It was Monday. My smartphone alarm went off at six o'clock in the morning.

I turned it off and slowly got out of bed.

Monday mornings are a bit low-key.

I opened the curtains and saw that it was still a little dark and raining.

People heading to work were carrying umbrellas.

Some were even riding bicycles in raincoats.

I decided to listen to music on my smartphone before brushing my teeth in the bathroom.

I put in earphones.

Brushing my teeth while listening to my favorite music makes me feel good.

Then I washed my face with cold water.

I felt refreshed.

I opened the refrigerator to make breakfast.

There were eggs I bought at the supermarket yesterday. I made fried eggs with them. Then I toasted some rye bread. I usually eat rice for breakfast, but today I had bread. I don't like milk, so I always drink soy milk. I stopped the music and turned on the TV. I was looking at this week 's horoscope.

I'm a Pisces.

It looks like this week will be a very good one. I felt happy.

It was 30 minutes until I had to leave the house. I quickly got dressed.

I swapped my favorite light blue skirt for a white blouse.

Then I combed my hair and put on lipstick.

I put on my rain boots and walked to the station.

I took the train to school.

The wet umbrella of the person sitting next to me was a little close to my skirt, which was a bit annoying.

When I got to school, I had Japanese class.

I'm not good at kanji.

I practiced writing the kanji for "study" over and over again.

Kanji is difficult.

For lunch, I went to a nearby ramen restaurant with a Korean friend.

The ramen here has lots of green onions, which is my favorite.

The staff were very kind.

My friend told me about her shopping trip on Sunday.

She said she bought a lot of summer clothes and used up all her part-time job pay.

In the afternoon, we had math and English classes.

I'm good at math, so I solved a lot of math problems.

My friend was having trouble, so I helped her.

I practiced my English pronunciation, pronouncing each word carefully.

The rain had stopped after school.

I stopped by a convenience store and bought two newly released cakes before heading home.

When I got home, my mom was cooking dinner.

Today's dish was spaghetti Napolitana.

I helped with the salad.

After dinner, I ate the cake while watching TV with my mom.

After that, I did my homework for the day.

It consisted of writing a Japanese essay, practicing English vocabulary, and doing some math problems.

Around 10:30 PM, I took a shower, stretched in bed, and went to sleep.

That's all for Monday.
