Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

It's my second day here

and yesterday I stumbled upon this beautiful skyline with the Landmark 81 and there is an entire area hiding back there.

I have no clue what to expect.

It's supposed to be super modern, different and I'm just so excited.

So join me!

So, first things first, we need to get to our new area.

Wow, these views are seriously impressive.

And there are so many ways to get around the city.

But I highly recommend hopping on a scooter at least once and really feel like you're part of it all.

who just hopped off the bikes right here i would say

it was like a pretty much a head -to -head race

i would say it's a tie honestly he insisted he won

but i don't know and here just arrived with this epic epic view isn't

that crazy and we're here in the wind homes central park

and the entire area i guess is known as wind homes

but it's just like super gray and dark

and i mean the sky is super gray and dark

and just the buildings are super gray and dark

and like overall the first impressions of the entire area is a bit sad

and gray but the park just makes the best out of it

and i'm open to explore what it's all about i saw somebody else is taking some content there

and benches everywhere just a super neat neat and tidy park wow oh and here you have so many koi

fishies and birdies

and just walking around here keeps popping up it reminds me a little bit of Dubai

and back there is a pretty cool bridge reminds me a lot of Singapore like the Helix bridge

and here's just so beautiful you have like a little garden cornfish everywhere super livable

and enjoyable area I know the start of the video is pretty pretty slow

but the views here are really a must -see when you're in Ho Chi Minh.

I don't enjoy it.

Mhm.

On the way, we found a little tennis court.

It's just so, so nicely made.

You have funky little stone walls here.

It's just such an insanely livable area, you know, because you don't have much life in the buildings you have

so much making up for it here and it's just

so fun you know you live here you walk out you have like

so much nature wow let's go on the fun helix bridge now

definitely a cool way to cross over the street

and right now there there's so many little what do you call them kites super cute

and on the other side there's also another like helix bridge

It's really fun.

Perfect little street with nature bushes trees and

You see the park is never ending I think you can really spend hours walking through the park

and still haven't seen everything.

There's also the river

So don't worry.

We're gonna go to the river as well

But for now and you're also amazing area a little kids playground workout area fun fun fun

Wow, what is this?

Yes, funky.

So we decided to grab a quick snack, but overall like a super cozy area.

Lots of restaurants, lots of cafes.

So we'll see if we stop by anything else.

But this already looks pretty, pretty nice.

Looking good.

A little spring onion fried chicken.

But in this area I haven't seen any street food yet So commercial break is over, we're back in the park

Super delicious food and now there's like kites everywhere

It's so so cute, super fun

Also the park has gotten a bit busier I would say

In the half an hour that we didn't spend here

And just barbecue everywhere, so so cute

But now we're going to the water, just gonna take a quick look

But overall it's so fun So fun!

Funky little statues and here a little prominent walk.

The Saigon River Cruise. So cool.

And I'm a bit surprised.

I thought we would see like the District 1 skyline a little bit from here.

But I think we have to walk like all the way around to actually see some buildings.

But for now, I would like to walk the other direction.

I see there's like a little view platform.

Super cool.

And on the other side, you definitely see pretty, pretty beautiful villas.

I bet they have a super dope view on this side nice balconies.

Wow, I would like to live there.

You see here so many like little houses and barbecues. So dope.

I think it's like actual barbecue stations.

You have like a sink and a table.

Let's go check it out.

Yeah, that's so so dope.

Wow, that's cool.

Everybody's grilling here like isn't that an insane barbecue spot wow

and yeah you have a grill I guess

you just have to bring your own gas you have a table I don't know

if you have to rent them or something let somebody know

that you're using it for the day but it's smelling

so good here and I just saw the ladies are wearing like merchandise like something barbecue

so I think you can hire people to cook for you and your family.

That's cool.

You know, at this point, I have been to quite a few like green spaces, parks in major

Southeast Asian cities, and this one gotta be like my top two, maybe top one.

I'm not sure which one would beat this.

You know, travel can get pretty hectic sometimes.

Whether I'm exploring a new city or rushing through the airport, one thing I can always rely on is my suitcase.

That's why I'm happy to be partnering with Level 8 for today's video.

These are my Voyager models.

You have seen this little one quite a bit.

It is my go -to for daily travel as a full -time traveler, the 20 -inch model, great for carry -on.

100

And on the other side I have the checked -in version, the 28 -inch, amazing for longer travel.

101

Even if I have multiple bags stacked on top, it keeps being smooth and honestly just a game changer.

102

And they're incredibly sturdy.

103

I bet your toddler could roll around on it and have the time of their life.

104

Actually, I think I'm gonna give it a try myself.

105

Now this is the suitcase I used to travel with and honestly it has seen better days, especially the wheels.

106

I can just feel it's getting stuck when you're rushing to the airport on a busy day.

107

It really slows you down.

108

The seams are just opening up and overall it looks very flimsy

109

and plasticky and on the other side you have the build of Level 8.

110

It's just not comparable, especially on long travel days.

111

I'm so, so grateful for it.

112

And with many different colors and styles, mine are just so clean and effortless and backed by a lifetime limited warranty.

113

This is the suitcase at Trust for all of my adventures.

114

So check them out using the first link in the description.

115

Don't forget to use code Alex10 for a special discount and wherever you're headed next, Level 8 got your back.

116

So let's roll back into the adventure.

117

Thank you.

118

Thank you so much.

119

He's making like a little video of people of Ho Chi Minh.

120

And it's been really great.

121

Honestly, everybody's super smiley.

122

Like he usually asks, hey, can I take a video?

123

Like you look cute or you look good or I like your outfit.

124

And the people just get so excited.

125

And it's just so heartwarming.

126

I really enjoyed it.

127

It's time to go to Landmark 81.

128

Wow, just such a great vibe here.

129

I know there's a mall downstairs, want to check that out and upstairs is like a little lounge bar type of thing.

130

Maybe also go up there.

131

I know views right now are so -so, but that was a pretty nice first impression of the park here.

132

I think this is like the heart of the area

133

because I can imagine like between these buildings it can get pretty sad here and there.

134

Of course you have restaurants and bars and cafes, but the park here is really, really something special.

135

How do you say hello in Vietnamese?

136

Xin chào.

137

And thank you?

138

Come on.

139

Come on.

140

I learned.

141

I'm Vietnamese now.

142

Maybe in Lissi tchau.

143

Ah, Lissi tchau.

144

Ah, yeah.

145

And what's your favorite food?

146

Pizza.

147

Pizza.

148

Me too.

149

That's also my favorite food.

150

You know, pizza is from Italy, where he's from?

151

Yeah.

152

Cute seven -year -old practicing English.

153

My mother was so, so great.

154

She's seven years old from District 12 here.

155

And basically she came up to us like, do you speak English?

156

I need to...

157

I practiced my English and the mom was standing on the side.

158

Super cute.

159

Didn't film a lot of the conversation because in the beginning we didn't ask for approval,

160

but then he asked if we can take a picture of her and then...

161

So, super cute girl.

162

And like overall, everybody here is just so friendly.

163

I'm having the best time in Vietnam so far.

164

I think so far might be my favorite country.

165

Just the people, the food and areas like that are super, super interesting.

166

Let's see what else we can find.

167

And just FYI since we're directly underneath it, Landmark 81 was finished building in 2018.

168

The constructions took around four years I believe and overall it was such an impressive building.

169

Main purpose is like luxury apartments and bars and lounges

170

and of course the fancy mall on the bottom but also it's Vietnam's tallest building and it's definitely impressive.

171

It slowly starts to light up and down here you have like little attractions

172

and so many lights so let's explore more

173

wow the lights turned on so beautiful and festive love it

174

Wow and here is a busy busy party we can have like a little overview from the bridge

175

and it's a super fun wow so cozy

176

and here around we have like spa cafe restaurant back

177

there is another I think a basketball court the palm trees the mall this looks

178

so fun like you know the buildings look a bit sad not gonna lie

179

but then you look down here it's like wonderland that's fun yeah

180

and here you can really feel win homes smart city

181

it's the first one of its kind in the entire vietnam

182

and it's just so unique i'm really wondering who lives here

183

and how much it is if it's like more upscale

184

which i guess but honestly there's like

185

so many apartments here i can imagine it's still more

186

or less affordable and just standing underneath it reminds me

187

so much of Dubai

188

but overall the entire area around it way nicer really really fun let's enter the mall win come center

189

so first impressions definitely a pretty cool mall it's huge

190

so far nothing too crazy looks like most of the fancy malls

191

but yeah here we have a couple of cars what brand is that

192

cool cool cool oh pretty cool we just saw there's an ice rink downstairs let's go check

193

that out that's definitely very fun here

194

we have the ticket counter for the sky view how much are the prices

195

so in case you're here on maybe a sunny day the ticket to go up is 300 000 and that's around 11,

196

12 euros I would say.

197

If it's sunny definitely worth it.

198

Yeah, I bet you have a nice view of the entire skyline

199

But today not so much.

200

Wow, the ice rink is huge I knew you could actually see it.

201

That's so so fun.

202

Wow.

203

I love ice skating.

204

I'm not the best, but I love it

205

Wow, some people here are really really talented.

206

I'll be curious how much it is to go in there.

207

A little bit of a queue

208

Here you can just pause if you care to come.

209

Not bad, not bad.

210

Now I think I would like to go up to the Sky Lounge

211

and see maybe a little bit of a sunset, something.

212

At least the light's turning on, you know.

213

Wow, it smells so amazing.

214

I haven't been in the cinema for so many years.

215

It smells so, so good.

216

Oh, Zootopia.

217

Did I have that in English?

218

We buy food.

219

Okay, so you buy the cinema tickets?

220

I buy the food?

221

I guess we'll see what the evening brings, but I would really like to watch a movie.

222

I mean, the past four months have been traveling non -stop, but I don't remember the last time I was in a cinema.

223

Nice, we're going to blank sky lounge.

224

Oh, a lot of traffic.

225

Never mind, that was the wrong elevators and there actually some guys are entering their apartments, which is pretty impressive.

226

And here are the main elevators to go to the Sky Lounge.

227

Hello, a blank Sky Lounge?

228

Did you have a reservation?

229

Oh no. So maybe you have to wait, we have the waiting list.

230

Oh, ok, ok, ok.

231

Could've thought that you need a reservation.

232

Thank you so much.

233

super sad i mean could have thought about the fact that fancy

234

Sky Lounge bar will need a reservation, but whatever, I thought it's like a bit not so busy.

235

Well, there's a lounge on the 48th floor, which I think can also still look very nice.

236

I think it's also going to be a bit cheaper and they have coffee there, which I'm always a fan of.

237

So I guess let's go up and see how that looks.

238

Otherwise, for the 75th floor, you have to wait around 30 minutes and it also looks a bit pricey.

239

I don't know if they have like a minimum money you have to spend to be able to sit there, which I can imagine.

240

So if you're here, if you want to go up, make a reservation.

241

Oh, that's beautiful.

242

Wow, wow, wow. That looks good.

243

It looks fun.

244

So this is our first time seeing the river at night.

245

We did walk around there and we saw this big building with the Vietnam flag, but also the bridge is illuminated it's like turquoise blue

246

and you also see the Bitexco tower which just looks

247

so impressive like I don't know

248

which view is better you can also go up on the sky deck of the Bitexco

249

but I think here might also be really good

250

and 48th floor already really really impressive

251

so let's go check out the cafe here is a corner with a bit less reflections wow

252

and you can look all the way down which is also super interesting you see like cords back there so so fun

253

perfect thank you so much

254

so over here it's pretty busy we got a table on the inside of course you have like tanned windows

255

and it's pretty like reflective and outside everything currently is busy

256

if you don't have a reservation again here same problem

257

but at least we got a seat here

258

and the view still super super beautiful we're gonna check out the menu and decide

259

if we want to stay let's see how expensive coffee is in vietnam's tallest building oh yeah

260

that's crazy expensive oh my goodness here you have some spaghetti some food option just

261

so you know what to expect when you come up here cloud.

262

Super cool.

263

The entire building.

264

Wow, down there is a pool.

265

That's an impressive view.

266

I wonder if the other building is in the way or if you can see the skyline.

267

Definitely a really, really fancy hotel.

268

Beautiful cafe.

269

A bit out of my budget, honestly.

270

A bit overpriced.

271

So we're going back them.

272

Back in the mall honestly like my head hurts a bit I'm not in the best coffee mood

273

and I was just expecting something else also different views it was nice

274

but like there's kind of glass all around

275

and especially the outside sitting was very very low as per Vietnam standards

276

but like I could pay 10 euros for a coffee

277

but I have to be really really in the mood for one

278

I feel like for sunset hours it would have been so beautiful

279

but now we saw the lights it was beautiful with a couple of pictures check out my Instagram

280

and yeah we did a little bit of a sneaky peeky

281

didn't pay for it we are back outside with this super cool view

282

and yeah just want to walk around here the area now

283

overall I saw some apartments here on Airbnb

284

and they were like quite affordable like 15 years a night with a pool with a gym like a condo

285

I'm not sure if it's these exact buildings

286

but it did say wind home so i guess it's here

287

and should we walk here yeah

288

now i just want to walk a bit through the buildings see how the vibe is here especially at night

289

i feel like it's a bit more busy like during the day people are more like inside

290

and overall the tower looks so

291

so beautiful it's lit up purple i can see more

292

or less where we were like on the ledge and it's going

293

so so high up pretty cool okay that's a surprising there's another pool right here

294

and a little outdoor gym area again funky little pyramids

295

and it's fun the pool is really unexpected though oh there's like a market here that's dope i don't know

296

if it's here every day today is saturday

297

so let's look for the market now beautiful jewelry

298

so nice oh funky designs oh

299

and the prices of these things are pretty pretty good that's

300

so beautiful so cute and yeah it's honestly pretty pretty huge we have

301

so many dresses and also here like calendars

302

and bags lots of like handcrafted things here these are

303

so beautiful wow all of this is so cute as presents like this is the perfect market

304

to find christmas presents

305

so fun oh here we have some food

306

you want to buy let's get let's try it we got ourselves some dumplings wow the corn dogs look

307

so good you want some corn dogs or some corn

308

i guess it's turning into a food vlog but everything just looks

309

so good i still have to figure out my cash sometimes.

310

All right, 30k for a corn dog.

311

Yeah, one.

312

Oh yeah, she's frying it up.

313

It's getting warm.

314

First time in Vietnam I tried these crispy thingies.

315

Really good.

316

Oh, juicy.

317

We're recycling our previous cup.

318

Come on.

319

Nice.

320

This is super fun.

321

We have

322

so many different food stands here wow is it good i just have to think there was a concert

323

or something because the boys keep going back and forth and unbuilding everything wow look at these views look

324

ah look at all of this here you can have some vietnamese green papaya salad with salty crops

325

and this looks so good i guess you can mix yourself like a little platter

326

so many good things here this looks so interesting i think it's with chia seeds or something

327

these look so good everything looks so good oh i didn't see these snails here

328

pretty cool this also looks so good i had this the yeah this one looks nice

329

no idea if it's sweet or salty but i guess we're gonna try anything else you fancy?

330

These look so fun.

331

Brown cake.

332

That's brown cake, that's nice.

333

So I think here everything is sweet and on the other side you have salty savory.

334

I'm excited to try.

335

The price is a little bit of a surprise.

336

$47.

337

Yeah, thank you so much.

338

Thank you.

339

Let's go try.

340

So all of that was $53 ,000.

341

I wasn't excited to try and also I think they're just setting up.

342

The concert here, I think it's about to happen.

343

Looks like it.

344

Very exciting and overall like super epic view upstairs here.

345

So make sure to check out the area around landmark 81.

346

You excited?

347

I know this taste.

348

I've tried stuff like that in China.

349

It's like traditional candy.

350

It looks like with beans or something like that.

351

I'm not a fan, but it's good.

352

This is super cool.

353

Reminds me a bit of the Turkish...

354

I forgot the name, but...

355

This is super nice, but it's really hard to chew.

356

It's like sugar glaze, sesame seeds, and just like a dough ring.

357

Really nice.

358

so i'm on a hunt for water now or honestly something to drink

359

and while these lights are definitely not made for tall people

360

but wow here you have like super beautiful little what do you call it bowls

361

and glasses i personally really like stuff like that it just keeps going

362

fountains

363

and a little christmas wonderland funky statue cool i think

364

i'm gonna pop into circle k just to get some water

365

because i don't see anybody selling water here just juices

366

and again a little outdoor gym wow this area is really great

367

i thought between the buildings would have been super boring

368

but no right underneath the landmark 81

369

and here the entire lower floor we have like restaurant bar cafe we have like some full i think

370

and circle k like convenience stores i think downstairs might be a supermarket i've heard the name before somewhere yeah

371

and here a luxury gym by california pretty cool like honestly just so

372

so much to do oh wow made it back in China for the concert

373

i think they're doing a sound check right now looks so beautiful

374

and the man is still hungry so we're gonna choose something salty now as well Ta -da!

375

Cheese sticks and skuas I think they're building the.. what do you call it?

376

Auditorium Where the people can sit and watch, that's so cute

377

We could have

378

So I would say we spent like an hour in the outside area, you know, snacking, enjoying the music,

379

and now it's almost 8 p .m and we saw that there's Zootopia in English, Zomania, I think in many countries it's called,

380

basically like the fun movie with the rabbit and the fox, and I used to love it when it first came out,

381

and now the second part is there, and honestly why not, you know, travel has been a bit stressful,

382

why not just sit down for a bit, relax, turn off the head, a little fun kid movie.

383

We'll see how expensive it is.

384

Thank you.

385

I'm so excited.

386

You know, I wanted to go home a bit earlier.

387

I'm looking for the bathroom.

388

I wanted to go home a bit earlier and, you know, edit a bit, but the cinema won 4 euros per person.

389

270 for two so like 135 per person which makes it around four

390

or five euros per ticket which is really amazing

391

that's a crazy long queue what's happening all the way back there and the mall is already closed

392

So we just came out of the cinema, had a really great time, fun date night and suddenly there's so so many people here,

393

I'm not sure for what exactly, I think it's for Avatar,

394

I think it's for Avatar but there's multiple movies at once so I cannot say for sure but yeah, at 11pm, busy busy.

395

I think we're being criminal, nothing is working anymore.

396

wow this is fun this is like night in the museum but night in the mall that's crazy

397

have you ever been in the mall at night oh my goodness

398

what i love though is there's work roofs and everything

399

and they don't care like the door upstairs was closed

400

and they're like oh yeah there's tourists walking around they're gonna see

401

that the door is closed wow you also see the ice rink wow it's freezing here

402

oh that's a very fun experience i like that they're so chill about it

403

we're back down at the cinema floor wish us luck finding the actual entrance

404

but all of the doors are closed

405

i guess the only way out is down through the parking lot i think so many scooters

406

at least we're getting our steps in to finish the day off

407

and yeah landmark 81 is already turned off everything is going

408

to sleep slowly all of the palm trees are off the bridges Amen.

409

How is that possible?

410

You left two minutes after me and you won.

411

It was a crazy, crazy driver.

412

Like my dad?

413

Yeah.

414

Because all the way there, my first driver, yeah, he was flying over the bumps.

415

I was like, whoop, flying up a bit.

416

And now this one was so sweet, always slowing down on the bumps.

417

So I don't complain.

418

This time I lost fair and square.

419

oh yeah that's cool somebody's home

420

but yeah we're back in district one approaching our apartment

421

and honestly i gotta say

422

i just love the vibe of district one especially where we're

423

staying like you see all of these like small little side

424

streets the yeah the modern side was super cool definitely i think we have to go left here you sure

425

we're gonna get lost in the labyrinth yeah very sure look

426

that's where the puppy is always yeah

427

we have like a puppy he's always chilling here in the corner during the day

428
