
guy who would i would be sleeping in the dorms
430
because before i had a private room i would sleep in the dorms
431
and there was this peruvian guy
432
and he would curse his ex wife in his sleep he would be like
433
that that that that that that that that
434
and he would have telenovelas on his like laptop
435
or whatever playing at full volume what's a book movie
436
or show that changed your perspective um books damn let's see uh critique of the gotha program by marks
437
that had an influence on me and made me question capitalism
438
and all that shit um thinking of a different like i'm starting to think of different alternatives
439
and i think capitalist realism mark fisher uh really like
440
that one that made me think more about like looking for alternatives
441
and stuff yeah those are those are ones
442
that i can think of off the top of my head oh i think david graver too um jobs like
443
that most jobs are like complete
444
and they they serve no real purpose like they're just they're
445
like like they don't really serve a purpose in society like society would be just the same
446
if they didn't even exist there's so many jobs like
447
that i think yeah no a lot of a lot of
448
jobs yeah a lot of jobs i think you talk about managerial class um some some forms of lawyers
449
that wouldn't have to exist um yeah we pretend to work they pretend to pay us exactly
450
if i'm going to read something i want it to be
451
non-fiction i want to learn something about some topic i'm interested
452
in i'm personally not really interested in fiction what about you i'm not
453
that interested in fiction like i don't read it
454
that often i would like to get into it i would like to be you know somebody who
455
but i think it's good i think imagination is good i think like think even
456
if something's fiction it can it can apply i think imagination is good to like
457
if you want to envision different um ways society could function
458
i think imagination i think create like stuff in fiction could become stuff
459
that you can apply into the real world i've never thought about
460
that yeah i've heard people talking about how we should like write like fiction
461
and into like um how do you say this to think
462
of alternatives into different things different ways society could work i
463
usually say with fiction books like i just want to watch the movie i don't have time for
464
that yeah but usually the book is better everybody who reads the book says is better
465
and it usually is because less budget you know more time
466
and there are certain like fiction books that are kind of saying something deeper about society like like 1984
467
for example that i think should be essential to read we read
468
that in school yeah george orwell classic
469
that kind of stuff you know is there a skill you've
470
always wanted to learn a skill i've always wanted to learn let's see
471
that i haven't learned yet front lever i haven't managed to
472
do a front lever yet that's like a calisthenic skill where you like um hold the bar
473
and you like stay completely um horizontal like i really want to learn
474
that i'm getting closer
475
but i haven't unlocked it yet i'm excited for your journey
476
yeah i think you're gonna be one of the best You're only 25.
477
We didn't even say his age.
478
He's only 25.
479
Oh, yeah, I'm 25.
480
He's so great for 25.
481
Thank you.
482
He's doing very well, right?
483
You're like, what were you doing at 25? Be honest. Be honest.
484
Not this.
485
Okay, I'm kidding.
486
No, but I want to be with you when I grow up.
487
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
488
Superpower.
489
Teleportation would be good.
490
Oh, but then you wouldn't have to ride your bike that you like doing.
491
I bet I can still do that, but then I can teleport the bike to fucking Europe
492
or Asia or like fucking South America and just do it when I want to.
493
Get rid of the planes.
494
Let's just teleport.
495
I'll be fucking awesome.
496
No, that would be that would be great because planes, I don't like planes and airports.
497
They do scare me.
498
Planes are anxiety inducing.
499
And they are not good for the environment.
500
No, they're terrible.
501
They're one of the worst.
502
So we need to work on our teleportation technology.
503
Yeah, I think so.
504
Star Trek they had like a little thing they went in
505
and they would like teleport but they would not be like the same
506
because there's like this thing like if you teleport
507
and you change every cell in your body like like this like how do you say
508
that they separate are you the same person
509
when you teleport back oh yeah scary i think pretty much have to die for like a second right
510
because your your brain your heart all is separated
511
and then it comes back together right comes back together no i never saw star trek no yeah
512
but they had the same kind of thing in harry potter teleportation.
513
Yeah, I saw a few episodes of Star Trek.
514
Are you a nerd at heart?
515
A little bit, a little bit more than I give off.
516
You'd never know he used to be.
517
What would you call yourself when you were a teenager?
518
I would say I was pretty alternative metal goth type of thing.
519
I was really into like all the the fucking goth bands of the cure about house sisters of mercy the joy division.
520
And then I got into black metal dark throne on Satyra
521
Khan Emperor all the fucking black metal bands mayhem all that
522
but you're still into the music i'm still into the music
523
and a little bit i think i still have the undertones
524
of like somebody who was um very alternative you just don't wear colored contacts anymore yeah and
525
and dye your hair oh no you do dye your hair
526
i have like some a little bit blonde a little bit i bleached it
527
and the guy who bleached it was like a norwegian punk guy
528
so at the hostel
529
but you don't dress like a goth not as most of
530
the time yeah not as much he dresses for fitness yeah
531
and hot climate like i still kind of have like uh
532
sort of like a hippie nomad type of like like alternative
533
look i don't think i look like a fucking like your
534
normal like yeah boring no normies here yeah no boring ass like polo shirts okay i thought of another question
535
when is your birthday august 4th are you a leo i'm a leo anything else you want to say
536
or yeah to the world because this is your platform thousands of people will see this
537
so anything you want to get out there or anywhere that like
538
if you want people to follow you on instagram you can
539
put your my instagram is alvegano um that's where i'm more
540
active on vegano on instagram it stands for the vegan hybrid right vegan hybrid athlete basically yeah
541
and what do you mean hybrid athlete uh just multiple sports
542
like not just one thing i do surfing i do cycling i do i'm calisthenics bodybuilding stuff
543
so and rock climbing here and there
544
and i just yeah it's like you do multiple disciplines cycling also
545
and what kind of stuff do you post on there i
546
just post uh mostly training stuff um um just training physique um pictures modeling stuff i do
547
that too so oh yeah he's trying to start modeling yeah i'm getting into the modeling thing
548
and more tv stuff thank you for watching uh hopefully the audio quality came out good
549
because you know it's i don't know there's always issues
550
but uh but you guys are always nice
551
and tell me it's fine it's fine we hear you fine so hopefully
552
that is the case thank you for watching to the end
553
those of you who watch my videos to the end i love you i always tell you this
554
and i will never stop telling you this i love you very much from the bottom of my heart and
555
if you found it difficult to understand uh gus well one
556
like i said you could turn on the captions try it
557
again you can also play with the speed on youtube i should have said this at the beginning
558
but you can like slow it down
559
or whatever you know gus i would say
560
that gus speaks pretty fast that's just him i think like
561
it depends on the person i speak kind of slow generally
562
um even slower than how i'm speaking right now usually some
563
people speak slower some people speak faster native speakers i'm talking about don't be too discouraged
564
if you found it difficult to understand him he talks fast i think he speaks clearly people say
565
that i speak very clearly and that other native speakers don't
566
so this will be interesting to see how you guys react to him
567
if you think that he speaks clearly or not we're gonna go now
568
so have a wonderful day that was fun peace bye bye bye

  • "Less of a noticeable accent": Accento meno evidente. Perfetto per discutere di pronuncia e fluibilità.
  • "Grew up around the internet": Crescere con internet.
