The Franciscans are a very large family.

There are many branches of the Franciscans.

I discovered that the conventional Franciscans are a very old branch going all the way back to the beginning, to the life of Saint Francis.

And I found that for me I kind of fit with them.

Besides being old and rooted, they had a great variety of ministries.

They were all over the world and their sense of fraternity, their sense of brotherhood is something that I could really appreciate.

I settled on the Franciscans because I believe that he was a great man of fraternity.

Even though he was holy in himself, had great gifts in himself,

he believed that he couldn't serve others or probably even change the world without brothers around him.

And that really appealed to me.

And I think for today also, young people are looking to change the world, but they want to do it together.

They want to do it in common.

And I think that's what we offer in religious life, that together with a common mind, a common heart, we can really change the world.
